Great location, fabulous rooftop pool and bar and comfortable spacious room We had a really great stay at the Eden Star hotel in HCMC and one of the main reasons that made it so enjoyable were the extremely helpful efficient and friendly staff. In particular Kabi the bell man and Kevin at reception were exceptionally helpful organising onward travel and generally really nice to deal with. All hotel staff were in fact very friendly and welcoming which made our stay thoroughly enjoyable.

Location: The hotel is conveniently located with many restaurants within walking distance. Taking grab is very easy and cheap to travel from point to point. Check-in: Welcomed by the friendly smiled bellboy and front desk staff. The check in process is fast with a welcome drink and little local snacks. Room: The room is big and clean. The room decor is “old fashioned”. Having smart TV in the room with many functions however, it doesn’t have the mirroring function to iPhone. The bathtub is not useful; rain shower will be better if have. The bad thing is the room door. They should change with a soft closing door. Every guests apparently are slamming the door. Affecting sleep in the late night and early morning. The minibar is free except the wine. Housekeeping: The staff is very friendly and helpful. They even place a personalized thank you card on your desk. Breakfast: Variety of choices. To us it is a good breakfast to start the morning. The gym and spa: The gym is very small with treadmill and a few dumbbells. Don’t have bench for doing weights. Spa has a steam room n sauna. Rooftop bar and pool: The pool is at level 12 with nice breezy view. The happy hour drink is very good. The dinner price is reasonable and food is fabulous. They have wedding function at the pool and notice was given to inform the hotel guests. They even provide alternative to use the next door hotel pool. Day tour: The price a bit of the pricey. For the convenience, you can just book through the hotel. The exchange rate at the hotel is 1 usd to 22,000 dong. Not much of a difference from money changer and bank. I feel it is safer to exchange at the hotel. Overall, we enjoyed the stay at Eden Star. The staff is friendly and helpful. Keep up the excellent work. Thank you.

The bed , what's with the rock hard beds in Vietnam, doesn't cost much for a mattress toppers these days. I think if catering for western tourist this needs to be addressed and to be listed on the booking app as soft bed option

The hotel is in an excellent location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool was closed due to construction nearby but when we said we were only staying 2 nights and the pool was an important reason to choose the hotel for us and our 3 teens they accompanied us and let us swim which was great! The view from the rooftop was amazing. The bedrooms were spacious. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Vietnam - so much choice!

The bathroom was a bit ‘style over substance’. The shower was over the bath but it was impossible to stand and shower as the bath sloped down so this was very awkward! The bath seemed to be leaking Given the importance to us of the rooftop pool and rooftop bar I think we should have been notified in advance that this would be closed during our stay. Although they offered us use of their sister hotel’s pool for free this was not on the roof

High quality hotel. Modern, clean and comfortable. The buffet was decent enough. The location is excellent. The other guests were mainly families and retirees, all in all quite respectful.

There was loud music playing throughout the day from the upper floors where the hotel was hosting a conference. I complained to the staff and they moved me to a lower floor and upgraded my room. The music luckily didn’t play at night which was good. Depending on who your neighbours are you may be disturbed by their noise, the walls are not so thick, so you can hear if your neighbours are noisy or in the hallway talking or if they are using the shower next door. Otherwise a pretty quiet hotel though – especially given noise levels in Saigon.

The staff at the hotel was wonderful. We got all the support we needed. We travelled with a toddler and everyone was great around him, playing with him and making our stay so much easier. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good, with Phở and eggs served as you like (poached, scrambled, omlette). Everything was fresh and you can order coffee as well! We asked for some milk for our son, and there wasn't any problem. The swimming pool area is very nice, overlooking the city.

Our window view was on another building, which wasn't best.

Breakfast could be a little more western . But very reasonable selection . I got the Junior suite and thought a suite should have had a couch in stead of just two chairs and small coffee table and views were straight on to an ugly white building .

The hotel is in a great location, it's easy to walk to the Remnants War Museum & Ben Thanh Market for example. The street it's located on has heaps of massage shops, restaurants, cafes, food options etc. The hotel itself was lovely & clean, the staff were friendly & helpful. The rooftop pool offers some great views as well as a good food menu plus drinks (including happy hour). Our room was HUGE - it was a suite with city views & had a couch, spa bath, lots of shelving, storage - big TV with heaps of channels including Netflix. We ate quite a few meals at the hotel & they were all fantastic. We also used the gym which was functional. I would definitely book to stay here again as it exceeded my expectations. Thank you to all the hard working staff that made our 9 night stay soo memorable! You are all doing a wonderful job 😄 🫶

Spacious clean room.Lovely pool area and rooftop bar. Lovely PIano in reception. Attentive breakfast staff and bar staff. Disappointing Spa and it lacked any luxurious feel. I walked in and walked out.

So many Vietnamise breakfast dishes all too similar, ALL luke warm. Explained to staff that less is more. Warm coffee. No nice pastries. Cold pancakes. No Nutella (a must for kids) Omelette cook had all spoons and pans mixing. Not great for a vegetarian or vegan. They did cook me a special omelette in the kitchen but it took 25 minutes. Quinn (female member of staff) was very attentive and helped me with this. Too many staff not being efficient. Too much food wastage.

We loved our stay at Eden Star. It was the bit of luxury at the end of our trip. The breakfast was the best variety we had in Vietnam. The staff were incredible. Nothing too much for you to ask. We arrived early and had to leave late- they were happy to look after our bags and let us use the pool on both occasions.

Happy hour at the pools. a bit early. There was a function on at the pool on the Saturday night so we weren't able to use the pool from 4pm. This was a real blow as we had booked the hotel for this reason as a wind down. However the hotel arranged for us to use the neighbouring pool free of charge. It wasn't as nice a pool as Edens but it was an adequate substitute given the time and temperature.
