I could not sleep past 330 am much as they turn the A/C off at night and there is no ceiling fan, so I was very hot. I did not open the window as I did not want the street noise. You do have to carry your luggage up to 2 or 3 rd floors, because no elevator. The parking lot is gone, but you can find parking on the street.

This was my second stay at the Camas Boutique Hotel. For anyone familiar with a renovated vintage Hotel property, or have traveled to properties in Europe, you will be familiar with the concept and pleasure associated with the Camas Boutique Hotel. We stayed on the third floor and enjoyed our room. A tiny bit small, but functional. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The in-wall air conditioner worked well and was quiet. The room had newer furnishings and modern conveniences, such as a TV, mini refrigerator and Keurig single pod coffee maker. The shared floor bathrooms (two on our floor) were clean and always available. The town of Camas quiets down quickly at night and is far from the freeway. Talk about a good night sleep!

If I’m forced to find fault, whoever put the toilet paper on the holders put it on so it unrolls from the back. The original patent for toilet paper shows it is supposed to unroll from the front of the roll. There was only a single chair for sitting in the room.

The Staff!! The front desk person was nice, funny, friendly, interesting, and we ended up talking for 40 mins before I realised it! She was a genuinely nice person, and great conversation. The other staff I briefly had interactions with were all cool, nice people with great smiles. The hotel itself is funky, with a great vibe and my room was nice and comfy. The shower was luxurious and warm, and the shared bathroom was clean, the heater worked very well, there was nothing to complain about. Also! The $7 breakfast at Natalia's cafe is great! Tasty, good serving size, and great value for money. This place is always full of locals, and I can see why. The locals love this place, and you will too.

Really, nothing I can think of. For the price this place is hard to beat, especially when you factor in breakfast at Natalia's Cafe.

Legit European-style boarding house. Private bathroom was spotless and the bed was very comfy. Check in was easy and the front of house desk manager was helpful, friendly, and patient. Great location in the heart of a quaint Camas neighborhood and shopping district. Close to great natural areas. I appreciate the variety of room choices for varying budgets.

The stairs are ok for most people, but wouldn't be able to travel here with my elderly Mom because of the stairs.

We loved the area - a beautiful place to spend the evening walking around, with several places to stop and eat or have a drink. The breakfast was wonderful. We were grateful for the availability of a washer and dryer. The room was welcoming and clean and the bed was comfortable. Even though the rooms were small, there was space for all of our luggage and even a desk in the corner. We loved the historical aspect of the hotel and would have welcomed a nice visit from one of the ghosts! It was a perfect place to stay before and after our day's exploration of the Columbia River Gorge. I wouldn't have minded staying a bit longer to do more than just window shopping in the shops up and down the street.

Some would mind the absence of elevators, but we were fine with climbing the stairs. The rooms were somewhat small, but given the age of the hotel and that they'd given up room space so that we could enjoy a private bathroom instead of the shared ones down the hall, we were okay with that! The shower doors didn't hold the water in very well so we had to be very careful about that detail.

Bed was SO COMFY !!! Street view was fun to people watch and close to all the food and shopping. Really enjoyed how secure the building is at night, even with staff not being at the front desk 24-7. Communication with staff was great too. I LOVED being on the 3rd floor, however if you are not a fan of stairs, this wonderful historic location would not be a good fit for you. That is part of the charm of this location and building is the fact it does have stairs, in my opinion.

Found couple spiders in my room, and I am petrified of them, however I know its the season for them, so I didn't say anything and took care of them myself. I did notice the silk flowers outside the window look like they have been there quite some time, and had several spider nests all around them. Wonderful street view, but you may want to clean up that area, especially if people want to open windows, which I know alot of us like to do this time of year.

We have planned to visit Portland and searched for cheap hotel - that's how we found Camas, which occured to be a nice small city, far more charming that Portland itself :) The hotel is located at the most touristic street of this city, full of restaurants and other shops. The hotel is one of the oldest building. Its inside decoration is very lovely and recalls old times. We have booked the room with shared bathroom. It was located at 3rd floor, was very clean and charming, the same for shared bathroom.

The only problem was the loud air conditioning and not working wifi, but I suppose, that it can be handled, we were judt to lazy to contact hotel service.

Breakfast deal was great at Natalie’s Diner next door. Room was great. Shared bathrooms were kept clean, and the staff was very friendly.

When we arrived at the hotel, we opened the pre-arranged lock box where we expected to find our hotel entrance and room door key, but no key was present. We had to purchase additional accommodations at Best Western for 200.00 because of the mistake. I am still waiting to see a refund for the first night’s charge applied to my credit card.

Great little place in the middle of Camas. Lots of window shopping, restaurants, and bars nearby. Staff was very friendly.

There were some holes in the corner of our room where pipes had been removed from an old heater (my best guess). A bit unnerving. Walls in the room could've been in better repair but not bad at all. It also took over 10 minutes to check in, though we rang the bell many times and even tried calling. Parking can be scarce but not impossible.

The location was ideal for a solo female traveling on a budget. The staff was incredibly friendly and helped me plan my stay. My room was immaculate and beds were so soft. Right down to the variety of pillows to choose. Felt like Goldilocks, nice touch!

It took a little longer for the shower (on third floor) to get above warmish - felt like I was wasting water hoping it would get warmer - then suddenly the hot reached the tap - success!
