The hotel is in a great location at South Union Lake. There is a wonderful seafood restaurant right across the street (Duke's). It's an easy 5 minute walk to the South Lake street car station, which takes you downtown Seattle. Use the TransitGo app to by an all day pass for $4.50. The gym is also very nice and I had some good workouts there. Staff is very helpful and cheery. The room was big and the bed very comfortable.

Small plastic bottles for shampoo and conditioner and small bars of soap. I prefer, if hotels use refillable bottles for this. At least they had a soap dish, which other hotels didn't. I am also not very fond of having to pay $30/day for parking.

Decent breakfast buffet, excellent staff, and very clean rooms. Room lighting is a bit odd but sufficient. The suite main room doesn't have any curtains, and our suite was right next to the loading dock, so 1 day out of 4, it was impossible to sleep in. Great shower and HVAC system comfortable and well appointed. All of the staff went above and beyond to accommodate and always had a great attitude. Location is good, not exactly central but easily navigated, and none of the issues that people assume plague a bigger city like Seattle. Excellent local physical security and always felt very safe. I will stay here again.

It was such a beautiful experience, the spacious and clean room and the whole facility. We didn't use a shuttle or told no shuttle. Breakfast was amazing and delicious so many varieties and in abundance. People who served the breakfast were very patient, kind and professional.

Actually we did like everything about the hotel and grateful about everything. The only difficult thing we experienced was the access card to our room and facility didn't work for three days out of the six days we stayed. We had to come to the front desk to get it reactivated.

Great location overlooking Lake Union and close to the city center (it's worth paying an extra $20 a night for a view room); friendly and efficient front desk staff; very comfortable bed; quality Aveda toiletries; superlative breakfast compared to most hotel offerings, with a wide range of choices in a nice, light-filled lake view space, and with real plates and silverware compared to so much throwaway products most places use. Breakfast staff were very hard-working. Was convenient to have a secure parking garage, although parking costs are steep at $45/night.

The only thing that brings Silver Cloud Lake Union down from a straight 10, in my book, is that the ambience and decor are pretty dated. A bit dark and dull. Not a big deal at all considering the many other 10/10 features, and if it means that a major refresh would raise the prices a lot, then I'm okay with how it is...but it is ready for a renovation.

The room was CLEAN! Staff was always present in the lobby and quick to respond (friendly too), I liked the little shop with snacks, and the later-than-standard checkout was much appreciated, especially considering the thorough job they obviously do when cleaning. Aveda products are a nice touch!

I wish there'd been filtered water available so we wouldn't have had to purchase plastic bottles. A more substantial selection of food and drinks for purchase would have been appreciated, but plenty of places to eat and drink nearby so not a big deal.

Appreciate manager Melissa and all her help as we were in Seattle for my son's New Cancer Diagnosis and she went out of her way to get us the nicest room to make my son's stay as good as it could be. It was the nicest room with a wonderful view and so quiet. She also worked up a special price for us if we need to stay for 6 weeks of Radiation treatments. I appreciate all the staffs good nature and excellent customer service, and Melissa especially went out of her way to make us feel welcome and cared for. Breakfast is amazing, lots of great choices and very friendly helpful staff!!

The only complaint is that we could not find a guide for the television, to know what channels are playing what, we are from MT and have satellite television, so do not know what or how to use cable t.v. This is a minor complaint, but it would be nice to either have a paper guide to daily scheduling, a place to find the daily guide on computer, or if you were able to have a guide on the television as a choice

Staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Our room was very clean which we appreciated. Beds were comfortable and no sign of bed bugs. Yes, we do check before we bring our bags into a hotel room. The breakfasts were filling and good variety.

We've stayed in many hotels in our travels and we feel this one is among the top for cleanliness, friendly helpful staff and especially comfortable mattresses. However, we have experienced the same with hotels that were less expensive. So we do think that the price was a little high for the value.

I chose this hotel mainly for the low parking rates, but I was impressed with the whole experience. First of all, the size of the room was fantastic and included a mini fridge (always important for a multi-day stay). Every employee that I encountered was extremely sweet and helpful. The surrounding area felt safe and walkable, even though it was an "industrial" area. There was a nice seafood restaurant across the street (Duke's) and a cute deli/convenience store (Eastlake Specialty Market) a few blocks away. The gym was better than most hotel gyms that I've used as well (larger, more machines, etc).

There were ants in the bar area. The walls were pretty thin and I could hear conversations clearly when people talked in the hallway or by the nearby elevator. Half of the hotel (including my room) is directly adjacent to I-5, so traffic noise was pretty much a constant hum. The hotel is at the bottom of the hill and the freeway is at the top, so the noise is not that bad, but I'm sure it would bother some people.

Location was perfect, loved the proximity to SLU and the lake view from the highest floor. Spent way too long staring at the lake during sunrise and at night! Bed was very comfortable. Room and WiFi suitable to take meetings comfortably. Definitely one of the larger hotel rooms I've been in.

I'd always like a tiny bit lower prices but I realised too late that the prices were going up fairly quickly as the days passed, and I had originally seen the room listed for a lot lower, than by the time I booked.

Great location near Lake Union and close to downtown/Seattle center. Simple but comfortable, good-sized room. Rooms were quiet. Breakfast included an assortment of eggs, meat, waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit. Somewhat crowded but conveniently onsite parking facility.

No complaints about the property or staff but the price was a bit high for the level of service. I don't love the post-pandemic trend toward minimal housekeeping even at mid- and some high-level properties. Replacing towels, coffee supplies, etc. becomes a problem after a day or two.
