I love this place. It's so convenient to get to from Raleigh and super convenient to walk to the beach. It's just a couple of blocks, and while one of the roads is somewhat busy, there's an easy crosswalk. There's a coffee shop right on the walk as well. The rooms are cute and the deck upstairs is wonderful in the morning. The Carolina Beach State Park is really close by--go on the flytrap trail--as is Fort Fisher, which has a lovely beach too. I also stopped by a lot of the public beach accesses at Kure beach on the way to Fort Fisher. Just great all around, and you can't beat the price!

Just really minor things--a couple of light bulbs weren't working, and I would have liked to have a key to the back door that went out on the deck so I could enter that way as well. If there was a key, I didn't see it anywhere. There can be a bit of noise from the road in front, but it depends on what time of year you are there.

The location was amazing, especially for the price. The beach and boardwalk are just straight across one larger road and then 2 small roads, all with crosswalks. It took maybe 5 minutes to get there. There are also a ton of restaurants that are next to the Carolina Beach Inn. Check in was super easy and there was a lot of free parking available in front of the hotel and on the street. Housekeeping was super friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. This is a dog friendly establishment so I personally loved seeing all the dogs at the property. There was a mini fridge in the room as well as a large TV.

The shower was a little dingy and there was limited space in the bathroom to put my toiletries but that was really just a minor inconvenience.

We have been twice now. The first stay was great. The queen standard. The rate was good. The second time we did the queen with the porch. The second stay was less enjoyable. The soap dispenser had no soap. The room was cold because their was no way to adjust temp as it seems the queen with porch temp control is regulated through all the queens with porch on one thermostat. I don't know. We had to pull out the space heater. It would be nice if those rooms had individual thermostats. The not having soap in the dispenser was annoying. 10/10 stay in the queen standard. 7/10 on the queen with porch. We love Carolina Beach Inn. We just didn't know the deal with the queen with porch.. and then the maid service didn't fill soap dispenser.. so.. a little anoying

The inn had a really cute porch and we were upgraded to a spacious suite with kitchen, which was very convenient. It's super close to the beach, only a few minutes walk to all the boardwalk fun! I also loved the back porch and garden, there were cute dogs there. The cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful.

The electricity was out due to a storm when we arrived, so we spent the first 18 hours of our stay without aircon and only half the lights working - the staff was trying to be helpful but we arrived late so we couldn't get it fixed until late morning, almost midday on our first day. I kind of expected some kind of compensation for it since it was a very hot night of sleep and we had to arrive in the dark. I'd also booked a room with a sofa bed, but there was only a small cot that was more suited to a kid than an adult. We found a dead cockroach in the bathroom :/

I love the location! It was within walking distance of restaurants, the beach, bike rental, and the boardwalk. The room was so nicely decorated and had great amenities.

I didn’t like the noise of the other guests and their dogs barking in the backyard area until 3am. But this is not the owners fault or responsibility as quiet hours are posted inside the rooms and right inside the front door. This is simply the lack of respect and manners of other people.

It was in the perfect location. We brought our dog and loved walking him on the beach in the mornings and evenings. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a mini fridge in our room with a freezer which was super convenient! They supplied cold filtered water in the hallway that we used multiple times to fill up water bottles. Next time I would bring a small bag of ice to store in the freezer. We will most likely book again!

Location is perfect. Place is clean, good parking, nicely set up.

I would have been ecstatic at the place for $225-250/nt. $325/nt was too much. Also, the mattress in room #2 was so uncomfortable (hard) my wife did not sleep a minute the first night. The hostess was great, and responsive to the best of her ability, basically also giving us unoccupied room #3, which had a better mattress, to sleep in for nights 2-3. I swapped the queen-sized mattresses between the two rooms so we could stay w/ our stuff in the slightly larger room #2.

The location was fantastic. It's a literal 5 minute walk to the boardwalk and the beach. Communication with the hotel was good, and the available amenities like coffee, toiletries, and charging cables was very thoughtful.

The room was very small, and it's an older, less up to date building. But you don't book here for luxury, you book for value, and access to the beach.

I loved everything about this stay. I loved it so much that I added one extra day to my booking. It was very easy, and a customer representative Zandra took a great care about it. It felt like being back home. It's my second time here and I will definitely be back. I love the new look and family like atmosphere. Coffee maker was a great bonus! Thank you very much for all you do.

4 minute walk to boardwalk , beach, shops and restaurants. Easy short drive to ferry to Southport and Oak Island. Self- checkin.

The security was breached during stay as the front door access code was not activated and remained open to street access day and night.
