This was an exceptional property! The beds were unbelievably comfortable! The double vanities (one in the bathroom, one outside the bathroom) with lots of additional soap/shampoo, etc were wonderful. Also the ability to walk into the little town and enjoy the microbrewery and other restaurants was also great.

Honestly, the gentleman at the front desk was not pleasant. I’m sure he gets tired of people trying to check in early, etc., but the big sign on the front door of the hotel stating absolutely no early check-ins, seems a bit harsh (we got to the hotel at 2:40 for a 3pm check-in). Saying hello was out of his abilities, let alone giving out local tips/suggestions (go to the visitor center in town…that gentleman was wonderful). Also Packwood is not convenient to Mt. Rainier at this point. Stevens Canyon Rd is only opened on Saturday and Sunday.

We were pleasantly surprised at the property. The staff was MOST attentive. The property is in a very small town and our expectations were of a very basic motel. Instead we found a clean and 100% functional room. Lovely shower with lots of water pressure (often one of our disappointments but not this time) and lots of hot water. Staff was attentive to our requests and, perhaps most surprising, the WiFi was fast and stable. Everything in the town is walkable (it is a small town). We enjoyed the two-hour drive to the Mt. Rainier Visitor Center (quicker coming back as you don't stop as often). Overall a very nice but short stay.

A small continental breakfast would have been nice. But the supermarket is close by and we bought what we needed to make up our two breakfasts.

+ In general, the property is conveniently located for hikes in Mt. Rainier NP (yet, the Stevens Canyon entrance is currently closed on weekdays) + Friendly and helpful staff + Large room with a comfortable bed + Second sink area outside of the bathroom + Free parking + Deer on the lawn

o Credit card was accidently double charged, second transaction was however immediately voided when they realized it - Some wear signs in the room, also the floor was partly still dusty upon arrival - No breakfast - More outdoor seating needed

There was NO breakfast at all!! Location was easy to get to. Room was very clean and comfortable!

A full, hot breakfast was advertised when I booked and also on the facility information sheet in my room but a sign on the lobby door stated breakfast had been discontinued. There was only coffee and tea in the lobby: very disappointing! The desk clerk was unfriendly and unwelcoming, though he did, somewhat grudgingly, find me a ground floor room when I requested it.

Nice hotel, nice ambiance of northwest woods, great location for Mount Rainier. Front desk personnel were exceptionally nice and helpful. I really like a sink area that is separate from the bathroom like this provided. Nice. The room size is slightly bigger than normal for a double queen room. Good air-conditioning/air flow. Great shower and water pressure.

-Would have LOVED a breakfast available before 7am. -The South-East entrance to Mount Rainier NP was closed, meaning a longer drive into the park -The lobby did not have any brochure rack of local information for tourists. Small lobby area.

Large, clean room The mattresses were plush, but a little lumpy, we thought. The furnishings were adequate. The location provided easy access to the Ohanapecosh campground and trails. The elk in the morning and evening were a treat. The price seemed competitive. Overall, a comfortable lodging in a good location. We'd stay again.

Great location. Quiet and well equipped rooms. Firdge and microwave worked well, though not really room for more than two to eat in room. Bathroom was adequate and well stocked with soap/shampoo, etc. The town has a brew pub and adequate food. There is a good grocery store nearby.

A bit overpriced. No breakfast was offered.

I wish they served breakfast but I knew when I booked that it did not so we came prepared with breakfast food so we could get an early start to the park.

The lodge is well kept, the room is clean and spacious and the facilities work properly. Good location, easy access to restaurants, coffee shop and market. Only non-smoking rooms, which I personally loved. Would definitely recommend.

The front desk person welcomed us with a certain coldness and no smile.

The property has a great location and the room was spacious and clean. A very comfortable place to stay. The lobby has a nice selection of tea and popcorn - a nice touch.

The lobby staff could of been a bit more welcoming.
