I needed a place reasonably close to Stevens Pass ski area, which I went to the next day. It's an old motel that's well kept up and served my needs for a basic place to spend the night. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom adequate. There are good restaurants on the main street about a mile away from the motel. I would stay there again.
The room was a bit small and crowded. It might be difficult for a couple who would have a lot of luggage. It is off the main highway and difficult to find, especially at night.

There wasn't anything to really dislike about the accommodations. I admit I was surprised to find it was an old style motel but all I was seeking was a clean quiet place to get some sleep between work schedule. The Monroe Motel filled the bill would definitely stay there again.
Oh one thing does come to mind, for not a whole lot of money the owners could upgrade the windows in the units, would keep the rooms a bit warmer and potentially save on heating costs over time.

From very first interaction I could tell the man who greeted us was very accommodating. He saw that we had our kids with us and asked if we would like bedding for the pull out sofa. Which we didn’t need for our one night stay, but I was grateful for the offer. After getting back right after midnight from visiting with our local family we accidentally locked our keys in the room right before anyone was in the room. With two kids in the car and tears welling up in my eyes not wanting to be disruptive, I had no other option but to press the “ring” doorbell at the front office and hope that someone came. My heart sank with joy when he came to the door and he didn’t make me feel bad to disturbing him so late. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality. it’s always appreciated.
I honestly wish we had more time to get to enjoy its beauty next to the river. I’ve never been a fan of trains, but I’ve always slept with a fan, so white noise took care of that.

I had brought an unwrapped wedding present; I asked for a recommendation for where to get a nice gift bag. The proprietor said, "Wait a moment," then emerged with a beautiful gift bag that he had on hand. Having some spare time before the wedding, I asked about local attractions. The proprietor gave me directions to a local park; the room-cleaner relayed very specific road-crossings and cautions - and I had a wonderful adventure! None of this would have happened at a big chain motel. The cross-breeze in my room was lovely. The management had even set up chairs down by the creek, giving me a magical setting for reading. And the proprietor directed me to his favorite grocery store and Thai restaurant. I lacked for nothing!

We had a spur of the moment trip to Monroe and booked this motel. From the outside it looks like an old fashioned mom n pop motel, but the inside has been all redone. It matches some luxury suites we have stayed in! Very clean, comfortable beds, and the back sliding door opens onto a patio with a creek and woods behind. Near the city you will still hear some traffic and trains, but overall pretty quiet. Tammy was very kind to help us after a mix up with our reservation dates. Definitely recommend you try Monroe Motel!

No breakfast. Convenient location to Evergreen State Fairgrounds. Comfortable beds! Very clean. Sofa and chair to sit on and look out the sliding glass door out back to the river! Beautiful!
Clouds of ganja coming from the house/office, PM and AM. (sorry - it's very pungent!)

The quiet creek side setting, yet being so close to town, and stores. The cleanliness of the room and everything being in good working order. Thank You for a great overnight stay. We'll be back!

We had our small dog with us and they didn't charge us if we had a kennel, which I thought was very flexible. The room was very large and spacious. It had a sliding door with a big grassy area in the back which was convenient for our dog. In the summer I imagine its beautiful as there is a river that runs along the back of the property. The beds were very comfortable and the room and bathroom seemed very clean.
The room was freezing when we arrived, but we booked only a few hours before arrival. We turned on the heat and left for dinner when we got back it was very warm. Our dog was sniffing the carpet quite a bit, which might of meant there had been some accidents or spills in the room. The television was small in reference to the room size and it was very dark. I tried to adjust the brightness, but the controls were locked and I didn't want to bother the front desk. I could hardly see it from the bed and it was a shame as they had HBO :) Also, have the cleaning staff look behind the T.V. quite a bit of junk on the floor. Overall very clean room though!
