I really enjoyed my stay at Nautical Nest. It was an old house that has been converted into about 4 rooms. The check-in process was digital as there is no front desk. My room was very spacious and cute and had everything that I needed. The bathroom was really nice and the bed was soooooo comfortable. There was a window AC unit that kept the room nice and cool in August but wasn't too noisy. The location was perfect (right off the main drag with all of the restaurants and shopping) and the side street it is on was quiet.

One thing to keep in mind is that it is an old, very charming, house, so the floors do creak. The manager does send a gentle reminder in your check-in e-mail to be conscious of noise, particularly if you are upstairs, but if you want absolute dead silence, you will not get it. Though it didn't disturb me, you will definitely hear folks moving around. Also, if your room is upstairs, the stairs looked a bit steep (again, just the nature of the property!)

The check-in process was very easy. The location of the property was ideal - just off of the main street, with easy access to lots of bars, restaurants and shops. The room was spacious and very nicely decorated and clean. The property also had a common kitchen area with snacks and drinks, which was greatly appreciated. The bathroom was new and well equipped too. Communication with the host was easy and quick!

Overall, this was fantastic value for money, but I'd caution visitors that this was a house and one can hear quite easily other visitors move around or use their own facilities. Bringing a pair of ear plugs would help. Also, for me personally, a memory foam mattress was not great, but I realize it's more of a personal preference.

The nautical theme was well-done: lovely shade of navy blue walls offset with white window-shades; well-chosen furniture and drinking cups; interesting seafaring books on the end-tables. Shower worked well--pressure and temp were perfect.

Mainly the lighting. The table (which the website called a desk) had no light. In order to read, I had to use what light I could get from the windows and the bathroom. No alarm clock. While I appreciated the espresso machine, I wish I could figure out how to make a regular cup of coffee with it.

Great location! There are plenty of restaurants in town. If you are wondering where all the new York City people are, this is where they landed and taken over!

Noisy church bells next store, told owner, maybe they will shut off in the future, a little Noisy with people taking showers at night upstairs 🙄

The property is very conveniently located just off Warren Street in Hudson, NY. Hudson itself is a trendy little town with a lovely downtown (Warren Street) filled with interesting shops and excellent restos. Access to the room was through two key pad entry doors - the outside door and the room door and once you have those codes entry is easy. The room itself was very large, but still cozy and the bed was exceedingly comfortable - everything was, in fact lovely. There is a little coffee and snack station outside the door of unit 2 (4 units in the building, 1 and 2 on the ground floor and 3 and 4 up the stairs) Parking is available on Warren Street in a somewhat complicated odd and even date and sides of the street system, which the owner explains in the welcoming email.

The property was great, the only minor thing was the inability to turn the sconce lights beside the bed off from the bed, you had to get up and walk to the room door. as I said a minor point…

Our room was beautiful and thoughtfully appointed, with a terrific bathroom and very comfortable bed. The owner was quick to respond when we had a question about the check-in system.

No complaints about the room or the service. Hudson's overnight on-street parking rule was confusing at first, but we were able to avoid the $15 ticket.

I loved the room and the location, which was just off the main drag. The snacks were outstanding as was the coffee and tea (and plant milks!) that were available.

The check-in process was a little cumbersome but Michael saved the day!

Great location...right off of main street to restaurants and shops. Great size room with everything you can think of to make your stay pleasant. A complementary station right outside the hallway with drinks and snacks plus complementary coffee in room. Plus the room is super clean.

Location was good, although noisy (street traffic and street cleaner). Nice bathroom.

'Garden' was a small area with some chairs and potted lanes. We didn't need it, but a bit of overstated marketing.

This place is a gem. Excellent customer experience: Easy self check-in, very helpful host. The rooms are beautifully designed, well-crafted, spacious, well-maintained and clean. Everything’s available, tea, espresso etc. The location is great, with a wonderful neighborhood: bars, restaurants and cafes. I felt I was at home and I almost regret leaving so soon. Definitely coming back.
