The hotel is blocks away from A, C, A, F, and M trains. This hotel is close to High Line Park. Donut Pub is ten blocks away. They serve croissant donuts and a variety of other donuts 24/7. This is an older building, and therefore, the rooms have a closet, the bathroom has a cabinet for all the toiletries, and a tub. The walls are more soundproof than other hotels I stayed in NYC. Housekeeping was every other day, and it was excellent! Do not forget to tip your maid. Coffee/ tea is available 24/7 in the lobby. The staff was friendly and polite.

The breakfast was lackluster. Fruit selection was a sad red plastic-wrapped apple every day. There was a waffle iron, bread, muffins, scrambled eggs, soggy potatoes, oatmeal and bacon. It's the same thing every day. Wi-Fi was terrible. We gave up and used a phone hotspot.

The room was a good size for a hotel in NY and the bed was really comfortable. It was quiet and clean, and the breakfast was not bad. The location was really good, right in the heart of the Chelsea area and there are a few metro stations within a short walking distance. I would stay here again when we are in NY.

At breakfast, there were only disposable utensils and paper plates and cups, lots of single-use plastics.. Even the apples at breakfast were individually wrapped in plastic, and the each fork and knife were also each individually wrapped in plastic. It is very wasteful.

Great location, near two stations within a minute walk that go uptown or downtown and reach major areas within 15 minutes. The free breakfast has great variety and is kept stocked over a 4 hour period, so there's no need to rush to get to the dining area. Staff is incredibly friendly and has answers for all your needs. There is always someone there willing to assist even in the late hours. Items such as laundry detergent, snacks, dryer sheets, and water are available for purchase near the front desk to make dirty clothes easier to deal with. You can even connect your phone to the washing machine to get it started without using coins! Rooms are large and have enough room for multiple people and their things. Multiple lights keep the room well lit and comfortable to rest in. A tall closet is stocked with many hangers, an ironing board, and an iron. The air conditioner is top-notch and keeps the room very cool and comfortable during very hot and humid days. The water in the bathroom runs very hot and comfortable, and the pressure is perfect. You can adjust the shower head to your preference as well. Behind the large mirror is space for your amenities. Housekeeping staff stops by every few days to bring fresh towels and sheets and do an incredible job. Overall, the staff is top-notch and makes for a fantastic stay in the heart of New York.

My only complaint is that the beds are quite stiff and uncomfortable to sleep on, making it hard to get a good night's rest and often kept me up at night. After a long day of exploring the city it wasn't something I looked forward to at the end of the day. The dryer also doesn't connect to your phone if you use the CSC app as it didnt work during my stay, so you'll have to give front desk bills to exchange for coins which isn't a big deal, just a bit inconvenient. Especially if you've already put money into the app which you can't get back.

The location was great and walking distance to a lot of the main attractions/ places we wanted to go and the subway/ Penn station. The room was a good size considering we went for the cheapest queen bed option and we had a nice city view even though we didn't pay for that as an extra, so we were lucky! There was a little noise from other rooms through the corridor but not much through the walls so it wasn't too bad. The toiletries were a good extra as it meant we didn't need to take any shampoo etc The breakfast was pretty basic but we didn't really book it because of that, we had a lot of food plans around the city so we didn't use it a lot! I would recommend this hotel for the location, rooms in general were good and the bed was comfortable.

During housekeeping times there was an extra wait for the lifts, as they used them. We didn't have to wait too long most of the time, so it wasn't too bad but I can imagine that being worse during busy times of the year. It wasn't bad enough to put me off going back here, just plan wisely if you can!

The location is good.

The eye shut blinds need to cover the whole window. It is easier to please in the darkness.

When we arrived, there was no soap or lotion in the room. Within minutes of speaking to someone at the front desk, both items were replaced. 🙂

The breakfast was ok, but there was only one lady restocking the food bar, so there was quite a bit of time spent every morning standing and waiting in a long line for food to be replenished. The carpet was disgusting! You couldn’t tell by just looking at it, but since I was wearing gray footies in the room, & they were brown when I took them off, it was obvious the carpets needed to be deep-cleaned.

Clean room, comfortable bed, bathroom of decent size, plenty of hot water, quiet (!) and--unlike too many hotel rooms today--the room had a small closet/wardrobe with enough room to hang long clothing items.

Everything was fine, really, unless you require a separate sitting area, which this room did not have. Also, housekeeping is only every second day, not daily. Some people may have a problem with this. I was OK with it.

The locations great for the trip to New york

The breakfast areas very cramped and in reality the cost is very high.. (but I know better than others) it's just a real reason to be put off returning to New York

good location for us. Comfy bed and pillows. Friendly staff. Surprisingly quiet. Nice breakfast options .

couple of minor maintenance issues but we didn’t push to amend since our stay was short. We reported and staff was apologetic and having the room checked. Room carpet would benefit from a deep clean but otherwise very clean.

I have been staying at tge Hampton Inn Chelsea 3 - 4 times a year for the past 20 years and this year it was clear that Jessica Matthews no longer is the manager. She will be sorely missed and she absolutely deserved her promotion. However, the new manager I am ssure, will soon take control. The people at the reception need a lot more training in customer service except for Sharon, who always is super professional. The location is perfect with easy access to subway and shopping on 6th ave, although it was easy to see that New York is still suffering from Covid, it was outright sad to see how many shops closed. I certainly hope it will be bettter when I come back in September or October. The cleaning staff was just fine, they came every day asking if I needed clean towels etc. very good.

As I mention above, the new staff at the reseption definetely need a lot more training in customer service both face to face with a hotel guest and on the telephone with coming guests and with people who are calling for a hotel guest. The staff must bear in mind that they represent the Hilton and the Hampton Inn Chelsea. That Ms Sharon understand.
