It was very quaint and fit in with the vibe of the area. Some rooms were in the main house, other accommodation was separate but very close. There was a lovely outdoor firepit where with sat and made friends with other folks staying there. Very chill people and place

Rooms were a bit old so not surprisingly not a 5-star chain hotel. But very clean and taken care of. I think if any thing needed attention, bathroom could do with a little TLC

We stayed at this location over 10 years ago and it was a bit run down. The place now looks fantastic. Super clean. The facilities and comfort of the room were top notch. This is a great hidden gem if you don't know about it and are in the area

The breakfast could have used some hot options but overall our stay was fantastic

The tub was not draining well and the caulking for the drain stopper had come loose. This made it difficult to try and move the lever to see if that was what was keeping the tub from draining. This didn't negatively affect my stay, but I just wanted to let them know so they could take care of it and I didn't see staff as I was checking out.

The Edelweiss is a wonderful cozy ski lodge in the heart of Ellicottville. I love staying here when I stay in Ellicottville. The rooms are nice. The bed and pillows are so comfy I did not want to leave it. You can have a late night fire anytime of the year. I wish I could have stayed longer.

The heating system is a little noisy.

Donna was an absolute dream!!!! She was so wonderful. There was a nasty guest when she was checking me in and he interrupted our conversation by saying he had been waiting too long. Again, WHILE SHE WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF CHECKING ME IN. He was soooo rude. She handled it like a PRO! And she moved our room to make sure we were away from grumpy.

The guy/owner who checked us in was amazing! Not sure what his name was but so personable. He mad us laugh, he was great!

I’m not complaining because our room was Sooooo cute! But their was hair on the sink and shower from previous people who stayed. There were a few cobwebs in our room. And the coffee pot in our room was not cleaned out.

Great location, walking distance to everything. Nice and quiet. Staff are friendly and working hard to keep things shipshape. Very clean.

Facilities are dated, but serviceable. A bit more maintenance / repair needed in a few spots (lodge main door lock broken door had to be propped open)

large size of room and a room on the end of the building; cleanliness of room; comfortable beds; adequate AC; very nice swimming pool; adequate breakfast with good coffee; well-cared for outside areas around rooms; location within walking distance of downtown; reasonable price for the area

more parking spaces needed; I had to clean the filter in the bathroom sink spigot in order to get any water pressure; tub needs non-slip strips or treatment of some kind as it was extremely slippery when wet.

It is a cozy motel, it was very clean and quiet. The room decor is a little outdated and nothing matches but I get it that not everyone is an interior designer. Bed was comfortable, heat and AC worked great, bathroom was very clean and room smelled good. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Parking was relatively close to our room. It was a very short but nice stay… owner was very nice and helped me carry my baggage into my room. We slept in a missed breakfast 😔

That there wasn’t any restaurants / pubs close by that served food after 10pm. We were hungry!

It’s a great location for our annual girls weekend in Ellicottville. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. The chalet is a fun place to stay.

The chalet is outdated. Curtains for the first floor bedroom and bathroom should be added for privacy.
