Everyone was pleasant and very nice. Very clean. My problem was with Radisson itself. When I was about to go to bed I decided to check my checking account. It showed the hotel over charged me by $50. I didn't know if someone stole that money or what! I was up most of the night worrying. First thing in the morning we went to the front desk. She told me they hold that in case we wreck the room. We should have been told that at check in..even on the website before we booked our room. I was really looking forward to staying in that beautiful hotel. That put a damper on my trip. As far as the hotel itself I have absolutely no complaints. Its gorgeous and everybody working there could not have been nicer. The food at their restaurant was really good too. We would definitely stay there again because of all that but because of the holding back of money I'd have to think about it before I stay there again
Not telling us they were taking $50 extra from my account when we checked in...

For me it is a 'complete package' of a stay... location is perfect for us as parents of students at the U. The room we have selected over & over has been spacious, clean, and full of cozy charm - corner room with the whirlpool tub. The service is always courteous, willing, and efficient. We also enjoy Trax very much, and all of the servers we have experienced have been courteous, prompt, and attentive - we were served by Ilena. Food is great - we had the hummus platter. Carmen's is top notch. We have enjoyed breakfast here each stay, and the service and food are outstanding. Parking is a huge plus, too. And the cherry on top is the incomparable preservation of history and artifacts. It is noteworthy and remarkable. all throughout the place. The chandeliers, the signage, the marble, the stained glass, the historical plaques and notes. So charming. This adds a lot more to the charm than you may believe, and it is truly an endearing aspect of staying here. Altogether, you provide us a the 'complete package' and that is so valuable to us, and it is so rare and unique in general! I cannot recall, in all of travels, a comparable establishment. Please maintain and preserve all that you do there!

Our family group, consisting of three families, decided that this hotel was our favorite on a two week trip. The architecture was so unique compared to the typical roadside cookie cutter hotels. Especially nice are the tile scenes on the walls of the atrium depicting some of the sights to see in the route of the original Lackawanna Railroad.
While the original building is magnificent, it is evident that when the actual sleeping rooms were created during the retrofit, the quality of construction does not match the original. But the rooms are still functional.

We came to Scranton, from Jersey, to attend our Aunt's funeral. We decided to stay last minute to avoid driving so late, and I'm glad we did. Staying at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel, brought happiness and enjoyment to an otherwise sad and somber trip. The atmosphere was amazing. We stayed on the 2nd floor, which is original to the old train station. The staff was extremely welcoming and courteous, and breakfast was wonderful. We will definitely be coming back.

The preservation of this historical railroad station is like stepping back in time. The lobby and atrium are luxurious in a way that is simply not done anymore, and the framed articles and information about the building's past made staying like staying in a decadent museum. My favorite extra discovery was the old vault that has been turned into a cloak room!
This property exceeded my every expectation. I have zero complaints!

The building is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Very peaceful and quiet. We even had a big tote on the back of truck with very expensive things inside, we were worried because we had to park out by the road, but nothing was touched. We loved the whole experience. Room service for breakfast was wonderful and delicious food. I just wish this location was closer to Florida because I would book stays with friends just for weekend getaways. I absolutely urge everyone to stay here. What a place.
Everything honestly.the restaurants are beautiful, the food is top notch, and the service was wonderful. If traveling through again this is definitely a land mark for us now.

Very clean, very comfortable, overall very quiet rooms. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.
Booking.com doesn’t apparently speak to the hotel so they overbooked and didn’t have a room for me, the check in clerk had to rearrange rooms in order for me to not have to share a single bed with my father since I booked a room with 2 queens

Beautiful, clean location in historic building. The dinner at TRAX was exceptional, delicious, good size portions. Worth the price. Breakfast in Carmen’s was also extremely good, delicious, again worth the price. I told my family I wished this restaurant was near my home because I would eat there every day!! Friendly staff from front desk to other hotel staff. Overall very nice stay.

Did not get the breakfast. Heck 2 pots of coffee was $26. Food and beverage for Scranton was high priced We got takeout
A microwave should have been accessible. Larger in room beverage servings. Also, the University students were out on the soccer field until midnight. They were loud. Maybe the field can be relocated.

Location and design of building
Our room faced the athletic field and the lights kept coming through because the curtains would not close all the way. Had to call maintenance to bring some clips up to hold the curtains together so light wouldn’t come in.
