The property is gorgeous, historic, and filled with beautiful photos, furniture, and artwork - not to mention it’s right on the water. It’s like stepping on the set of a 19th century historic lodge, but with good cocktails. I loved the aesthetic, the thoughtful touches (bathrobes in room, white noise machine, snacks and tea), and the service from staff. The restaurant and bar are excellent, and I loved the coffee shop in the morning. Very comfy beds!

It *is* pretty pricey (in the lodge) for a small room with a shared bath, but you’re paying for vibes. I did meet one guy who was pretty disappointed about the shared bath situation (he thought it wasn’t clear to him at booking although I think he booked directly with the hotel not through this website). Also, it would be nice if there was somewhere to walk from the property that didn’t involve getting in your car. Even with the cost, I would 100 percent stay here again and recommend it.

Gorgeous location and grounds, had a little bit of everything for your entertainment. Resturant had amazing clam chowder, rooms are cozy. Robes were a nice extra since it gets cold.

Only 2 bathroom stalls for all rooms in lodge, and 1 shower, luckily we were there during off season. Walls are paper thin so you hear everything. Staff is very inexperienced, we didn't know prior to arriving that the lodge rooms are upstairs via a steep, narrow flight of stairs. When we asked staff if there was a ramp she just shook her head no and held open the door for us - make sure you request a cabin if you're disabled. No Tv's in room so if you have kids bring entertainment.

Classic ambiance, peaceful and relaxing. Lighting was tone down for calmness. Wellness studio was unique with dry sauna. I needed to spend two more days there. Great place to write a book, site by fireplace, dream. Ask for larger room - some were smaller that was not comfortable for sitting although there is ample comfortable sitting throughout the lodge-like atmosphere. Seems designed for meeting others - people getting away for some peace

comfortable room chair - I was in smaller room, larger rooms may have couch or large padded chair. Shared bathrooms seemed sketchy when i read about it but very clean, modern and still with private stalls and showers. Best smelling bodywash and shampoos ever are provided!

The property is absolutely beautiful. And, the staff was extremely helpful, welcoming and knowledgeable. I know it's a slower season, but would have loved if the bar were open later, especially on the weekends. It's such a nice bar! And, the corner store/coffee shop could have a few more travel needs and things. Overall, I can't wait to come back and experience the property more. It's really fantastic.

This is an amazing historical hotel in the most charming location. The restaurant is excellent and the setting is unforgettable. Parts of the hotel, especially in the lodge, are rustic, so it's only a good choice for travelers who experience an amazing locale and historic environment over all modern comforts. The staff is personable and goes the extra mile for guests.

The room (in the lodge building) needed better lighting.

Loved the different, thoughtful amenities around the property - the fire pits, the tree net, the hammock, the variety of seating, the kayak availability, sauna, and walking trails. This really makes the resort feel like a unique hideaway.

Stayed in the main building in one of the older, small rooms. I went into it knowing that there would not be A/C or my own bathroom, which were fine. However, the room had a generally "old" smell, like old carpet or used linens. The bed and sheets were clean and comfortable but a carpet and curtain refresh might update the experience a bit.

I absolutely loved this historic inn - from the fantastic staff to the property itself. It had so much character but didn’t smell old. It was spotless- even the shared bathroom upstairs in the main lodge where I stayed. You can hear others through the floor or walls, but they have a white noise machine which solved that. The bed was so comfortable. Robes to use are toasty for bathroom trips. The coffee in the am is wonderful and strong :) Fireplace and surroundings are gorgeous!

Nothing - it was perfect

The bed and bedding were comfortable. The view from our room was outstanding. The grounds of the Inn were lovely and if the weather was nicer, it would have been lovely to enjoy a fire in one of the fire pits. There was complimentary coffee in the main lodge. The lodge was warm and inviting with a fire crackling in its original stone fireplace. Interesting photos and memorabilia in the lodge.

We arrived after dark and it was hard to find our room although the staff did point to our building. The parking wasn’t very well lit. The room was very spartan, with almost no furniture, except the bed. The only breakfast offered had to be purchased from a little store on the property. There was no coffee maker in the room. It was okay with us, but people should know that there is no TV in the room either.

Great place at a lagoon right in the middle of the Island close to precious Coupeville and Ebey's Landing (cool trail). Don't miss Deception Pass. I also recommend whale watching tours from Anacortes. Also had a great dinner at the Oyster Catcher. There is dear walking between properties, please drive carefully.

Gorgeous spot in historic lodge. A very welcoming place. Rooms had water views and comfortable beds. Shared bathrooms down the hall were clean and tidy. Fabulous dinner in the restaurant with excellent service. Coffee bar in the morning was very handy.

The front stairs up to the rooms do not feel up to code.
