This hotel is such a great place to stay if you’re visiting HCM city! Really clean rooms and are quite big, best part is it’s right in the Center of the city! The staff are literally your family here, they would go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable and unforgettable as it gets! Jade, Daisy and Sunshine were always on their toes to give us the very best service possible!!!! All their staff are amazing. They have looked after us so well! So loving and passionate about their jobs! Breakfast is such a great variety which changes daily and can be said that it’s prepared whole-heartedly! Loved it! There we’re literally ZERO issues with our stay here and we’re really missing the amazing and exuberant team that manages this really amazing hotel. No regrets at all! Just great memories!

The gym needs a serious look into it, otherwise gets the job done.

The staff are so so so helpful! And the breakfast is really good, the best we have had in our trip. Good location. This is our second short stay here, after we initially spent a few days here at the start of our 3 weeks in Vietnam👍

Nothing much to complain about: when we stayed here last time I mentioned the loud crap music at the rooftop pool, but we didn’t go up there this time, so I can’t comment👍

Amazing couple days at this hotel for our first ever experience of Saigon. The staff are amazing, they even recognised it was my husbands birthday on our second day (photocopy of the passports) and came to the room singing with a hand written card and cake for 1. The breakfast was simply lush with a huge variety which we was not expecting. The sky bar is nice with a western price tag, if you want western comfort drink there if not I recommend plonking down on any sidewalk with plastic chairs for a beer which costs less than a £1. The location is amazing, 10 mins walk to Ben than market, surrounded by authentic eateries with plastic chairs and tables on the side walks. Would defo recommend steak and Eggs at Bo Ne a couple of minutes walk away which is a family run cafe. The hotel is only a short distance from the post office, Opera House and Cathedral however do get a grab which is only a £1 or £2, the heat is something else, do what the locals do, grab it rather than walk it. I'd also recommend visiting the market to purchase in the afternoon, it's a hard sell in the morning especially if you are the first customer, the price dictates the luck for the rest of the day for the owner so trying to barter is very hard and you could come across as rude unintentionally. We also tried Nora's Spa a few doors down, it does seem more expensive compared to most but it was worth it, lets face it, £25 for a two hour body massage is nothing to complain about, all I would say, if you are a wuss like me definitely ask for a soft massage because it bloody hurts but also essential after a busy few days of travel and seeing the city.

Warm personnel, professional. Good breakfast, pool was great, location excellent. Very, very clean. Would recommend.

Ok, so this one is not hotels fault but ours, but just to warn so you don't make the same mistake - make sure to double check what room you are booking because we booked a room with no windows, but didn't realize it until we got there 😅 and if you think that's ok, it's only a couple of days, believe me, book a room with windows 😂 There is something very wrong with waking up and not being able to tell if its night or day. Oh, and you have to sleep with air conditioning on, because it gets weirdly stuffy in these no window rooms. We managed, it's doable, but I made sure to double check every other hotel in our itinerary to avoid it at any cost for the rest of our trip 🫣

Great location, very friendly staff. Our room was rather small but not complaining for that price!

The rooftop bar is very overpriced. We were there for New Year's Eve and even though we booked a package they didn't have a table for us and we had to stand, which is not great considering the prices that are way above Vietnam standard.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating - our flight was delayed and we landed at 5am, and they were ready with our room when we arrived. The room was clean, sizable, and had nice amenities like bathrobes and soaps. The building was clean and well maintained. The rooftop pool was definitely nice for a dip after a hot day of exploring, and the hotel was very well situated for walking to various sites and neighborhoods. I have to RAVE about the AMAZING breakfast buffet - delicious western and Vietnamese food!! Overall, really great for the value.

The rooms could have been bigger, and it would have been nice if there were more pool chairs.

Great hotel right in the centre of district 1 and close to beer street. The hotel has a working lift and a sky bar giving a view across the city. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is of good quality with plenty of choice.

The gym is cramped and has few free weights, but acceptable.

Visually Happy Life has the elegance of a high end 5 star hotel, yet unique in taste. The staff were extremely attentive. The breakfast buffet was beyond expectations, providing international and local variety in abundance. The location was central walking distance to all the city center attractions. The value for the cost is exceptional and I had to make a last minute booking. Jade, the concierge was the star of the hotel. She took personal pleasure in making sure all the guests needs were fully attended to. She would always find solutions for problems utilizing people and connections she had in the city, this was in my case at least. Your problem was her problem. I consider her a friend.

I wasn't able to stay longer...that of course is not the hotels fault.

The room was a good size and very comfortable. Nice to have natural light. Breakfast was okay- certainly not the standard of other places we stayed at in Vietnam. Staff were nice.

The odour( we think air freshener ) that was used in the reception area was overwhelmingly bad for the entire 7 days of our stay. You needed to hold your breath every time that you walked through the area. Unbelievably bad. The rooftop bar was okay- didn’t really live up to its hype. Watch out when you order cocktails under their 2 for 1 time- you still get slugged two different taxes. Ouch!

More a great 3 star than a 4 star hotel, but has all you need. Clean, air conditioned rooms and helpful staff. Buffet breakfast was good and something for most diets. Rooftop pool - great views & refreshing after a day sightseeing with a few pool chairs to relax. Management need to add some “no diving signs” to better indicate the shallow depth of the pool + some mats for around the pool as gets quite slippery. Rooftop bar serving tasty drinks + great views. Outside, plenty of delicious eating/drinking options and things to see within easy walking distance or go via moped/taxi using the Grab app. Overall still a good place to stay.

Our room was compact, but most time spent outside exploring HCM. Room towels are old and too small. We ended up using pool towels instead.
