I enjoyed the experience at the spectator hotel. i went with my husband and kids and the staff noticed my kids and gave them a coloring book and colored pencils. We also had a small bag left on our door by our butler Jerry with the same thing and a hand written note that said “for the little ones”. Our butler also wrote down restaurant recommendations after telling him the type of food we enjoyed. I could keep going, but this hotel was a nice different experience!

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The location was fantastic. Decor and design awesome. All staff (from cleaning to butler to valet driver) were exceptional. Rooms and mini fridge offerings were such a welcomed treat. Turn down service and evening hotel ambiance was swoon worthy. This was the perfect upleveled home away from home experience in such a vibrant city. We can't wait to return and share our recommendation of this hotel with our traveling friends and family. Bravo Spectator!!
Nothing! Exceeded my expectation in all regards!

I have made a suggestion which I have listed below. Other than that one suggestion, our visit was very special and perfect in every way. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay from the moment we first arrived. thank you. I have already recommended your hotel to a family member who visits Charleston regularly.
There were two pillows on the bed both were the same loft. I wish one of the pillows was a little less lofty. .

The Concierge Lane was amazing helping me organising our stay. The room was really timeless and confortable conceived, the minibar is inclusive. The location is great, just right close to the market in the center. The breakfast is served in the room and even though you don’t have too many options, the things served have great quality and the team answered to our change requests . Overall we loved our stay and we definitely stay again next time at the Spectator
We didn’t find a use for the butler. For sure could be something nice but if you just stay for a night, I guess you just don’t need it. The breakfast system is not out favorite, since we love to have a big variety. In this Hotel there are just few options but we ask for some changes and they were all attended. So we were satisfied. We still think it’s a little bit pricey, but the overall the experience was great.

The butler service is amazing. Will was very knowledgable about all the things you need to know about Charleston and what to do, where to eat etc. Darryl made our mornings brighter with his good spirit and joy he brings with the breakfast. We also loved the beach package for our trip to the beach. A personal highlight was how they helped celebrating my birthday - truly extraordinary.

The location and overall experience was the best of our last three stays in comparison to 20 Battery, John Rutledge Inn. The butler experience was interesting but for my preference less time in the room is better. Well done and great personality. The room was great and the complimentary beverages and snacks were an excellent touch and very good. Love the in room coffee as well. Valet parking a big plus for u as well.

The location is fantastic. Highly rated bar in the hotel. The staff were on point through the whole stay. The butler services and free breakfast every day comes with the stay as well.
The workout room is in the sister hotel (the Loutrel) next door. The hotel menu for in-room dining is limited to bar bites which were largely carbs/bread options. I don't think there was anything substantive in terms of a meal.

Where should I begin. We had a lovely stay at the spectator hotel. The service was unique and one of the best I ever experienced. A special thanks to the butlers Chuck and David who did everything to make the best of our Charleston experience. They recommended a very good restaurants and do everything to make their guest happy. I would even say the hotel was better than in some 5 star hotels. We had a wonderful room and the breakfast was delicious. You can decide between many options for your breakfast and they bring it up to your room at the time you prefer. The location of the hotel is perfect and you have a lot options to discover Charleston by foot. I would definitely come back when visiting Charleston.

The Spectator is a beautiful, clean and very centrally located hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful -always available to answer questions or provide suggestions with kind hospitality. Our room was comfortable and spacious - the complimentary local snacks were a welcome treat and the bath products helped us feel pampered! Overall the perfect spot to return to after a few days exploring charming Charleston!

This property is fabulous! Checked in and the first thing they did was offer me a cocktail. The “butler” took me to my room and gave the lowdown on the hotel, surounding area, and all things to do. The room was larger than expected with a true king bed, espresso maker, sitting area and large bathroom. There is a fridge stocked with water, soda and ice coffee. There was also a snack basket. No charge on these items. each morning I had the opportunity to have breakfast in my room or in the lobby. I chose my room. Eggs and bacon one day and bagel with lox the other. Hands down, the bagel and lox was better than the eggs, which are hard to keep from drying out. Staff was friendly and attentive. Bar area with lounge was comfortable. Drink prices were a bit high but John gave a good pour.
