I was in town for a concert and the hotel location was very convenient to the venue. It was a 2 minute walk. I didn't mind paying a little more for the room because I figured it would balance itself out by the time I paid for event parking. Which is usually anywhere from $40 to $80 depending on the town. On my way to the hotel I see parking lots for $20. I travel a lot and every hotel I have stayed at has parking included. We arrived at the hotel around 6pm, checked in, and I asked the concierge what parking lot or garage we are to use. She informs me that parking is not included. I thought to myself if I would have known that, I would have stayed somewhere else for at least half the cost. The staff were pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel was very nice and clean. My friend and I continued our evening, went to the concert, and hit The Bob afterwards. The next morning I went downstairs for coffee and maybe something to eat. As I entered the continental breakfast area, a staff member told me that breakfast is $20. For that price and what was on the buffet tables, I didn't feel as though it was worth it. So I decided just to get a coffee, which was $3. We checked out around 11am. We leave the parking lot and our total for 17 hours was $55. The hotel was very nice, but being charged for every single thing that is usually free at other hotels, wasn't worth it to me.

Close to Van Andel was the main reason in staying. I needed a phone Saturday night & the lady at the desk couldn’t have been nicer & more helpful. She was excellent. Called earlier in the week & again the lady answering was very courteous. And that’s important to me.

The rates weren’t customer friendly but it was the weekend of Alan Jackson & it was a Saturday. Thought the coffee maker in the room was a pain to figure out how to work. Twenty bucks for breakfast & three bucks for coffee was a bit much.

Great location near Van Andel arena, just a few minutes walk away and to really good restaurants. Nice bar in the lobby area; Ashley was a great bartender and took care of my friends and their special requests. Clean rooms and very polite staff.

Parking is validated, but at lots further from the hotel. We selected the lot that is outside of the hotel entrance, which I suspect could be owned by the hotel, but have not validated, it cost $60 for the night but was worth the cost.

Highly recommend if staying for an event at Van Andel Arena. Took us 5 minutes to walk to the arena, super convenient.

Parking could be better. Theres a parking garage across the street but the hotels monitored parking garage is behind that one. Theres a small public parking lot right next to the hotel but you have to pay every time you come and go and just to park over night ended up being $50 which is insane

Great location!

The parking was confusing, far, and expensive. I was there with 2 other couples and we ended up in 3 different parking structures by following their directions. That definitely needs to be addressed. I parked in the JW guest parking, had my ticket validated at the front desk and still had to pay $40 to get out. It’s definitely not convenient if you’re an older person, or someone in not the best health. The walk was far from all the structures,

Very stylish hotel, well-appointed, clean, and staff was exceptionally helpful. Good location within easy walking distance to DeVos Center, where our event was held.

It seems odd that turndown service isn't standard, and our room had a ton or noise pollution from the room next door, to the point where we had to request security be called to ask them to turn down their TV.

Location was great! Walking distance of everything we needed and event venue. Nearby parking too. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Only thing that was wrong was that the shower bottle was not full. Of course we didn’t realize until one of us went to take a shower, so slightly inconvenient that we had to wait for someone to come fill it. Otherwise everything was great.

I did not care for the function of kitchenette and bathroom being combined. I felt like I was brushing my teeth, applying makeup etc in the kitchen. I’d separate toilet from shower/sink/mirror instead Was not aware of $50 incidental charge until after the fact and I inquired Coffee/tea station quite skimpy and coffee low quality

It was very nice and clean! The atmosphere was great. The staff was great! The rooms were very nice and clean! Beds and pillows were very comfortable that we all sleep like babies!

The bathroom sinks could be better and better lighting in the bathroom.

The staff was very knowledgeable and just the whole experience was amazing. The bed was so comfortable and I actually got a good nights rest.

That you had to park your car a block and half away but it wasn’t the end of the world.
