Very clean.

Louder fans for privacy in the bathroom. Not to be gross, but how the room is assembled, it would be an asset. I also say this in general. Anytime there is a complimentary buffet, I think there should be an optional tip jar. I went out of my way to tip, and the smile on the person’s face to feel appreciated goes a long way. I think it is customary to leave a little something at the end of the trip for housekeeping too. These are, not amazing jobs to enter the United States and I am a white Caucasian male and do a bit of traveling. Everyone was nice and friendly and I hope the Marriott recognizes the value of people beyond their position. To go to work happy, to pay success forward. We all need employers who believe in personal growth to benefit. I hope that’s Marriott.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Nia. She was very helpful when our daughter showed up at the hotel to see us. The hotel also let us keep our car in the parking lot after the 11:00 check out because we were eating lunch downtown before we left town. The location was fantastic and it was a short walk to downtown Durham. We definitely will stay there next year when we return to see our daughter who lives in Durham.

Like most places, the coffee wasn't strong enough for my taste but the included breakfast was good.

The location is wonderful - within minutes of my Durham offices and many great restaurants. The breakfast is very good, varied and easy to grab on the way out the door.

Some warning about the construction that blocked my normal approach to the hotel would have been good. The water pressure in my sink faucet was low, but the shower was okay. The staffer managing my check in the first evening had a hard time finding my reservation. The pillows are not very comfortable, but otherwise, it's a very good property.

All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel was very nice. Very close to downtown and Tobacco Row. Only bummer was all the construction around the property, but nothing the hotel can do about that.

Water dispensers were hard to find and there was no water in the room. Had to search a bit and found one in the fitness room. One design flaw is the window in the bathroom door. Cool looking but when someone gets up and turns the light on the bathroom it shines brightly in the whole room and disrupts other's sleep.

I Love the location of the hotel. This is my second time staying here. Last year it was for my father’s funeral and this year it was for my Uncle’s funeral. Durham is my parent’s home place and all of my siblings as well as myself was born in Durham. I was born in 1962 and my parents grew up here in the 1932 to the1950’s. I Love the layout of the Suites. Everything is comfortable and I truly feel safe in the vicinity. Last year, my granddaughter left her IPad in the room and one of the ladies in Housekeeping made sure we received it right before we pulled out of the parking lot. Awesome personnel and awesome Customer Service. Looking forward to another trip next year.

I chose this hotel because it was close to my daughter’s school NCCU. I was dropping her off for the Spring semester. The location was great.. Check in was easy and I found all the employees I encountered to be friendly and helpful. My room was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfy. Breakfast was good and so everything met my expectations.

There was construction being done on the road outside the hotel so it was a little confusing using GPS to come and go but, this was of no fault of the hotel.

SpringHill Suites is a new, hotel a few blocks from DPAC-Durham Performing Arts Center ad several upscale restaurants. The Front Desk staff was respectful, friendly, knowledgeable, and available all hours. They greeted guests, stocked the lobby refrigerator, they were multi-tasking and still friendly with customers. My guest room was clean, and spacious. I enjoyed my stay and will return when the opportunity permits.

Make guests aware each room has a power source that requires inserting their room key.(This was new to me)

The hotel was quite new and the design of the suite was very nice...everything in the right place...very clean and smelled good...but breakfast ended at 9 a..m. too soon..extend breakfast at least until 9.30 or 10 better..otherwise it was a good experience...and there was construction going on close to the hotel...

Breakfast ended at 9am..too early and there were no eggs or bacon...add some more stuff to the breakfast

I was so happy to see Oat Milk!!!! I so appreciate when hotels have a dairy alternative for me. Thank you for that. I also appreciated the great customer service I received from Adrian. I LOVED how modern and CLEAN the building, facility, room and hotel decor was.

The mattress on my bed in Room 327 probably could have used rotating. I could tell right away I hopped in on the side of the bed that most everyone else who stayed in that room did. I left breakfast feeling like I wanted a bit more. I thought the breakfast sandwich was a great thing but wished for more choices of fruit or pastry. It was kinda boring and no fresh fruit.

Adrian, the front desk operator, was fantastic. The hotel was clean and well appointed.

Our toliet kept running. I had to fix it each time it was flushed. When we notified the front desk (around 9 pm at night) we were told we could move. Which would have been fine had we not already gotten settled in for the evening. It was an inconvenience so we didn’t move and just played plummers for the remainder of the stay. I would have appreciated a discount towards a future stay.
