The room was excellent. The surroundings and functions at the hotel were excellent. Room service for three breakfasts was fantastic.

We had problems leaving the hotel. Two calls to the front desk on Sunday morning 12/8/24 requesting baggage assistance and our vehicle did not go well. We waited for nearly an hour until I went to obtain a baggage cart myself at which time I finally received assistance. We also requested a copy of our bill and as of today, 12/9/24 I still have not received the bill.

Loved the location. It was close to shopping and all kinds of cute restaurants. The hotel itself was beautiful. ALL of the staff were the most helpful and friendliest!

The hotel was under renovations when we stayed so the pool and spay weren't available. Before booking I knew that was going to be the case but what I didn't like is that our room was right next to the renovations and they started working and making noise between 8 and 9 am every morning. I paid for club level. All the noise was just a negative experience.

Club level room very comfortable and clean well appointed- had access to food and drinks basically all day - delicious food- friendly staff, the best staycation spot for locals! Valet, Bell Staff, front desk, hostess and waitress at Thoroughbreds were great, club level staff incredible! Would have used Spa- no appts available this time- will try again!

We were going to have lunch at The Palmetto Cafe- but the host told us it would be a 20 min wait when we said we would wait he then directed us to Thoroughbreds which was fine but several things he aid to us were just not what I expected to hear from a host - like we are going to be setting up for a private event etc etc -the restaurant was still open serving- not sure what the issue was - but it was fine we enjoyed our lunch at Thoroughbreds

Only grabbed coffee and pastries at the coffee shop but they were good.

Arrived after 1am (situation on flight) and we were exhausted. I had requested two double beds and a cot months prior. The request said it would be fulfilled. After checking in, our key cards didn’t work. I had to go back down to the front desk. Once that was solved, I got back to the room only to find one bed. Now had to call the front desk, as three of us couldn’t and wouldn’t fit in one bed. Front desk takes us to the next room. This one has two but not three. They did bring us a cot that night. It was just frustrating and exhausting. They did not offer anything for the inconvenience. For a hotel of this caliber, I’d expect more.

The concierge (Margo?) was terrific, she set us up for a wonderful dinner, incuding our dog. and close by after a late-ish arrival. All of the staff were professional. helpful and upbeat.

"Parking on site" is not accurate. parking garage is not connected, either physically or operationally, to the hotel. We were were charged double the posted parking rate as 'per day' rather than an overnight parking arrangement.

The hotel has very friendly & helpful staff in all departments, the concierge was very knowledgeable of Charleston. The lobby had a gorgeous chandelier & each of the wings were decorated so nicely with gorgeous topiary & colors of blue. The rooms were very clean with great cleaning & room service. There were so many places to sit to enjoy your coffee or a cocktail during the morning, afternoon & night. The gardens were so pretty & comfortable to sit or walk through. Walking distance to King St, so many shops & restaurants! The hotel does provide transportation services ( for a fee) with very friendly & safe drivers to take you to the airport, Shems Creek, the beaches or anywhere you need. There are a number of places to eat on premises, the food was very good at all of them. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!!

The tub was very high, not very easy for a short person to get in & out. The coffee shop was very good with delicious coffee but there was limited food menu & it did not change daily.

The hotel, rooms, and overall staff/facilities were awesome. The staff was super accommodating and every polite. They were helpful with touring as well.

I found the "breakfast included" part a bit foggy, in that you received $120 for a family of 4 for breakfast and had to eat at the cafe in the hotel. With this being said, the prices were so high that we always went over the amount, so we had added costs. The gratuity is also not include. In my opinion, I don't call this a "breakfast included" item, because you pay more based on the prices in the cafe. I was also never informed that it was $30 per person as an allotted amount. This was disappointing.

We loved the location because we could walk everywhere. Staff could not have been nicer. The lobby was beautiful with multiple seating areas to relax and enjoy a book, drink, or the lovely piano music. The spa and pool area looked wonderful, although we didn’t use it (not enough time on a short trip).

The rooftop lounge was under construction so we had to go elsewhere to enjoy a drink with a view. The pool was covered, not open air.

From the second we arrived, we were personally greeted, escorted to check in, and provided exceptional treatment throughout. The room was very nice, and the robe, slippers, and umbrella were nice touches. The easy access to the pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room (men's), and fitness center were particularly nice. Our massage with the team at the spa was exceptional - book early! The Christmas decorations and general activity in the lobby were fun and energizing.

Not much...

The location was FABULOUS! But more importantly everything on the property exceeded our expectations...! Every employee went above and beyond with kindness. The many areas to sit and hang out and relax.. the courtyard with the pop up coffee/bar! Lobby bar... the decorations in the lobby... all the flowers!

The only reason I didn't put that our room was quiet... 99% of the time we didn't hear a thing and we slept fabulously! However, we were in room 494, and I think it might be connected to where employees either come and go or get their materials for the day, and this is not a knock on the staff... but it just almost felt like they were in our room. We could hear them just saying hello or going over their checklists for the day (so it could just be through the vents)...!
