Cleaning staff were excellent. Had to go to 2nd floor for ice and washer/ dryer- but both worked very well. Whirlpool is part of swimming pool and was very warm. Small though. Front office very cooperative. You do have to give them $100 cash which they hold until you check out. $20 a day per pet. You have to bring your own poop bags. We had a king w kitchenette which worked very well for the week since we had cabinets to put essentials in. Sofa sleeper which we just used as a couch. TV on the small side, but we weren't there to watch TV. Good location- easy walk to the beach. Blackbeards and Donkey restaurants within the block. Breakfast isn't good- just cereal, coffee, and makings for peanut butter/ jelly. There are toasters so you could bring items of your own to toast. We were there for the Indoor Kite festival which occurred over two evenings. Tickets had to be purchased in advance- they sell out pretty quick w the amount of winter Texans. Everything is closed by 9pm pretty much. Very quiet.

Breakfast

The beds are always comfortable! The location is awesome and they are also walking distance from senor donkey (restaurant), which is a must when you visit SPI. The hotel price is also very reasonable. Just an FYI they do require a 100 (cash only) damage deposit when checking in, they will return your money once you check out.

They only had less than half a roll of toilet paper once we had checked in, so we had to go ask the front office to give us 2 rolls since we were staying for 4 days but they only gave us 1. So that was an inconvenience asking for toilet paper once we were out.

Good location, nice large room, quiet, simple breakfast available till 10am (not ending crazy early like many other hotels).

They require cash deposit but refuse to provide the receipt. That's totally not acceptable as they ask different amount from different guests. No problem getting it back but receipt is a MUST for any cash payment!

The price was good. Manager Sophia was able to accommodate my needs due to the fact that I'm a disabled veteran. Instead of upstairs rooms, she was able to give me a downstairs. The most important thing was that the hotel was pet friendly. With two large dogs, it worked out great. When I come back to South Padre Island, we will stay here again at South Padre Island Inn.

These, to me, are minor, but TV had no signal. They were able to replace the TV quickly. Remote batteries were weak. One lamp had a short where you could tell it was a splice before. One morning, the toilet didn't have water due to not enough water pressure. Other than that, it was a good stay.

The swimming pools were clean, and water had a hot tub inside. The room has a fridge and a microwave available. Also, we used the iron and ironing board for our dress clothes for the night.

The laundry room only has one washer and one dryer. We like to do a few loads of clothes per stay. So we had to go find a laundry service at night to get our clothes washed.

Great value for the price! Perfect for a weekend getaway. Probably the best propert with the lowest price offered. Room is clean, there is a fridge and tv. Towels were changed and bed was made by staff. The staff is very friendly and we could extend our checkout with no extra charge. The bed matress is a bit too soft for my preference, but my back didn’t hurt and we got good sleep. Our favorite thing was the pool area with the hot tub. It’s free of charge and no one was using it, other than us. We relaxed there every night during our stay!

One of the reason we booked was that breakfast is included. We were a bit disappoibted that it’s only cold breakfast and sweet. basically cereal and toast w BPJ, muffin, no savory stuff. But we bough stuff in the supermarket to compliment what was offered to our liking.

Pool furniture worn, unserviceable. Continental breakfast was a piece of toast and a jar of peanut butter. Stop advertising a free breakfast and save money on your bread and peanut butter.

I actually got the room that I booked and paid for. And although I arrived pretty late I was still greeted by a friendly smile. She made the check in process as quick as possible and was very helpful.

The parking was tight not the easiest to menuver around in the lot. The bathroom wasn't exactly up to par either. Not sure if it was anyone's fault but there were dead bugs on the floor. And the door was definitely not to my liking as it was hard to shut and the second, inside, lock was busted so wouldn't do any good.

I loved how friendly the front desk people were. Very conversational and took care of us well. For the price, the rooms were comfortable and spacious. The fridge and microwave came handy for our 6 day stay. The cleaning ladies also did an amazing job on keeping our bathroom and room tidy. 5 stars all around.

I liked everything about the price. It’s a great value for what it’s worth.

Room was clean and tidy. The air conditioner worked very well so it must be maintained. The property was free of debris which is a plus. Loved the coffee service in the room, refrigerator and microwave..

Nothing that we could think of. Every thing was above board and well maintained. No negatives from us.
