I enjoyed the experience at the spectator hotel. i went with my husband and kids and the staff noticed my kids and gave them a coloring book and colored pencils. We also had a small bag left on our door by our butler Jerry with the same thing and a hand written note that said “for the little ones”. Our butler also wrote down restaurant recommendations after telling him the type of food we enjoyed. I could keep going, but this hotel was a nice different experience!

The Concierge Lane was amazing helping me organising our stay. The room was really timeless and confortable conceived, the minibar is inclusive. The location is great, just right close to the market in the center. The breakfast is served in the room and even though you don’t have too many options, the things served have great quality and the team answered to our change requests . Overall we loved our stay and we definitely stay again next time at the Spectator

We didn’t find a use for the butler. For sure could be something nice but if you just stay for a night, I guess you just don’t need it. The breakfast system is not out favorite, since we love to have a big variety. In this Hotel there are just few options but we ask for some changes and they were all attended. So we were satisfied. We still think it’s a little bit pricey, but the overall the experience was great.

Where should I begin. We had a lovely stay at the spectator hotel. The service was unique and one of the best I ever experienced. A special thanks to the butlers Chuck and David who did everything to make the best of our Charleston experience. They recommended a very good restaurants and do everything to make their guest happy. I would even say the hotel was better than in some 5 star hotels. We had a wonderful room and the breakfast was delicious. You can decide between many options for your breakfast and they bring it up to your room at the time you prefer. The location of the hotel is perfect and you have a lot options to discover Charleston by foot. I would definitely come back when visiting Charleston.

This property is fabulous! Checked in and the first thing they did was offer me a cocktail. The “butler” took me to my room and gave the lowdown on the hotel, surounding area, and all things to do. The room was larger than expected with a true king bed, espresso maker, sitting area and large bathroom. There is a fridge stocked with water, soda and ice coffee. There was also a snack basket. No charge on these items. each morning I had the opportunity to have breakfast in my room or in the lobby. I chose my room. Eggs and bacon one day and bagel with lox the other. Hands down, the bagel and lox was better than the eggs, which are hard to keep from drying out. Staff was friendly and attentive. Bar area with lounge was comfortable. Drink prices were a bit high but John gave a good pour.

This was a girls’ weekend splurge and it was totally worth it!! Super quiet and comfy location, butler services and breakfast delivery were all highlights. The room is stocked with local treats, which was a nice touch as were the drinks in the fridge. The hotel bar was also a great place to hang out after a long day of exploring and the welcome cocktail was one of the tastiest drinks we had on the whole trip. Location is so great too. Just walk outside and there are good place to explore in any direction.

I have to stretch to think of something. Two tiny things - would be great if there was a smart TV so Netflix or other apps could be accessed. Second, even though the room has blackout curtains, a TON of light comes in from under the door, but a sleep mask fixes all that and the noise machine is also great to have.

The Butler David was the BOMB! I had no idea when I made the reservation that we would be staying at the nicest place ever. The staff was so friendly...all of them. The bar is lovely. Food we had was great. Highly recommend to anyone. There is no "restaurant" on site, but you walk out the door and you have plenty of options to choose from. Definitely not a deal breaker for us. Loved the wrap-around balcony too.

It was quaint and very 1920s style “homelike”. Beautiful design and not huge and overwhelming. The rooms and bathrooms are very nice and well cared for, plenty of space. Large shower was especially nice. They have a butler service and in-house breakfast served in your room if you’d like. Turn down service with a chocolate and a small evening cocktail specialty of the bar tender.

No pool and no on floor ice machine.

Location was incredible, right next to the markets, near to King St, lots of restaurants right outside & within the historic and interesting French Quarter. The staff were incredible friendly & helpful and couldn’t do enough for us the whole stay.

No restaurant for breakfast so had breakfast in room or on small tables in the lounge, but this all didn’t detract from the stay as this has a boutique hotel feel to it.

Lane at the front desk was fantastic. James was a pro at helping us with our car and luggage. The best hotel experience in our lives.

Breakfast was free and good, but with the quality of the food we ate in Charleston the bar could have been a little higher. That is a little petty. It was good but it was not exceptional like the service and food at the restaurant at which we ate.
