I am delighted to share my review of the San Palace Hotel in Hanoi. Choosing this hotel turned out to be the highlight of my vacation, something I didn't anticipate when making the decision. Upon my arrival at the hotel, I was assisted by the manager named Daff. Right from the beginning, she showed a genuine interest in ensuring my stay in Vietnam was exceptional. She asked about my preferences regarding places to visit and took the time to explore potential excursions with me. She then created a detailed itinerary, outlining the activities and exact timings for each day. Her meticulous planning took away all my worries, and all I had to do was be at the reception on time for my scheduled excursions. Given my tight schedule of only 6 days in Vietnam, this level of organization was invaluable. Daff also went above and beyond by providing me with packed lunches on days when time between excursions was limited. Her thoughtfulness was truly remarkable. Additionally, she recommended the best local eateries in Hanoi and shared insider tips on the most enjoyable spots to visit. Daff also provided me with valuable tips to avoid scams during my stay. The rest of the hotel staff were equally helpful and accommodating. On one occasion, I missed a bus for an excursion as it left earlier than expected. However, the hotel promptly arranged a taxi at their own expense, allowing me to catch up with the bus and join the tour. The beds were very comfortable, providing a restful sleep. In the mornings, it could get a bit noisy due to traffic, but it didn't significantly impact my overall experience. The breakfast was nice. I also enjoyed the cozy and delightful rooftop bar and the small pool at the hotel. It had just the right amount of people, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The view from up there was lovely. The hotel had a good selection of music playing, and what was even better was that it wasn't too loud.

Our recent stay at San Palace Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the incredible staff and their outstanding service. From the moment we arrived, the reception team set the tone with their warm welcome and seamless check-in process. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, ensuring every request was met with a smile and a proactive approach. The restaurant staff were equally remarkable. They attentively catered to our dietary preferences The spa was another highlight of our stay. The team provided an atmosphere of relaxation and rejuvenation, tailoring treatments to our preferences. What truly stood out throughout our visit was the consistent adaptability and attentiveness of the entire team. No request was too small or too complex; they handled everything with professionalism and genuine care. San Palace is a place where exceptional service meets heartfelt hospitality. We can’t wait to return!

Can be a bit noisy from the outside but otherwise very comfortable

We like where this hotel located.Its an easy access to walk around old quarter where u can find shops,restaurants around it.We like the breakfast buffet too.Have few nice varieties to try.We like the staffs,they are all friendly and alert to greet,extend a helping hand with the luggages.

We didnt like the skybar they have.Coz the glasses in the pool are dirty but infairness to pool water its clean though.We didnt like the size of the pool too coz its very tiny,but kids might enjoy though.Anyway the manager spoke to us amd explain that its because there area is small too which is understandable and they have plan to renovate it and we are looking forward to try it in our next visit...We didnt like also that they dont have blinds coz we cant make the room completely dark at night and also the light outside the room door coz the brightness of it get inside the room so cant make it completely dark when we sleep..

If the hotel's Stars Rating System (1* thru 5*****) would be created not formal, but with grade points weight based on the customer's convenience and pleasure to be a guest, then this hotel must have at least 4* stars. From the moment you come into a cosy Lobby and are met by naturally friendly front desk staff - to the time when you relax at the roof pool with a nice view of Saigon , your stay in this hotel is a true pleasure. The breakfast in the restaurant is very tasty with good selection of tropical fruits The staff is very enthusiastic and ready to spend time to give you a lot of useful advice. . Note. The hotel is underrated

The property was small and nestled in the heart of a busy intersection. They can pick you up and drop you off at the airport so it is very convenient. The staff is very kind and helpful as well as knowledgeable and available at all times. They gave us a welcome drink and mapped out the city for us to conveniently get around. Our room was big and had a view of the city which was lovely but the noise was a little inconvenient at night. Regardless we slept perfectly well and even slept in most days! It was truly a wonderful vacation. Due to sleeping in, we did not have breakfast but it looked like a nice setup. They have a cute small pool on the rooftop and it was a great place to vibe and people watch. We would absolutely stay again.

The only “complaint” I would have would be the room not being “soundproof” as the traffic sound was a little loud.

The breakfast was fine. We liked the choice of different ways to have eggs. Omelettes were very nice. The fresh fruit was also good to have for breakfast. Staff were friendly and willing to help with any requests we made. The bed was comfortable also.

It would be very much appreciated if the breakfast table where you have the tea and coffee jugs could also have a boiling water dispenser or Urn. The coffee jug have very strong coffee and if there was a hot water dispenser then we could add water to the drink. It would be good if there was a selection of tea bags. ( English breakfast ) tea is very popular in western countries.

Friendly and efficient hotel staff. Welcome drink was much appreciated. We were allowed to store our luggage overnight, even though we were not returning to the same hotel. Thorough welcome letter and info sheet with local restaurants and attractions. The room and bathroom were excellent; the bed was comfortable. The room included a safe and a kettle. The pool was open 24/7, with it’s own bar!! 😊 The breakfast area was small, but we did have a list of items we could order in addition.

This is a “smaller” hotel; the shower floor appeared to need some repair. Our room faced onto the main street outside, and this was quite noisy throughout the night.

The hotel is very clean, central and staff super friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and everything else. We only left Hanoi in the evening after checking out but we could leave our luggage at the lobby and where even allowed to use the rooftop pool and shower the whole day. Tracy and Mike made our stay very nice. 10/10 would recommend

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms were spacious, clean and had everything you needed. The location is great - about 2/3 walk away from being in the middle of the action. The staff are incredible - some of the best humans I’ve ever met. Macie, Tracey and the rest of the team always had a huge smile on their face and were eager to have conversations with us about our stay and how they can help in any way. One staff member even offered to drop me off on his motorbike as I wasn’t able to order a grab because of the rain which goes to show what amazing humans they all are. We were off to Ha Long Bay on our check out day and Macie packed us a box of fruit to takeaway for the journey - so thoughtful. I hope to come back to Hanoi and stay at this hotel again. Totally agree with the reviews stating 3 star hotel, 5 star service. The team in the hotel were fantastic and beyond helpful. The room was comfortable, small, but had everything we needed! Breakfast was great, very busy between 8.30 - 9.30, but replenished quickly and eggs cooked to order! Coffee is exceptionally strong!! The pool bar is fab, limited selection of soft drinks but great for us!! Location is brilliant, within a 10-15 min walk of everything we wanted to visit. Overall, a fantastic stay, made even better by the amazing team. Would definitely recommend and will return

The advertising board in the lift was very repetitive!!!!
