The guy at the front desk, Mauricio, was amazing! He was so nice when we came in and made sure to get us our room right away. He let us know where everything was and was very upfront on the deposit, charges, and made me feel comfortable about staying there. I was at a different hotel for my three nights in San Antonio, and it was not good at all! I wish I would’ve came to this hotel. Online it said only a king bed room was available. But as soon as we got there, he saw I had my little brother and mom with me and offered a room with two Queen beds, no charge. He was so considerate. He said if we needed anything to let him know and he kept his word on that the whole night we were there. I made sure to confirm his name with him so I could leave a review. I signed up for rewards because my boyfriend had his airforce graduation there and I knew I’d be traveling back so I wanted to make sure I went there next time. And if Candlewood is in other states, it will be my first choice. Last thing, I am 18 and I forgot to check if I had to be 21 to check in at this hotel, so when I first got there, I was nervous they weren’t going to let us stay even though I tried to change it into my moms name. Mauricio ended up helping us out a ton and make sure to get us into our room and settled as quickly as he could. He ended up making it okay for it to be in my name and didn’t take more than 5 minutes.

I cannot say anything was bad at all. I’m young so the prices were a little high for me. But I can proudly say it was an amazing stay. And i know that if I was older and when I am older, tje price won’t seem so bad. Except, a $20 cash deposit? That was amazing, I am so glad because I was already down money from the past hotel, so thank you!

Extremely well maintained hotel. Amenities were great. Staff was great. We were attending the graduation of our granddaughter from Air Force Basic Training and it was very, very convenient to the the base.

The ONLY comment I have is that the front desk is often not manned and you need a bigger sign for the hotel on the US 90 Highway.

The staff was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and helpful when I needed to change something on our reservation. They keep the property very clean and sanitized.

My dislike had nothing to do with the property. It had to do with priceline/booking.com.. The room on the site said one thing but when we got there it wasn't big enough to accommodate our family. When I tried to call to fix it the people I spoke with acted like they couldn't fix the problem. I probably won't be using 3rd party reservations in the near future, due to the fact if something needing to possibly be changed. It's too much of a headache to get help fixing the problem.

VERY CLEAN! me & my husband was very impressed with this hotel we travel alot and this was the cleanest hotel we’ve ever been. the whole room not a single complaint, hallway and rooms even smell so good! cleaning staff does a wonderful job! #1 thing for us is the cleanliness of our room and this is a 10. we got a queen suite and it was perfect with our little family, small kitchenette has everything you need wish we would’ve stayed more days as it was very accommodating. they have so many small amenities you don’t have to worry about when traveling shampoo, body wash, conditioner, body lotion, makeup remover, hair dryer etc! plenty of towels everything was overall a great hotel experience. Small kitchenette glasses, microwave was spotless! check in was very easy and quick!

The staff was great! The hotel itself was great! I stayed there because I heard that is was a good place. I was not disappointed. It was super close to Lackland AFB. That was a big seller for me. The room had a refrigerator/freezer, sink, dishwasher and a small oven range. It came with dishes to use, a toaster, pots, silverware. The coffee in the snack room is free and very good! I highly recommend staying here.

My daughter was really looking forward to swim. Unfortunately the pool was closed for construction. And there was no breakfast provided.

Everything in the hotel and room was vary clean. Every single staff member was friendly and helpful. Every staff member from the front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance said hello and asked how our day was going. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The rooms were well-equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, a two burner stove, microwave, and dishwasher. They also had an iron and hair dryer.

There was some road noise when sleeping. The shower pressure could be improved. The signage by the front and back entrances should be bigger and placed higher up.

Super clean, bed and sheets were comfy, kitchen area had all necessities and more including measuring cup, coffee maker, toaster, plates, cups, pots, pans, dish soap, paper towels, etc. Customer service was amazing from front desk and housekeeping staff. Bathroom was spacious and clean. They even have an area downstairs to buy snacks and instant meals. Would definitely recommend and book again whenever I am in the area!

It was very clean, comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They were super accommodating. Candlewood will definitely be my go to stay when I need to stay in a hotel.

I wanted the cleaning staff to replace and clean my room a little more often. They only came once in 2 weeks.

The location was excellent for access to Lackland AF Base No breakfast was provided but there were breakfast selections (cereal, yogurt, pasteries available for purchase in the hotel

Would be nice to have a breakfast available rather than having to purchase individual items from hotel It makes it so much easier for families.

Perfect location for Lackland graduation. Clean hallways and outside patio. Room is spacious and beds are really nice to sleep in. There is an indoor pool. Staff is friendly. Got to see lots of planes and some wildlife.

Only one thing,pool not heated. My 2yr old granddaughter loves water. We gave it a try and her teeth were chattering. She still didn’t want to leave and got upset with me lol.
