we absolutely loved the room, location, breakfast, staff parking, we loved how close it was to the places we needed to be at.

when we first arrived we were assigned a room that someone was already checked into. we used our key and the door opened as we were about to walk in we seen food and shoes, we immediately walked away.

it was honestly great. Sonesta is a 3 star property, and could be described as “perfectly fine”. The staff is lovely. I’ve stayed at high end hotels that didn’t have some of the amenities that Sonesta did. We were able to log into our Netflix account, which is awesome. On the flip side, it was me and my 16 year old son in a queen/pull out sofa suite and the tv can’t face both people at the same time. there’s nowhere else to comfortably sit on either side of the room when a sleeping surface is in use so it was a little uncomfortable if it was tv and bed time. There is no countertop in the bathroom which proved to be challenging. that could be because of the dynamics of a mom and son in the room and likely wouldn’t be an issue for a couple or small kiddos. the valet was awesome; quick and friendly. breakfast was delish and varied. we stayed Sunday through Thursday and upon checkin we’re told there wouldn’t be housekeeping during our stay, which I do not understand at all. overall, We really enjoyed the stay and would go back.

Quite frankly this was probably the best hotel we have stayed at in many a year. On our tour of America this was our thirteenth hotel and by far the best. The room was very spacious and cooking was fine. We had a room on the thirteenth floor overlooking San Antonio and the Alamo - evening sunsets and city lights a delight. The staff were always very friendly and helpful especially the car valet service well worth the money. You would be hard pressed to find better.

Wow. The entire staff was beyond measure! Sweet, courteous and helpful. Great little team. Our room was spacious and clean. Our grandkids came along with us, 7 & 8, and they had the living room to themselves with a pull out sofa w/attached chaise lounge, while my husband and I had the bedroom. Two TV's. The kitchen was clean and well equipped with a full size refrigerator, glass cook top, microwave and dishwasher. Fully stocked with utensils, glasses, plates and cookware. I would definitely recommend the Sonesta ES suites, San Antonio, Tx. Alamo Plaza Be blessed. Remember the Alamo

The pool was really small and only 3 ft deep. The hot tub was maybe a 4 seater. But hey, it was a hot tub! Breakfast was small but it was enough and had all the essentials covered.

Absolutely loved staying here. Everything was fantastic. The front desk staff were amazing and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect. A lot of attractions were just a short walk away. The breakfast was beautiful, with plenty of variety and all the staff were very friendly. Stayed in 2 bed 2 bathroom apartment, very spacious. The beds were very comfortable.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like.

This was the best hotel I've seen in years. Everything and everyone here was really top knotch. From my start at the front desk with Jasmine. She was very professional and made me feel at home. Another front desk clerk that made my day was Brandi. She helped me and was very friendly. The room was very clean and made my stay very comfortable. The workout room was great also. Overall I give you 100 percent.

The cold weather. No fault of the hotel. But there is nothing about my stay that was bad.

We love having a kitchen, and a hot breakfast every morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable as well.

I wasn’t impressed with the cleaning staff. First we are told that the maids will not come in unless requested, which is fine. Then we come back one day to find the bed made and fresh towels, but there was what looked like ash in the toilet bowl, so it could not have been cleaned. And we found an empty water bottle on one of the ledges of the window when we arrived., That shows a lack of thorough cleaning before we arrived. Also, the drawers in the dresser didn’t work properly and were in danger of falling out when you opened them.

Good location, easy to find off the highway, close to downtown attractions (easy walking distance to most major attractions & activities). Good neighborhood, even at night. Hotel staff were attentive and friendly. Room was clean. Breakfast was good.

The cost of parking gets quite expensive (fees, taxes, etc). No need for a car to see most major / popular city attractions. Walking, e-bikes, & hop on hop off buses get you to most places, except the suburbs or outer city attractions. If you have a rental car, its probably cheaper to turn it in for the few days you're here, then just re-rent it again when you leave.

The staff was absolutely beyond the normal call of customer service. They were loving, kind, and sensitive to the point they pass it on to each other to make sure we had what we needed and what I requested, including the kitchen staff. Monica, Maria, Myrna and Sherry. Monica, my initial contact pass it on. We experienced a devastating lost of my 17 year old grandson committed suicide March 1, 2022 and which I'll never ever be able to tell him how special he was. Now for the first time ever being able to take my 11-year-old granddaughter on a trip with just the two of us I wanted her to know how special she was therefore I talked to the Monica and she coordinated with everyone to have balloons and fresh break cookies in the room prior to arrival. She honored my request for the top floor. My granddaughter and I for just two days we're so happy to spend that time together. Thank You... It was pricey for two nights but it was worth it for a lifetime memory ♥️

Hotel location was perfect for my birthday weekend. It was close the venue. And very close to the river walk. The staff especially the the parking attendances were awesome. Breakfast was fine. I'm a vegan so it wasn't much to choose from. But the fruit was good. I loved that the oatmeal was prepared with water instead of milk.

Not enough vegan options for breakfast. Please consider getting planet based milks and eggs.
