Mary, the manager was definitely the absolute best part of my stay. You can tell that she really puts a lot of effort into trying to make her guests feel welcome and comfortable. She remembers names and situations her guests are currently living with so that she can converse with them an another time during their stay. Mary was very kind to me at time when I Was already on the verge of a breakdown. I really do like watching people do their best and actually enjoy it. This little motel might not be a luxury 5 start, but to me? it seems like they’re doing what they can with the best opportunity they’ve been given and I see that as , very intelligent move so even though they don’t have all of the amenities or brand new hardware in the bathroom, it’s been done in good taste, and Lewis has all of the best intentions and every effort possible For her guests’ comfort.
Not really their fault but there was some parking lot paving going on and I have a car that hates big potholes. The place was a typical motel with a nice paint job, nice, new flooring for the bathroom/vanity and nice marble slab for the shower/bathtub. I wish the fan for the shower And toilet would have vented more because everything that was behind the door with me while in the shower, got wet because of the condensation. Again, this is me nitpicking to find something bad

Pearl's breakfast was really good food and prices were reasonable. And close to Walmart if you needed anything. Loved the Hocking Hills State Park. There are two different parking lots and signs in the park wasn't marked well and no rangers any where to ask for directions except when you get back to shelter house. So we had to back track 4 miles to get to the right parking lot.climbing on a lot of the steps were to sanding and made it easy to slip and fall if you wasn't careful. The restaurants near by were great. Went to a barbecue restaurant forget the name but it was fabulous. And loved the coffee house coming out of Hocking Hills State Park. There green and black ice tea was really good after being in the 94 degree heat.
The two different parking lots at the State Park and no rangers to ask for directions.

The proprietor, Ms. Mary, is as nice as they come. She is friendly and does her best to make sure you have a great stay. She provided a list of restaurants in the area that either she or her clients had personally tried and enjoyed (and no, she does not get kickbacks for her recommendations). She also took down my phone number so that if we had left anything behind, she would call to let me know before mailing the item(s) back... within reason, of course. HAZMAT items wouldn't be obviously. The friend who came with me on the trip cut her finger with scissors and Ms. Mary provided us with flour, which helped stop the bleeding. We were very appreciative of that. The beds and pillow were comfortable, and I had just spent a night in a TN state lodge whose bed killed my back, so I was happy about that. Also, it was about the little details such as black 'Makeup' washcloths (literally embroidered on it). I have not seen that anywhere else. The location is only 16 minutes from Hocking Hills with a variety of restaurants within minutes of the Inn. I know I'll be staying here again when I come back to the area.
As with any other motel/hotel I've stayed in there is a bit of a musty smell when you first walk in but after a minute or two I don't notice it anymore, until you go out and come back in. Definitely not the worse I've ever experienced and this was a non-issue for me. Aside from that, zero complaints.

Mary, the owner and desk clerk, was wonderfully welcoming and personable - a real sweetheart. The bathroom, along with the sink and mirror are upgraded with marble surrounds and right-height toilets - very clean. Nice to have restaurants, gas, antique shop, visitors center, and Walmart within a half mile.
This is an older motel under transition. The owners have accomplished much which is evident. Being an older facility there was an odder when entering the room. Spoke to the owner regarding their approach to resolving the concern. Once new flooring is installed this will be a very good base for exploring the Hocking Hills region.

This is a budget, practical hotel very well located. Manager is quite attentive and supportive of customer's need. She gave us quite a summary of the eating options around. We visited this hotel during the winter so most of the attractions around were dormant. This might be a great place to stay during the summer. The room was tight but confortable, clean. While on the basic side, our place had everything we need for a good rest. We much appreciated the manager gave us the chance to charge out Tesla with her level 2 charger. However, it's recommended to talk with her since the charger is located just right hotel offices and there's only one spot available for that.

Perfect for staying for the purpose of hiking at Hocking Hills State Park. Usually, I camp, but it was too cold and damp at the time of my visit. So, I don't need anything fancy - just a clean comfortable room. The facilities are very well kept and super clean. When I arrived, I was greeted by the hotel owner/manager, and she was very kind. It was nice to have this option, which was substantially lower cost than the other hotels in the area. Granted, there is no breakfast, workout room, or other extras as there are at the pricier places, but I did not need all that for this trip.
WiFi was pretty slow at times. It still was sufficient, though.

We took our old almost blind dog with us on a two day "quality time with our dog" trip. She loves to ride in car and is quiet and well behaved. This motel let her stay with us and we had fun just being with her. We sat outside our room (in chairs we brought with us) and also took her to an outdoor (dogs allowed) cafe nearby. We drove her around in the car checking out Hocking Hills. There was plenty of grassy areas for us to walk her to potty. The owners and staff we met were so very friendly! We felt very good staying here. It was a nice, clean, nothing fancy but just what we were looking for motel.
Actually we liked it all.

Very clean property for an older building, the owners take pride in their business and keep it all nice and tidy, our room was cleaned daily with our bed made and fresh towels, no dust in site… they would be out washing windows watering flowers and keeping everything nice, the owners were extremely nice, Mary gave us all the local information and the best places to eat upon check-in, they treat their guests so nice and go above and beyond to meet anyones needs…. they will even let you fill your cooler up with ice. 🥰 very close to all the Hocking Hills caves & trails and to restaurants….& lake Logan which has a beach and boat rentals.
There was nothing that we didn’t like.

Mary the owner and manager is so warm, friendly and welcoming! She spent time with us at check in giving us restaurant recommendations and directions. The hotel is walking distance to some great restaurants. Our room was immaculate! Each day housekeeping freshened up our room and replaced what we used previously. Hocking hills state park is fabulous! We will be back. We only did about half of the things to do and see in this trip.
I can't really think of anything to say that I didn't like.

Owner was extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. She truly cared about making our stay enjoyable and hassle free. Because being dog friendly was important to us, we were very happy that the grounds and rooms were set up to support our two pets.
The accommodations were perfect for what we were looking to find. We did not need a lot of amenities as we were in the area to hike and experience nature. This hotel was perfect for that purpose. Would have liked there to be a workout room or pool, but not sure we would have used them anyway.
