It was not your average hotel. But having said that, the ambiance was great. Pulled pork pizza was delicious. The room was clean and bed was comfy. It's very large so they provide luggage carts which was a great help getting things to the room. The free coffee in the lobby was a nice touch.

I was surprised to see extra charges on our bill. When booking there was no mention of this.

The staff was great (thank you, Kim) and very helpful.

The walls in the rooms are thin, therefore, it was a bit noisy at night. We happened to be staying at the same time as the hotel was hosting a Doberman show so there were lots (!) of dogs in the hotel rooms . The dogs were fine but one of the owners left his dog unattended in the room for a couple of hours. I got to hear a wonderful Doberman howling symphony until 10:30 at night! That was a unique experience for sure! There was really nothing the staff could do until the owner returned. Otherwise, I very much enjoyed my stay at the Olympia and would stay again.

The food at the restaurant was really good but pricey. The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean!

No coffee in the rooms! Had to get up and go all the way downstairs to get coffee. The hotel is big and we were pretty far away from the lobby. Also neither ice machine worked on the 2nd or 3rd floors. Carpet in front of both sets of elevators (2nd and 3rd floors) were stained with and looked terrible but they appeared to be new. Not sure why they weren't shampooed and cleaned up. All the outside windows need to be dusted, the spider webs were so bad.Really made the hotel look unkempt!

When we pulled up to the hotel, I sat in the shuttle thinking it was someone's else's stop. I had no idea my hotel would be that grand and huge--you can't tell from the photos. The imposing facade and long corridors made me think it might have applied for the role of the Shining hotel, but I had a very serene and peaceful stay. Nice lounge/dining room with big windows over greenery. Closest location to Evergreen State College for visiting a student.

The "healthy breakfast" option was enough for four servings and drizzled wtih blueberry syrup so they might want to rename it. But tasty.

The hotel is nestled in a tiny forest of pines, so it had a feel that you were in a lodge deep in the woods, when you were actually in the city. The room was roomy, clean and neat. There was also a little smoking shelter outside for those who do. Complimentary coffee in the morning was a bonus, as we didn't get the breakfast included plan.

The walls were a bit thin. I know that it's not easily remedied considering that it is a structural thing. But we could hear every word of the conversations in the adjoining room and every footstep made in the room above.

The hotel surroundings are beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great - Olympia downtown is 3 minutes by car but is also a nice and safe walk along Capitol Lake. Hotel has a lovely bar and restaurant.

The pool was closed for renovation. Net curtains in our room could have done with a clean and so could have most of the hotel windows.

Spent just one night here, which in hindsight was a pity, as this is a nice hotel off the beaten path in a rather quiet neighborhood but still just off US-101. Very friendly staff, and while the hotel itself is a lil' older our room seemed recently renovated, was clean and rather spacious with a comfy bed and nice bathroom. They offered breakfast, but it was extra, so we skipped that and rather hit the road. Great place, would stay here again if we're ever back this way.

The hotel is beautiful and is situated in a treed area close to a lake. It is peaceful, quite large and very clean and modern. The bar and restaurant areas are huge. Fresh coffee awaits you and the lobby all day. The feeling of space in both the corridors and in your room are very refreshing. Very clean, very modern and easy access to the i5 and also shopping if needed. Best hotel I have stayed in for a while. Staff were extremely friendly..

I couldn't stay longer.

This hotel is a great value! I wanted to find something that was affordable near the Tacoma area and couldn't find a decent hotel in my price range. Though it was a slightly further drive (but still only 30 mins away), this hotel was so much more comfortable, in a much better neighborhood than most Tacoma hotels, and it was an excellent price for what you get. The room was cozy and clean and suited my needs perfectly. The front desk manager was very kind and said he even went the extra mile to make sure that I could get a room on the top floor as requested. There is plenty of free parking available and the hotel is located only minutes from downtown Olympia, where there are restaurants, shops, etc.

I wish they had a coffee maker in the room, not just free drip coffee in the lobby. Also, the hotel does not offer breakfast unless you pay extra for it when booking. The breakfast buffet doesn't have any signs indicating this, but when we went to grab a plate, someone came over and said without a slip, it would be $16 each. Completely not worth it in my opinion. We went to a nearby cafe instead and spent less than that for a better breakfast.

I never made it to breakfast, but I ordered a few beers from the saloon and they are were over the top nice and when I needed coffee they brewed a fresh pot. No charge.

I might cut some of the shrubs down some to see more of the Lake. If you could afford it I would invest in a natural product that eliminates some of the musky carpet odors in the hall way. Veterinary offices have sprays that don't have hardly any odor but they kill other odors.
