We were greeted by Todd. He was such a charming man. Super sweet and greeted us daily. We enjoyed the breakfast you had to offer and Sam was amazing and super polite. You have 2 amazing guys working for you that helped make our stay enjoyable.

The lighting in the bathroom wasn’t good for makeup. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t good at all either.

The historical value is top notch. It was very similar to being at my home, which was built in 1918. It was great to be right by all of South Haven’s great shops and restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The original uranium glass sconce lights in the room were awesome!

Like any structure built before electricity, plug ends are few. While power strips were utilized in some parts of the room, I did have to get on my knees to grab the extension cord, that the lamp on my bedside table was plugged into, so that I could charge my phone and have nearby when the alarm would go off. As I live in an old house w the same issues, I understand the challenges that very few outlets pose.

When we arrived for our stay they were able to accommodate an early check-in which was much appreciated! The gentleman who greeted us when we arrived was very friendly and helpful. He was also at breakfast the following morning and just had such a lovely & outgoing personality. I would also like to say that the hotel has charm and it was located perfectly for all of our interests. The hotel is nestled in the downtown shopping area and only several blocks from the beach and lighthouse. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay here from all the things to do to the comfy bed. We will be back!

Right in the middle of town. It was a charming historic hotel and the staff was very lovely. It was nice to support a non-chain hotel.

The room was smaller than expected with the price, although the bathroom was huge. It was definitely a two star hotel, but the price point felt like it should have been a three star. It was more bare bones than I anticipated.

My friend and I have medical issues and the hotel change our room. Everyone who work there was professional, friendly and treated us like family. The location was great. Everything we need to do or see was close and we did not need to drive anywhere.

Everything was great. Location was super. Staff was fantastic Breakfast was great.

A lovely and charming 3-night stay! The entire team of Todd, Brittany, Meagan, and Sam were incredibly kind and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast every morning is fresh and made to order. The happy hour in the evening is awesome with an amazing charcuterie spread. The hotel is walking distance to everything, as South Haven is pretty small. The AC in the room was icy cold which was necessary because the common areas were overwhelmingly hot. Not the hotel’s fault, just a very hot few August days. We will definitely stay again if we return to South Haven! Oh and dog friendly, which was lovely for our girl to feel so welcome!

The location of this property is perfect - central to everything. I loved the atmosphere and all of the staff created a positive energy!! Loved hearing about the history of the property and the owners have done a fantastic job restoring it to maintain the culture. All and all this property is almost a 10!! We had a nice water view. Our room was very clean and smelled amazing. There was so much to do within walking distance. Bonus - The town and hotel are super dog friendly!! It is within walking distance to South Beach where we walked nightly to watch the sunset. This is a great location for families or a romantic getaway. I can’t speak for all the rooms but room 37 was super quiet but we stayed during the week. The room faces the river.

I would say the only drawback is the common areas were a little warm but it was a nice weekend (mid 70’s) and the doors were open with a nice breeze.

The location is perfectly placed to be in the sight seeing action. The beds are the most comfortable. Slept like a baby. Staff is friendly, breakfast is good . Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Only wish there was a grab bar to get in and out of bath tub. I have disability.

I loved the location it was right downtown so everything was walking distance that I wanted to do. I love that it is historical. I love all the details and vibes of all the original stuff in stuff in the hotel. The staff was so kind and really got to know you and went above and beyond.

I honestly can’t think of a thing!
