Love this inn and have for years so I was excited to see it on booking.com that way my husband and I could go at a discounted price since we all know that having kids, things are sometimes out of the price range for things like this. This was actually our first time away without any kids with us. Honestly, we wished we could've stayed longer and are already starting to plan another trip so we can stay at the inn again.

There are no complaints from us for Barker's Island Inn. Everything about it is wonderful. Next time we plan to eat at the restaurant inside as well, we were just on a time crunch the next day so couldn't.

We like the convenience of the restaurant, bar & plenty of parking ! We like staying on the 1st floor. Also, the outdoor surroundings and lake are beautiful & nice for walking.

We were hoping to use the hot tub, but jets weren’t working & tub looked dirty. The sauna didn’t seem to be working either. One of the reasons why we stayed 2 nights !

There is construction going on so less options to see the full glory. A little outdated room furniture but still very comfortable and clean rooms.. The restaurant is beautiful and great service and the island has beautiful views and a wonderful little store.

The pool and hot tub are wonderful sizes and good depth for both kids and adults however there was a layer of grime on the tile of the pool just above the water line that really needs to be cleaned off and grossed me out as my little children need to hold the side of the pool often.

The facilities are always inviting. You can't beat the view of Lake Superior, it is gorgeous year round. The rooms are always clean.

The large table that is a "desk" is about to fall down. You can see a screw that was put in, but the wood is bowed out. This item needs to be replaced.

Nice big place ON the lakeshore. I walked across street to take sunrise pictures. Long hallway, parked on side and hauled suitcase up stairs. nice room, away from the pool. no breakfast anymore - pay at restaurant - i didnt (?$15). It was cheap preseason in April :)

I am guessing the hotel had nothing to do about this but there was a birthday party. The people basically took over the pool area. Lots of kids in the pool and hot tub. Very loud. Not only kids but many people in the pool area. Too many for us to enjoy the pool.

Nice pool with a very hot hot tub! Sauna was also nice. We weren’t expecting a breakfast, but it was free! Simple cereal, bread, hard boiled eggs, juice, pastries, and packed breakfast sandwiches. Great water pressure in the shower. Very quiet!

The property is a bit old so smells a little and we saw a bit of mould. Parking lot is under renovation currently so our lake view room had a few cars in front.

We enjoyed all aspects of our stay here. The restaurant is wonderful and serves great food

They used to offer free breakfast and don't anymore. The place is getting old.

Good value. Room was nice and clean. Bed was super comfortable. Good location with water view.

Restaurant breakfast was expensive and left a lot to be desired. Save yourself and go to Perkins around the corner.

View was the best! Also enjoyed walking along the lake and watching yatchs people with their boats. Windows opened (though many seem to have lost the screens) Decent variety of pre packaged breakfast options Staff was super friendly and helpful Pool area was very clean and did not smell strong of chemicals
