The location being so close to Duke because Barry nice. The staff was extremely nice as well.

The hallways were a little loud, but it was graduation weekend so that is to be expected.

The room was big, clean, with appliances like a fridge, microwave, iron, iron table, which was quite convenient. The hotel is located very close to Duke University, what is a plus if you are planning to go there (my case). The staff was very nice and helpful with directions and recommendations (for someone coming from abroad)

About the room, the bathroom was separated in two parts: washbin/mirror space and shower/WC space. The shower/WC space was small compared with the rest of the room, which made it a little uncomfortable for moving safely after taking a shower. The room didn't have a safe where to put documents and values (I was traveling from abroad)

I liked the fact that the hotel offered a free shuttle service to where I needed to be (Duke University campus), on a on-call basis. This was very helpful as the hotel was located in a residential area.

I waited for the shuttle for over 30 minutes; it turned out that the shuttle had waited at the hotel backdoor, but the receptionist did not tell me that (I was sitting in the lobby the whole time). When I asked the receptionist about why the shuttle has not arrived, she said she was not responsible for the shuttles. It would have been nice if the shuttle ran during the weekend as well.

We were very happy with our very clean accomodations. My husband though thought the toilet and shower were tight in space. The sink area is in a separate area which I liked. (We are slim) The best thing is the taxi service the hotel provides within a three mile radius. We thought it was just transportation to the Duke Hospital which was very convenient since my father was having heart surgery. By the second night we treated ourselves to a local restaurant instead of hospital food. Since the traffic is crazy including the parking, the taxi service was wonderful as was the two drivers we had. Exceptional! I felt like we had our own limo service.

Nothing.

The staff is very nice. Taxi reservations, coffee, and luggage storage services are available. The room for two beds is huge. A lot of towels. Love the shampoo and shower gel. Microwave is there for heating foods. The dressing table feels luxurious. Within a 20-minute walking distance to supermarkets and the Duke campuses. Great choice for a campus visit.

No disposable slippers inside the room. Hope there is a hand shower beside the shower head. The lighting is not good at night.

Your staff that manned the desk was professional and courteous. We explained we needed transportation to the hospital, and within 5 minutes a courtesy car and driver appeared. Same routine when we needed a car to bring us back to the motel.

What could have been better, you ask? Well, for starters, having to wait two hours from our appointment time to see the doctor is a downer, but that is not your fault.

The room was super clean. The hotel appears to have had recent renovations. All of the rooms had internal access & it was very quiet about our room. It's conveniently located across from the Duke University clinics (within a comfortable walking distance) Parking was free & they have complimentary shuttle service to the hospital.

The breakfast offerings were lackluster, but I fast, so that wasn't a problem at all.

Very close to Duke where our conference was. It was clean with good free parking. There was coffee in the lobby all the time. We felt safe and comfortable.

It was fairly "clinical" seeming. All the floors were tile, I'm sure so they could be cleaned easily because it is right by the hospital. I'm sure it caters more to families of hospital patients rather than guests looking for a fancy place.

After the front desk lady approved my late checkout - it was a relief as I had a virtual Medical residency interview from 8 am to 1 PM

They kept knocking on ,my door during my interview - probably the cleaning staff was not informed; not to disturb me. Also i could have used the do not disturb tag - not sure if it was available

Duke University Inn is great for a practical visit to Duke. It's walking distance from the campus and the shuttle is a really special service (will drive you anywhere in a 3 mile radius). All the employees were lovely.

You get what you pay for: not a luxurious experience but your needs are covered, including a fridge and microwave in the room and laundry down the hall.
