The front office and breakfast area were very homey, like walking into a family members house. Certainly a good selection of breakfast pastries and coffee and juices. The new managers are very kind, we went close to Christmas and during breakfast management gave the kids that came in gifts for them to unwrap! I've never stayed at a place where a hotel has even attempted to offer that. They have reasonable 6 they are pet friendly!

This location is from what I heard new management, I'm hoping they can update the rooms. The bathrooms are very, very, very small. It's almost as if they had a bathtub in a closet and added a toilet. You can almost touch the door with your knees when sitting on the toilet. Some of the repairs that have been done were cutting corners and done really quick. They have a vending area that only consists of an ice machine and a soda machine. They should add a snack machine, in my opinion.

We personally loved the location of the property. It’s not far at all from downtown. The rooms get so cold which we love for this Texas heat. The bath towels were extremely soft! That was the best part for me this entire trip. Overall we like our stay here. The pool opened the weekend we arrived.

the second room the toilet seat would just slide off. The lighting isn’t bright in the rooms but we just removed the lamp shade (we put them back on) But that was just a minor issue. Besides that the rooms were clean. Mattresses are showing some age and we felt a little uncomfortable but after lots of pillows problem solved. Also breakfast is only available on weekends.

I enjoyed how easy and quick it was to access the property from Main St. The property had everything we needed and check in was quick and painless. I enjoyed that it was a quieter property as well. They had a clean pool. The air conditioning was amazing. The room was great and anything we needed, the staff was very accommodating. I want to specifically mention the staff, I really commend their service and hospitality with the extra needs we have. The staff were a 10/10. This was a great deal for the location and proximity to all the fun things to do in Fredricksberg.

I do not have any complaint about the property. It was perfect for our overnight trip.

When I booked the room online, I did not realize it was upstairs. I am disabled and it would have been extremely tough for me to do the stairs. The person on duty called the manager to see if they could upgrade me to another room free of charge on ground floor. Thankfully, the manager allowed it!

The free breakfast buffet was upstairs in their lobby. Again, I cannot do stairs so I could not eat breakfast there.

When we go to towns we like the town’s experience not big box places, they are not as expensive, don’t care if your comfortable are even make you feel comfortable or happy. This is where we will stay every year, we always go in December.

Not being able to stay longer we had to go home early

Breakfast was good. Pool was nice with lounge chairs, surrounded by small garden. Parking was convenient right in front of the room. Room was clean, had table, chairs and refrigerator, microwave.

Bathroom was very small and needed a revamping. Not enough towel racks for a 3-person room. Housekeeping cleaned, changed towels and soap but didn't make beds (odd). One day breakfast was not included (odd).

Look we can all agree that Fredericksburg is a bit of a tourist trap. But knowing that you dont have to pay 250$ a night for a room makes Windcrest a diamond in the rough. For us regularly folks who aren’t trying to spend a car note worth of $ for a hotel room. Thanks

This visit was a last min decision so I arrived after business hours. Keys were left with my name on them in an envelope in a box by the business center. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. When I called, the staff was very kind and helpful.

The location of the TV made no sense. It was not in the living room area and was not in the bedroom area but right in the middle. It lined up directly with the divider wall. I arrived very late so I was hoping for a later check in/out schedule but the times were normal check in by 3pm out by 11am

Very clean room. Comfortable bed. 4 pillows would have been better than 3. Parking in front of our room. Nice quiet location near downtown. Staff was very nice and the check in and out process was fast. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our room. It was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The surroundings were quiet

The bathroom was a bit too small. It was difficult to close the door when using the toilet. Our door lock was faulty and we kept being locked out of our room.
