The room had all the necessities! Coffee is great and I loved that it was a full-size coffee pot. There is a large outdoor area for campfires and cornhole. The site provided free wood and smore stuff, I wish I knew because I bought some before we got there. We were able to bring food to cook there and we ate on the rocking chairs on the porch every morning. Very charming location, with friendly people.
The beds could have been a bit larger and softer, I do have a King-size at home with lots of padding so it might be an unfair comparison. The Blackstone could be a little closer since we could not fry in the room but I understand the need for distance with smells and fires. Most breakfast food needs frying like bacon and eggs.

The room was super clean and had anything you could want. It was very well laid out. I liked that there were packets to make a full pot of coffee. There was even a cutting board if you wanted to prepare a little meal, along with a microwave and mini fridge. The staff was super friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere of being down in the trees made it so cozy and a cooler temperature up at the hotel. I loved the large wooden deck with the rocking chairs. There were even complimentary games available and places to go grill and sit to eat outside. I wish our stay had been longer.
I liked everything. You can hear if someone is running up and down the deck, but there are signs saying no noise after 10 pm, and the signs were respected so you can get a good night's sleep, but it's kid friendly. There is handicapped parking for those that can't get up the hill from the lower parking area, so that's not a problem. There is also a ramp. Really, nothing to complain about. Everything was great! I would highly recommend this place. It's only three minutes from the River's End restaurant which was also very good.

This place is amazing! They go above and beyond to provide everything you might need for a stay. Mini fridge and microwave, regular coffee pot, kcup, toaster, pans, silverware etc. This room has beautiful themed bedding and looks like a cabin inside and out. 1000% highly recommend! The manager was so friendly and helpful and the lodge is super clean. Outdoor grills and picnic tables available for each room at no extra charge, community fire pit and swings. Beautiful front porch with rocking chairs for each room. Borders the Nantahala Forest. Beautiful mountain setting.

My husband and I loved the outdoor gathering areas! The fire pits are awesome, and we had a great time roasting our hot dog wieners over the fire. The corn hole game was also enjoyable while we waited for the fire to flame up. We took a strong liking to the room we were given because it was clean and cozy! The King-sized bed allowed for a comfortable night of sleep and a nice place to relax with a movie after a long day. The bathroom seems tiny at first because of the corner sink but it worked out just fine! We were very happy with the quiet location that was only a short drive from Bryson City. The quality of communication from the lodge before and during our stay was remarkable. I appreciate the kindness and hospitality of every person we spoke with.
We loved everything about the Lodge! The only negative thing about our stay was on the shoulders of the other guests. We did see signs from the Lodge about "Quiet Time" starting at 10 PM but, there were 2 nights that we were still hearing loud running, stomping, yelling, laughing and chatter hours past the posted time. The windows, and walls are not very thick. If someone decides to speak loudly, you WILL hear them! Early morning some guests sat on the rocking chairs directly in front of our room window and woke us up with loud conversation as well as allowing their child to run up and down the porch. AGAIN, this is not about the Lodge directly but about the level of noise that can be heard.

The Lodge was so nice! They have thought of almost everything anyone could need to include in the rooms. Little things most people don’t think about like paper towels and a bottle opener. The grounds and facilities are well-equipped and clean. Shane and the other staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We have stayed at several places over the years when we go visit my husband’s grandmother in Bryson City and The Lodge has been our favorite!
It’s about a 30 minute drive to Everett Street in Bryson City. It’s also a bit of a trek from the parking lot and up the wood and gravel stairs, which were quite slippery during our winter stay.

One of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in! Every detail was considered in terms of accommodations, fire pits with firewood, s’more kits, BBQ grills with utensils, fully stocked kitchens, food and ice available for purchase and extremely comfy beds with perfectly sized rooms and front porch for a family of four. Staff was extremely helpful and responsive. Less than 10 minutes from whitewater rafting, the NOC, and Gem Mining. 20 mins to downtown Bryson City. Would DEFINITELY stay again.
Everything was perfect!

The outdoor areas are really nice. The owner was cool and the room was nice. It was also nice to has a small kitchen in the room. Even though we didn't take advantage of it I like the fact that they have food on site to grill. They also have plenty of firewood. If I could afford to stay there every weekend I would.
The drive way is a pain in the butt when someone is going the opposite direction.

Perfect Location in mountains. Built into mountain side. Easy short drive to NOC for rafting/kayaking, Bryson City, GSMR trains, Cherokee, Smokey Mountain hikes, Clingmans Dome, Fontana Dam, Cades Cove, & even Tail of Dragon. Lodge is in pristine condition, cleanest place ever, comfortable rooms & beds, great shower, kitchenette, even has wifi, sound machine, games, rocking chairs, picnic area, & grills. Outdoor heaters, swings, and firepit. Owners have thought of everything. Also enjoyed nightly bonfire and visiting with other guests sharing our experiences. A wonderful vacation. We visited in October & enjoyed the fall foliage with amazing leaf colors. Recommend the GSMR Moonshine train trip, lots of fun.
Walkway from parking area is extremely steep but I'd stay again for sure. Would suggest to owner to add a handrail to parking area steps. Definitely gets heart pumping & muscles warmed for your mountain adventures.

The location couldn’t possibly be beat. Everything was very cute and very clean. Very friendly people. Great amenities. Nice beds. Lots of thought and care in all the details. The whole place had enormous charm. I would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
The room was a little small for more than a couple days stay. The setup is very neat and efficient, but there’s no room to unpack. Bathroom sink too tiny to wash face at w/o dripping—directly on the tp roll. Only other problem is that sunlight and privacy can’t be had at the same time. The only window faces the (very cute!) long shared walkway/porch. Blinds either opened or closed. Maybe some semi-transparent curtains would be nice?

The property was in the mountains and woods. It is a very quiet and peaceful location with the sound of the creek and river running below. And the owner Shane would check in on us make sure everything was going great. He even set up the fire pit and supplied s'mores for us to enjoy at night. We celebrated our 14th anniversary here in comfort and relaxation.
We did not want to leave it was so relaxing. My husband and I agree that when we return, and we will definitely return, we will not tell our friends or relatives where we are. It is our secret place. They will have to go stay somewhere else, ha ha. It is that enjoyable.
