Lots of good pho restaurants and superb coffee shops around the general area. There are also various shops, grocery stores and pharmacies nearby. The beautiful Hoàn Kiếm Lake and the magnificent St. Joseph’s Cathedral are also within walking distance from the hotel. Jenny at the front desk was friendly, helpful and accommodating, always ready with directions and recommendations. She assists in arranging tours and helps out in the kitchen too! Daily breakfast was delicious, the menu changed every day but there was always local fruits and various Vietnamese dishes that you can have cooked to order. Our room was clean, spacious and recently revovated, while the bed was super comfy. We had such a relaxing stay here so the next time we go to Hanoi, we’d definitely stay at Veris again!

The hotel was overbooked on the first night of our stay so they gave us a room at a partner hotel a few doors away — which slightly upset us as we chose to stay specifically at Veris based on what we saw on the listing on Booking.com. Didn’t like that room and the bathroom (which were very different from Veris’) so we were happy when we were finally given a room at Veris Hotel on our second night.

The staff was very helpful. We booked through booking for 2 nights and after that directly for another 2 nights when we were finishing our trip. The location was very good, in the heart of the old quarter but on small side street. We could walk everywhere. Breakfast was nice and long. We could store our luggage there for extended period of time. The staff also booked for us taxi to Hanoi airport and exchanged money. The rooms we've got for the second 2 nights were big and light. Bathrooms decent and clean.

The room we booked through booking was a bit small and almost no light in it. Just one small window facing the next building. Mind you this was the cheapest option for a room. For the other nights we booked a little bit more expensive one and it was much nicer. As the hotel is on a small street, cars can not go on it, so taxis and buses were coming on a nearby street, where you have to walk maybe 100-200 meters. It didn't bother us even with a luggage.

A wonderful place to stay - An amazing hotel located in the centre of old quarter Hanoi. The room was perfect. Super comfy bed cleaned every day, lots of space for luggage, wonderful lockers, free Wi-Fi, smiling staff and super clean rooms, washrooms and shower area. The breakfast was delicious and very plentiful, lots of fresh fruit, juices and freshly cooked eggs, pancakes etc. with local Vietnamese Pho for those interested. Could you ask for more? Add to it - it is super close to the Lake, in walking distance of all musea , the Cathedral and close to the train station and post office. A decent hotel where the owner Jenny makes you feel at home - yeah, she is ever ready to help out with anything and everything. Seriously don't look any further, book here when you visit Hanoi! You won't regret it. Its fantastic value for money. Will 100% stay here again and again when we visit Hanoi.

There is nothing not to like. Jenny & Kevin go out of their way to make your stay worthwhile.

Really great location for exploring the city on foot Very friendly staff who were able to help with our questions Can order fresh eggs for breakfast each morning, as well as Pho and other things to choose from Aircon works well. As does the Netflix on the telly.

The beeping from the traffic is pretty much 24 hours a day in Hanoi and can be heard in the rooms - recommend ear plugs! I actually think it’d be louder at other hotels as Veris is down a little alley which possibly even shields the noise Room a little run down in places - just needs some light maintenance

The location is off street in a by-lane and not easy to find. Once you find it, it's fabulous, near to lots of eateries and a 10 min walk to the lake. Kevin, the manager is always smiling and very helpful. He is there at 6am serving buffet breakfast and then at the desk until 10pm at night. Food is good with eggs made to your choice as well as pho served on top of the buffet spread.

Hot water geyser tank is cumbersome and runs out of hot water mid shower. Jenny, the other manager is super moody, grumpy and cab be borderline rude at times. Don't even bother asking for $ exchange here. Try Kim travels for a good rate.

Staff were very helpful (Jenny in particular) - helped book our Halong Bay tour, suggested a good massage place, areas to buy certain clothes and changed our room to a higher floor to try and help reduce the noise we could hear. Breakfast was good with a buffet and also noodle / egg options to order also. Location is good, quite central to a lot of things we wanted to see in Old Town. We could leave our big bags when we went to Halong Bay.

It was quite noisy from the traffic (but I am sure you can't avoid that in most places).

Liked most things.Property is well centred and close to all nearby old quarter places.Spa,tours and eateries are all easily accessible from the hotel. Hotel room was small but nice for a short 3 day stay.Bed was clean and comfortable with tea/coffee and kettle provided. There was a TV.A well placed mirror with table and chair added to the comfort.Huge cupboards have plenty space to store things.AC worked well.Minibar available stocked with couple of drinks. Bathroom was good, small as well but okay.Toilet seat was hard.It was spic and span though, with toiletries and hot and cool water.Towels were clean. They cleaned room everyday. Free breakfast was good with good choices and made to order dishes.Juices, noodles, rice, eggs, toast, soup, vegetables were available.

We liked most things. But we paid for a cab to hotel for international airport departure and the cab guy dropped us at domestic airport and it was a little hassle getting to international airport at 1 am am,considering the domestic airport staff did not speak English and Grab charges around 100,000 vnd to drop off at international airport. After giving clear instructions the hotel staff didn't properly instruct the cab guy to drop us at international airport. So make sure you double check if going to airport late at night or anytime during day.

I had booked a different room for one night, and booked a room with a balcony for 2 nights later, the hotel kept my luggage safe when I went for an overnight trip, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the room was as described, the bed was super comfy, a few plug points were not working, but since i was alone it was ok an sure they would have sorted it quickly, the view from the balcony is lovely, you can also see the cathedral, the hotel is located in a tiny street, car will not enter, but everything is extremely close by, total value for money, the breakfast is also pretty decent

Everything was great

The big room on top floor with view from balcony on the (ugly) cathedral and the city, the superb bed, best we had in vietnam! Firm but certainly NOT (brick)hard like other places. We arrived really early so we had a preview of the breakfast buffet that looked very good and plentyfull as well. Next day we left even more early, too bad there was no chance to taste it. Shower is in a cabin so the toilet doesn't get wet..

Just one thing: hot water in the shower runs out pretty quick, especially when using the rainshower

Big room, nice and clean bathroom Location is perfect in the heart of the old quarter, there is everything nearby, shops, temples etc. Hosts are very friendly, the welcomed me with a tea and some fruits since I was tired from the trip The breakfast is very delicious with plenty options, fruits, coffee etc. However it's only until.09:20 available You can take a shuttle bus from the airport to go to the old quarter and then to the hotel but it takes approximately 2 hours but the hotel arranged a cheap pick up service for me (45 minutes) They are very friendly and keen to assist you, very funny and relaxed. They offer washing machine service you just need to give them your clothes

Nothing, just only the breakfast area downstairs is quite dark and will be nice to put some tables outside
