I stayed on floor 3 with balcony. On a Sunday night just before summer tourist season, the price was almost reasonable. The room was clean and comfortable, and was quiet. I came to hood River by bus, after hiking Dog mountain from the seasonal shuttle. Without a car, and maybe a worse from wear, I was pleased that check-in was nice to me. The outdoor heated pool and hot tub with a view or the river helped my recovery from the windy and very steep hike.

My river view room was partially blocked by trees (301) but the pine tree was lovely, so please keep it. I tend to be stingy with my stars, but this came close to a 5 star experience. I'm glad I came in late April before Hood River gets too busy.

We were on a summer road trip through Pacific NW and wanted a clean comfortable and well air conditioned room. This hotel is the highest level option available along the Oregon/Washington Columbia River Gorge. We reserved an Executive King w/ River Views,Balcony, Adult Only,No Pets. The room was spacious and quiet with a great view of river.

It’s not cheap, and it is often booked with conferences and special occasions (weddings, etc.). The check-in area is located in a center building where restaurant is with only exterior access to the East and West buildings where rooms are located.

Liked how quiet the hotel was.

When I booked. I had accidentally requested a pet friendly room. We don’t have a pet. I called the hotel directly and talked to “ Misty” she said she had changed the room to my request of third floor and River view. When we arrived the man checking us in put us on second floor view of the parking. When I told him we were to be third floor River view. He said couldn’t change it because we went through a third party booking. I told him I had actually called the hotel directly to change to third floor with river view. He asked who I talked to. I hadn’t brought my paperwork which would have shown “Misty “ so he wouldn’t change our room. That was disappointing! But we’re happy the rooms were quiet.

The view of the river was fantastic. The room was very clean.

The bed frame creaked and cracked with every small movement. We couldn't sleep well. We could hear all conversation in the next room. The room under us had barking dogs, the front desk said they would try to locate the dog owners, but barking went on for an hour and a half one day, then more barking the nest day. Small issue, the tub wouldn't drain well during our showers.

The Hotel is located in a beautiful place right by the riverside. They have amazing and friendly staff at the hotel and riverside restaurant. Our first wow was that they have smart TVs that you can cast to and they are connected to wifi with most apps like Netflix and wifi available. The rooms are a good size and come with a decent-sized fridge with a freezer and a microwave. You don't see that a lot with hotels anymore. In most cases, you have to request a microwave or they are not available. The location is perfect and close to everything especially for us since we were here for Kiteboarding. Beautiful views of the river and bridge from the restaurant. Loved that there was ample parking.

It would have been nice If they had an indoor pool. During our visit, the air quality was poor and very smokey due to fires up north. It wasn't good to be outside, especially with a baby. So we didn't get to enjoy the facilities the 3 days we stayed since the pool and other hot tub were outdoors. The hotel room price is also on the higher side. But overall and good experience.

The location was nice and the beds were comfortable, the views from the hotel (not our room) were beautiful

On check in we were made aware that since we booked via third.party (booking.com) we were not getting food vouchers. This was said in a very unpleasant tone and made us feel unwelcome. We were clearly second class citizens to them. As we walked into our room, we noticed a wet dirty towel in the sink! I immediately called front desk to report it and was told someone will come to get it. No apologies, nothing! Like this was completely normal. A young men showed up, took the nasty towel and left. He didn't apologize or clean the sink! Later, as I was going to take a shower, I found another nasty towel in the bathtub.... I didn't even bother calling. On top of this our AC wasn't working the first night. Again, complained and got no apologies.... Very unpleasant experience.

The room is comfortable and spacious, and the view is stunning. We change quarters in the front desk for laundry, and the staff (a young lady) who always smiles and warm welcoming is so nice to us. THANK you for being so nice to us TWICE, It's been a unforgettable and good memory and we would like to come back here in the future. Actually we're from Taiwan, although it's a long flight, we are willing to do it again.

Room was very clean and accommodating. I was traveling but had to stop due to severe weather and freeway closure. Staff had rooms available and gave me immediate access at 12:30 when checkin is normally 4pm. I really appreciated it.

I had a hard time adjusting the temperature of the room. Setting it as low as 65 and was still too hot.

Our room had a wonderful view of the River and the bridge going over to Washington state. There was a beautiful, paved walking trail on the river side of the property. They also had outdoor dining overlooking the river. We didn't take advantage of that unfortunately, but it looked very relaxing. I will definitely plan to do that if I have the opportunity to return to Oregon in the future. The day we arrived at the hotel we took the Historic Columbia River Highway just outside of Portland to Hood River which thrilled us all. We loved all the waterfalls on this drive. We didn't realize how many there were on this drive beside Multnomah Falls. They were very close to the road and didn't take a lot of effort to get good views. Since we were short on time, we didn't get to do more hiking, but there seemed to be a lot of good trails. For additional information about the area, we crossed over into Washington state on the bridge near the hotel. We drove a short way to White Salmon, Washington. There we had a wonderful view of Mount Hood. When we departed from the hotel, we took route 35 toward Mount Hood and the Timberline Lodge to eat lunch and see the historic lodge. We enjoyed stopping at a couple of fruit stands on the "Fruit Loop" along the way which we thoroughly enjoyed.

I don't remember anything I didn't like about it.

Large, spacious, quiet room with a small table and two chairs. View of the parking lot was buffered by tall trees, which made it more pleasant. Lovely walking path around the hotel and marina. The heated outdoor pool looked wonderful, but rain prevented us from using it.

Room cleaning is only provided upon request; extra coffee and towels should be provided for longer stays to avoid having to call or track down staff each day.
