The room was clean and spacious enough. I like the comfy chair with footstool option and plenty of outlets and lighting options. it has a nice sized fridge, the bed was comfy and I appreciated the variety of choices for breakfast. I couldn't hear people in their rooms around. There is a seperate room for ice, vending machines and washer/dryer which is nice for noise protection.

I tried to go for a walk and couldn't go far without crossing path with just homeless people, everyone else drives and there is nothing to walk to anyways so it is just a place to rest/sleep. The windows are not soundproof enough and could hear outside conversation too clearly.

Room was clean, hotel has been updated and looks attractive. Property was clean and free on any trash or homeless evidence. Everything was very clean.

Not an area for walking, and the homeless problem, while absent from the property, is all over several blocks away. Somehow, the hotel has kept a very clean, safe space, but not too many blocks and its different. The breakfast had some basic assortment of foods and pre-packaged bars, etc., but not a great variety. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. We'll take some food to supplement next time--we will be back, just not counting on breakfast to take care of us.

Room was clean, comfortable bed, good air/heat, breakfast was good. Nice TV. Great location near the highway.

I had asked for a main floor room because they didn't have an elevator (I have difficulty with stairs). I didn't get one. It looked well appointed, but I discovered that they didn't have a microwave in the room (I wanted to heat up leftovers for dinner) and the fridge didn't have a freezer ( so I couldn't refreeze my ice packs for my cooler). The K-cup coffee maker worked fine, but was not stocked with actual regular coffee, only decaf and tea. Disappointing as then I had to wait to have my coffee till I had breakfast in the lobby when I checked out. Usually there is a book with helpful information in it, but there was nothing in this room.

Honestly, with the price, we were expecting what we had been experiencing our whole trip…mediocre hotels. Which is okay, the point of our journey was our experiences. But the Hotel Y was a little oasis in that desert! A jewel, seriously! Everything was clean and nice, the staff was so helpful and friendly (something we’d grown accustomed to doing without), and the bed was comfortable. We didn’t take advantage of the breakfast but I have a feeling that would have surprised us in a good way, too :)

We liked everything <3 I don’t know why you guys are so affordable, but I appreciate it!

Very well remodeled hotel. Pleasing to eye. Well appointed. Very comfy and clean. I did not partake in breakfast. Plenty of parking. Everything appeared new. Excellent coffee just feet from hotel.

Location is a tad skeptical. No fault of hotel. This place is safe! However, if your not a big city person or dislike street drug use don't turn after hotel to the right. Sadly, there is great Mexican food 3 blocks away. We had zero issues walking in dark. Staff at hotel ensure no one ventures on to property. We had motorcycles parked out front. Zero issues.

Motel Y is super convenient off the freeway. We have never been to Yakima and this did not seem like the best area of town (several unhoused appearing individuals loitering down the street). The hotel, itself, felt very safe. We didn't see anyone on the property who was not a guest. This little motel that could has been completely refurbished and, despite its age, was a comfortable modern room. The room was equipped with a taller than usual hotel mini fridge and a Keurig coffee maker. No microwave. The beds were very comfortable and the linens clean. The pool was very busy so we didn't go for a swim but we peeked over the fence when we checked in and it looked super cute and clean. The continental breakfast was the neatest we have had, especially as an independent motel. There were pre-made breakfast sandwiches and burritos in the fridge with self serve microwaving options, make your own waffles, fruit, porridge, biscuits, granola bars, cereal and more! We were very impressed!

Some of the laminate floorboards are coming apart (room 110) and dirt is sitting in the cracks that make the room maintenance seem a little wanting.

The modern decor was a nice change from the older motel chains. There were more breakfast options than many motels, but still very little for vegans or vegetarians. Very friendly, helpful staff.

Sadly lots of single use throw away plastic in the rooms, and especially at breakfast. Each bakery item wrapped in cling film in addition to everything else in single portion plastic, plastic cutlery etc. disappointing for what appears to be a newish motel. No recycling evident. 2 bins at breakfast, 1 could be recycling for plastic juice bottles, paper, cartoons etc.

Very spacious rooms, big beds and plenty of free parking. Reception open all the time, and offering nice cold water and (not impressive) coffee. Staff were friendly, too...

Breakfast was only so-so, and the coffee just okay; luckily, they have a Crave drive-through just in front of reception where the coffee is excellent. I did not get a particularly quiet room on my first two nights, but the last night (Sunday) was much, much better! Also found hair in my bathtub and on one of the pillows, which wasn't too comforting...

It was clean, the breakfast was honest, the personal was kind and efficient.

You have to know that there is a swimming pool, that's great... BUT if you want to rest or sleep, ask for a room far away from it... yesterday night, young adults (teens without parents?) screamed from 8:15pm to 9:45pm... the personal came to make them quiet, but nothing happened, then 2 other people came, finally the screamer went away... not a good night when you have young kids who need to sleep early. It was not so hot outside, it was raining, and the swimming pool was heated... so don't trust the weather to have a quiet environment... ask for a room far away from it

The shower was great! The beds were very comfortable. For the most part, it was really quiet. (occasional noise from someone walking around above us on the second floor. There were plenty of places to plug in electronics/CPAP machines, etc.

There was no microwave in our room so we would have to take our food to the main office to heat anything. The blinds in the room were almost impossible to operate. (We ended up breaking them accidently.) There is no carpet in the room and our feet got dirty walking on the floor. (But not nearly as bad as some other hotels we have used!)
