Location and cleanliness. Staff was very helpful and attentive.

I wish there were a coffee spot or restaurant on the premises. Coffee in the room would be nice as well.

Loved the location. The suites were spacious and nice. The location and staff were wonderful. It was a fun hotel to stay at.

It would be nice if there would have been some pans and utensils to cook with. The kitchen could have some more plates, cups, and silverware. In the other suite, the air conditioner was having issues.

The rooms are extremely spacious and have a kitchenette, which is super handy for families. Location is very convenient too

Check in was very quick and easy. Staff were very helpful with any queries, before, during and after stay and even extended our check out when our flight was delayed. They happily stored our luggage on our last day too. Housekeeping always kept our bedding and towels refreshed and were respectful of our privacy and possessions. Continental breakfast is included for all customers, which wasn't mentioned in the listing, so that was a nice surprise. It included plenty of options, with cereals, pastries and awesome bagels. We booked a suite with a balcony on the 15th floor. It was well laid out, very spacious and actually had 2 balconies - 1 covered and 1 not, which was fabulous. The location was great for us and given how busy the streets are, the rooms were incredibly well soundproofed. No noise from rooms above or below, either. A 15th floor suite with a balcony (or 2) is an expensive option, so it's worth considering what you want from it. Aside from the space, I really wanted access to fresh air and the surrounding skyscrapers and street views (partial views of the junctions at Lexington and Park Avenues and a Spider-man view of E56th Street below) were ideal for me, as I'm fascinated by the rooftops of lower buildings and the architecture surrounding us. So, the view doesn't extend for miles (barring east along 56th) and some people may not be keen on facing office buildings (including a dental practice). You do have privacy if you're sitting down on the basic patio furniture provided. Not a criticism in any way, but hopefully useful info. Thanks to some outrageously good September weather, we were treated to beautiful starlit skies, and it was great to sit outside the room and watch the moon make its way across the sky. Inside, the huge lounge was extremely comfortable, the kitchen stocked with hob, fridge, microwave etc and the bedroom came with a huge comfortable bed and plenty of storage (including a safe).

Overall, this is a very minor point. The bathroom looked and felt a bit dated and looked quite worn in places and could use a refurb. The shower pressure was quite meek, although hot water was in good supply. It took us a while to figure out that the plug in the sink is released by a lever under the sink. Investment could perhaps be made in toilet paper that doesn't disintegrate and requires several flushes (I suspect it's made from recycled materials). That said, it's not a "didn't like" and more of a "could be better". Oh, and perhaps a teaspoon and a towel in the kitchen. As I said- very minor.

So happy that this is a lovely place, reasonably well-priced, towards the upper east side! So few hotels are in this area, and this one is definitely worth staying at.

The mattress was rock-hard. There was no coffee in the room. Yes, a coffee maker, but no coffee. Why? I was informed that, as a residential hotel, each room has a different type of coffee maker, so coffee is not supplied. That's okay (and there is a great little coffee shop just steps away), but I would have preferred not to have been misled by the indication on the website that a coffee maker would be supplied. Okay, that was true, but I believe most people would assume that coffee comes along with it!

Location was great. Staff very friendly.

We splurged and paid extra and booked a 1 bed apartment so we could cook. The photos are misleading and the kitchen is so small you could barely move, it’s like a cupboard. The oven is a tiny bench top thing. Only 2 glasses, plates, forks etc. not made for families. We were first in a room that was decorated appalling and we couldn’t stay in it. Mirrors everywhere. We requested to be moved, which they did the next day. We had also requested a rollaway bed, which we did not have for the first night so it was an uncomfortable night. The staff did help but unfortunately the first night was a disaster.

Loved the spacious accommodations and location. Two bathrooms was a luxury traveling with 5 women. Hotel staff were wonderful hosts. Housekeeping did a fabulous job keeping room clean.

I know it is NY and rooms are pricey, but for that price I thought kitchenette would be better stocked with silverware, plates, and glassware. Would have been nice to have single cup coffee machine and coffee makings. We had trouble finding decaf coffee grinds nearby for the Mr. Coffee regular coffee pot. Would also recommend more mirrors in the unit. Only mirrors are in bathrooms. Maybe add in hallway or living area. We booked that unit because traveling with 5 women, two in their 20's. Getting ready to go out we could have used extra mirrors for hair and makeup.

Superb location close to MTA. We had a one bedroom studio for two adults + two kids, it was very spacious. We used our kitchen a lot for quick meals. The cleaning on a daily basis was perfectly done. We felt very cozy in our studio, the lobby is very welcoming.

There is a large construction site next door, mornings start early. Some staff are a bit cold but overall very helpful. I read that some rooms are worn out but in our case everything was in a very good shape. It may feel outdated for some but it didn’t bother me at all.

Everything. Excellent location. Everything within walking distance, from essabagel to the theaters (a little farther). Room was extremely comfortable and elegantly decorated and huge. Didn’t want to go outnwe were so comfortable. Bathrooms were great with good water pressure and absorvent and new towels. Kitchenette had dishwasher, toaster, stove, microwave, fridge and coffeemaker. Small but it works. Cleaning and maintenance A plus with a smile. Any little glitch (there were just a couple) taken care of immediately. The lombardy is our secret of “the” place to stay in new york. Second time i stayed there this year it was that good the first time and better this time. Listen, i wanted to buy our room! What does that tell you? That everything was perfect, from the front desk that gave me early checkin to a late checkout, to cleaning and maintenance, to a memorable 8 night stay. Thank you snd congratulations.
