Classic but very nice transit hotel on our way to Canada. We enjoyed our stay, the room and bathroom were clean, breakfast was decent (simple, but more than enough for us). The room was simple, 2 queen beds and some chairs with a TV and fridge (we didn't use them). Our room was in the corner near the (I think) kitchen with a noisy exhaust fan, but once we entered the room, we heard nothing. The AC was old but more than enough. Would definitely stop there again next time we are around the area.

The staff could smile more. But all in all, they were fine and did the minimum (which was basically what I needed). AC was a little noisy, but not a problem for us, as I mentioned above, worked well.

The motel was quaint and located perfectly near our relatives..

The room/ linens had a perfume smell. I have a sensitivity to smells/odors/dyes/perfumes, so this was hard to get used to while staying in the room. The free breakfast consisted of boxed cereal, a wrapped Danish from a grocery store, school lunch milk, orange juice in a plastic container like you get from a hospital, coffee, white bread, and your choice of jelly, cream cheese, or peanut butter. We declined breakfast.

No breakfast served. Only coffee and danish. Dinner was terrific, very good!! Staff was very good also.

Temperature in our room was hot! Outdoor temp in the 50s and in our room 70s. Heat was not on, had to use air conditioner all night which was noisy. Owner (?) who checked on it could not find out why our room was so warm. Bathroom had no heater inside but it was like a sauna. Heat seemed to be coming up through shower drain. No heat in the heat ducts either.

Loved absolutely everything; except the bed. The room was clean and quiet! AC worked well and was on upon our arrival. The restaurant, on-site, was excellent and Rich our waiter was awesome. The staff were all pleasant and very helpful.

The bed was the only thing we disliked about the property. It was like sleeping on a piece of thin wood that was on top of springs. While on a multi-day motorcycle road trip sleep is important.

Loved the owner/operator, super helpful, super friendly, above and beyond any question/task. Knows everyone in the area, and willing to help with unrelated questions to the Inn. Called friends when we questioned. We purchased a chain saw eagle, so beautiful from Appalachian wood carvers, because of his contacts. We were here for a family reunion, no other venues available, but happy with this alternative, for sure.. Also found out (wood carvers) they knew my husbands family from 50 years ago (went to school together). Lovely people, hard workers. Such an AWESOME area, even though I am not a relative ( only by marriage) of this community. You will find a SUPER friendly people that I would be honored to live amongst.

Maybe, an update to rooms ( not necessarilyfor me, revenue), but then why pay more. I'm diabetic , so maybe less carbs for breakfast.....add some eggs.😉

Everything was very easy. Easy to find, easy to communicate, easy to get keys, even when we arrived very late, easy to check-out.

I didn’t find a hair fan in a room. Maybe they had it, but not in my room.

The staff was very nice, even though the place is older with history, it was clean.

I like alot of pillows so I could have used more firmer king size pillows for having a king size bed.

It was fine…the coffee especially was great

It was as advertised, and so there was nothing that could have been better

The place is a classic. The lobby and the bar were spectacular works of art . Nice break from the cookie cutter hotels. Highly recommended

The gentleman behind the counter who greeted me was very friendly and helpful. He was able to quickly accommodate me with little explanation. Also, with his precise instructions I was able to easily locate my room.
