The hosts, Janet and Karl, are very friendly and welcoming. They make you feel right at home. We had the pleasure of enjoying both savory and sweet breakfasts. Both were delicious. The hosts are very knowledgeable about the area, so they gave many recommendations about where to go based upon our interests. The property is beautiful. We also enjoyed conversations with the other guests staying at the property.

The only thing we didn't like was that we had to leave.

First of all the owners Janet and Carl are very wonderful people. They spare nothing to make your visit comfortable and very friendly. Also the ambience of the home/house...lots of history and pictures. Rooms are most comfortable and every detail... shampoo, grab bars, toilet lids that close slow (yes it is important) is taken care of. Their breakfasts however are unmatched, simply outstanding.

A beautiful historic home and one of the best B and B’s we’ve ever stayed in. The owners, Janet and Carl, have simply thought of everything their guests could want. They’ve also ensured that everything works as it should, and that the place is spotlessly clean. They are also very nice people, warm and engaging. The breakfast was terrific. (And no, we don’t know them.)

The house is historically authentic. the owners are so proud of its heritage. They have maintained it well. The room was very nice, loved the beautiful quilt on the bed. The best part was the breakfast! The table is set with your starter when you come down to breakfast. The first day it was scones and sliced fruit, second day was a yogurt parfait and sesame bread. the main course the 1st day was an egg dish loaded with vegetables and potatoes that were waffled. 2nd day was sausage and a bread with peaches on top. That was delicious, don't know how he got it so light and fluffy. The presentation was beautiful, and we were all treated special. Only drawback for me was the huge portions, but the taste was incredible. Spending time on the porch was nice and relaxing.

I can honestly say there isn't anything I would change. The owners have everything pretty much covered.

The home was beautifully restored to it's 1902 glory and beautifully furnished. Breakfast was fantastic every morning. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. They made great recommendations for things to do, places to see, explore and eat. We were very comfortable and had a great time. Highly recommend this gem of a B&B.

Not a thing

The house was beautiful and the owners gave us a lot of history on the original owners and the area. The breakfasts were delicious and the portions were huge. They put thought into what they serve, not just a continental breakfast or standard scrambled eggs and bacon. They also had snacks available all day and night which was nice to satisfy the sweet tooth before bed. It was very relaxing, the bed was comfortable and the sheets definitely high quality. The pictures on the website were 100% accurate. We felt safe and taken care of - highly recommend! The next time we vacation in the area we won't hesitate to book there again.

We didn't like anything about The Scofield Inn, we LOVED IT. What a wonderful experience. Beautiful house and room, the most courteous and kind hosts, fantastic meals and accommodations, and a great location. We loved everything and will definitely be visiting again; maybe even this year!

There was nothing we didn't like. I'm serious. It was all better than we could have expected.

Karl and Janet are great, felt like we were with family. Every morning they prepared a home made meal, starting with fresh fruits homemade pastries, and finishing with a delicious hot breakfast, it all was so good. I looked forward to each morning to see what they prepared for us. Fresh cookies baked and left out for us every afternoon, so yummy!!

There really isn't anything I can say bad, it was relaxing and very enjoyable. Truly felt like we were visiting family in their home. They had great travel tips and history about the house.

We were met with a warm and welcoming smile and felt like family from the onset. The home is beautiful, historic and in pristine condition. Our hostess had all the details covered. They didn’t miss a trick. Amenities in our room such as coffee and tea, snacks, water, soda all available. But just a warm and welcoming feeling. Not being one to routinely stay in bed and breakfasts, this was such a treat for my wife and me. Just terrific.

The only thing I didn’t like is that we had to leave. It was such an enjoyable place to stay.

The breakfast was delicious and portion sizes were generous. There were many drink option available. Hot apple cider, tea, coffee, WI sodas, and cookies (and other snacks) were available all day. Areas outside of our room were comfortable and welcoming. Our room was beautiful, with period details, a whirlpool tub, two comfortable chairs, fireplace, and very comfortable bed.

No complains, I was pleased with everything about our stay.
