This is a great place to stay in Washington D.C. and was the perfect choice for a combined business and family trip. The 2-bedroom suite with kitchen, living room, 2 bathrooms, and dishwasher/dryer, met all of our different parent and child needs. It was very clean, well-equipped, and the location was a short walk to both sightseeing locations and business meetings. The price was also very reasonable - I would say that it was more cost effective than 2 connecting hotel rooms in the area - and this was helped by the fact that we could buy food in and manage our laundry over a 7-night stay. We went on a 12-minute walk to the nearest Whole Foods for our shopping and ordered takeout from the Panera Bread next door (which has fantastic staff). I really can't say enough to recommend AKA White House. We - 2 adults and 2 12-years olds - agree that we would definitely choose to stay here again.

We have been travelling for 6 weeks and stayed in hotels from Hilton to Fairmont, I have to say the Front Desk Staff in AKA are the best of all. (I'm sorry, i forgot their names as i didn't write my review immediately. One of them is Sergio, which i remember) They are so helpful. When we asked for something in our room, we received help in minutes!! The apartment is spacious and well equipped. What I especially like is the washing machine and dryer in the apartment. They supplied us with laundry detergent, too. The hotel and staff made our time in Washington DC perfect.

It is one block from the Farragut West Metro. The staff is friendly and responsive. They accommodate requests for additional coffee, water, tea bags, etc. I love having a full-size one-bedroom apartment with a washer/Dryer. Adjustable thermostat.

Would like to have had one bag of coffee and a few tea bags in the unit upon arrival vs. having to request it. I believe this used to be the case several years back. The microwave tray was too big for the microwave (once the microwave door was closed, it pushed the turntable tray off so it would not rotate; however, they were quick to fix the issue. All very minor and addressed upon request.

We like to have access to a kitchenette and washing machines/dryers when we travel and this ticked both boxes, kitchenette came fully equipped with a stove, toaster, microwave oven, dishwasher and kitchen utensils. The bedrooms had a walk in wardrobe and ensuite bathrooms/toilets, beds were huge (for us Asians anyways). The living area could comfortably seat 4 and gave good views of H Street. The hotel apartment is well served by the subway (Farragut North and West) and metrobus, the only place that didn't offer direct access from the hotel is the west end of the National Mall, it was more efficient (for us) to get to and from there by walking apart from that the rest of the sights are well connected by the subway and buses. There are lots of eateries and restaurants within a 10 minute walking radius so you're spoiled for choice no matter what your budget is. Our picks would include GCDC, Luke's Lobster, Western Market (food court), The Square (food court) and Carvings. The nearest Trader Joe's is about a 15 minute walk away if you're looking to take advantage of the kitchenette facilities. The hotel has a movie room, bar and gym but we didn't use any of these facilities so can't comment on those. Overall the room was large for what it was and apart from some very minor niggles was absolutely what we wanted for a comfortable 4 night stay in Nov 2024.

Not so much a dislike rather than a niggle, a bidet for the toilet and a separate shower area rather than having to step into a bathtub would be nice. Also, the beds felt a little hard and lumpy but did an adequate job overall.

This Hotel is easily one of the best located in all of DC. Upscale neighborhood with relatively easy access to 2 different Metro Stations. Very close to the White House and great restaurants. This Hotel is geared for longer - term stays with apartment -size rooms. Our room was more comparable to a 1 Bedroom apartment with large square footage, a decent Kitchen, fully separate Bedroom and 1.5 Baths. Clean & Neat with quite a few amenities. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating

Overall a good choice, but Hotel needs updating - Bathrooms and bathroom fixtures fairly shop worn, and general decor is looking aged, but mostly well - kept

Clean, conveniently near metro (although we have a car), , near tourist spots, safe, restaurants and coffee shops around. Dupont is just less than 10 minutes away by car and a hip place to explore for shops and restaurants. Georgetown is also nearby. Great place for a family of five. everyone was comfortable. No breakfast but Panera Bread is just downstairs. Staff is friendly and very thorough. We came during the weekend, so parking was free, otherwise there is a fee to park in the hotel. Oh and the washing machine and dryer are also available to use. I highly recommend this place to families looking for an excellent time in DC.

Maybe coffee and juice in the lobby, if not breakfast. Water in the lobby too, would be great.

The description of the hotel on marketing platforms is spot-on! It is very near the Metro station, which goes in all directions. It is a 10-minute walk from the White House. It is spacious and well-equipped for self-catering, washing your clothes, and sleeping off jet lag when traveling from abroad. The kitchen wasn't stocked with dishwashing liquid or dishcloths, making cleaning dishes challenging. The unit was not served once in the five days we have stayed. It would have been nice if the trash was taken out and the bathrooms cleaned by staff at least every second day. Other than that, the perfect stay if you do not want to interact with anybody and do your own thing.

We liked the size of the room but not the lack of cleaning service. Based on our stay we should have had room service on Friday (May13-20) but no one showed up. We did like the bar and movie theater and proximately to the White House. So location was great. My family liked the gym as well. Washer and dryer are nice to have.

No room service unless you stay a certain number of days which we did and still nothing! Room with King Size bed did not have a private bathroom. Only the smaller queen room did! Makes no sense. Construction was happening next door and drilling woke us up at 5 AM. If you stay on the back side of the hotel you will also hear trash pickup at 6 am every morning. No trash pickup either. Although I saw maids in the hallway, people’s trash was still in plastic bags in front of their rooms for several days. Hope this review improves their service.

Nice staff, spacious and very well equipped apartment. Very good choice.

At the check-in front desk requested me the card I used to make the reservation (plastic). Turns out that I used a virtual card (as I always do at Booking.com). They said it was written in their policies which is true, but it’s a unique policy at booking.com. And I didn’t realize. I use to reserve around 10 hotels / year in different countries and never saw this policy. Pay extra attention to that when reserving. At the end the front desk resolved it cancelling with no charge the original reservation and booked the same room at the same rate to the same person using the same card. Really unnecessary bureaucracy. They should revise it…

The location was amazing, five minutes walk from the white house back side, with good access to the metro stations, two stations are located within five minutes walk from the hotel, many restaurants nearby with nice sushi place within 10 minutes walking distance the metro lines are providing quick cheap access to the touristic landmarks such as the National Mall, the Capitol Hill/Congress, the Prentagon and Arlington National Cemetery. The hotel apartment is five stars in my opinion with 24/7 front dest and very professional freidly staff, the reception can provide you with unlited number of toiletries, packed spring water cardboard bottles, washing machine powder, tea & Coffees which is part of the resort fees paid while checking in. The internet was fast and reliable. The apartment is spacious size, huge bedroonm with insuite bathroom with tub, the sitting roome is spacious with fully equipped kitchen including diswasher, washing machine and large fridge. Strogly recommended.
