There was a heat wave in the city while I was staying here, and it was so lovely and cold inside. Great AC in the rooms, big lockers, all very clean and tidy, and the cleanest bathrooms. Very good location for places to eat, I walked half the time and could bike/taxi easily - it's on a really nice street with big trees. 10/10, would recommend.

The only downside was the club across the street playing loud music at night - I had ear plugs and noise cancelling headphones and that worked a treat.

The staff was amazing! They were incredibly helpful and were so nice🫶🏻 Both the lobby and the coworking space was really nice and the whole property felt so clean. The hotel was also very well placed, we had walking distance to almost all of the tourist attractions and so many nice restaurants. Even tho HCMC is a very busy city with all the traffic, the hotell is located a bit away from the worst noise💕

The only problem we had was that there was a small leakage in the roof in our bathroom, however we told the staff and they immediately helped us and set up a new room for us🫶🏻

Amazing place to stay in Saigon. Probably the best place I stayed in Vietnam. It's in the quieter and more relaxed northern part of District One but easily walkable to most tourist attractions. Plenty of food options around as well. The bunk beds/capsules were amazingly clean, spacious and not stuffy either. Bathrooms were also clean and modern. I liked that each shower room had a changing area right outside like they do in Japan. Staff were also friendly, professional and happy to offer any advice you need. There isn't any opportunities to socialise with other guests, but if you need a clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay, this is it.

The accommodation itself is quiet inside, but there seems to be a club nearby that plays loud music late at night and I could hear it. Another suggestion is to add a hand dryer to the bathroom to save paper! (Dyson Airblade 👍)

This is easily one of the best hotels/hostels I’ve ever stayed in, if not the best. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, and the cleanliness was absolutely impeccable. The staff was warm and welcoming, the beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable, they had free water in every floor, and the modern bathrooms even featured Japanese toilets, an unexpectedly refreshing and satisfying touch (no pun intended). The co-working space was a great addition, and they even had a slide from the first floor to the ground floor, which made the stay even more fun. And did I mention how unbelievably clean everything was?

Very well located, made it very easy to walk to many of the tourist spots and locations. The hotel booked us a tour to the Chu Chi Tunnels for a fair price. (we were first dropped off so very happy too) The breakfast isn’t located on site but behind them - the Bahn Mi served there was excellent really made my dad and I get up early in the morning for it. Definitely would recommend and will be staying again.

Only tiny mishap would be that our Twin Room - A bunk bed room was quite small. Not a problem but when viewing the double rooms it was a much bigger room. So I’d recommend either getting a double room over a bunk bed - just reminded me of my childhood so still rated it !!

Stayed in the Female Only dorm for 4 nights where there were 8 or 10 beds. The room was lovely - very spacious with lockers and plenty of storage for all. The beds were very comfortable and private, more like individual little cabins. It definitely wasn't a party hostel with the average traveller in my dorm in their 30s. Full time reception team so also felt very safe.

Towels are changed every 3 days (sooner if requested) but there was nowhere to dry your towel after a shower so it was a bit like jenga trying to hang a wet towel in the closet without getting clothes wet!

I had a wonderful stay at Meander Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City, and I can’t recommend it enough for budget travelers. The dormitory-style room I stayed in was shared with seven other people, but it was surprisingly spacious with plenty of storage space for everyone. The beds were incredibly comfortable and, despite being in a shared room, the design with privacy curtains made it feel cozy and not at all claustrophobic. The cleanliness of the hostel was also a standout. The toilets and shower rooms were spotless throughout my stay, which made for a very pleasant experience. For those who need to get work done, there’s a common workspace that’s quiet and comfortable—perfect for staying productive while traveling. One of the best things about Meander Saigon is its location. It’s close to many of Saigon’s major attractions, as well as great restaurants and cafes, making it easy to explore the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help. A special shoutout to Spring, the receptionist, who speaks excellent English and was very accommodating. Overall, for its price, this hostel offers excellent value. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City.

Very clean and modern facilities. Nice to have some privacy in the dorms and they have good lockers. Each dorm bed has its own lights for reading etc. The hostel is located close to the main areas. Also they organize a free walking tour through the city every Sunday. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to James who helped me book a bus to Da Lat, checked in with me if I arrived there and sent me some restaurant recommendations!

There’s a club/bar on the other side of the street. The loud music unfortunately kept me awake during the first night.

To me, a good place stay is somewhere that has good bathroom facilities. The shower/toilet area in Meanders is the nicest in any place I've actually ever stayed in. The showers, have big proper shower heads, with great water pressure, they have shampoo.. shower gel.. and conditioner! It's always hit and miss with hostels if they even have the first two at all. The toilets are also great, it's a bidet with heated toilet seats! And of course they're super clean, it all feels very premium. The hotel has filtered water machines, free to use to fill up your water bottles. Cold and hot water. The beds are sooo comfortable and large, I stayed in the dorm for over a week and it was bliss. The beds are big, have a good privacy curtain, light and and single socket as standard. The rooms also come with secure lockers that are opened with a key card, no need for a lock, which is always nice. The room also has a large commercial aircon, that you can control, so the room was always at a nice cool temperature and it was easy to sleep at night. The top floor does have a rooftop bar but I'm not a big drinker so I didn't use it. The hostel does have a kitchen with a fridge and stove top so if you want to cook for yourself you can, however the hostel is located in such a good location with many affordable and delicious Japanese restaurants that I ate out all the time and maybe got a little bit fat.. The staff are the stars of the show though and for my nearly 2 weeks in total staying here it has become my favourite place to stay. Meanders became my home in Saigon. It's very affordable, the dorms here are not much more then the dorms in the centre, but you get what you pay for, the comfort, the cleanliness and the service make it worth the money!

The lobby which is lovely doesn't have an automatic front door so it usually gets left open and the consequence of that is that the lobby is full of mosquitoes. It's only a problem because I like to wear shorts and I get bitten a lot but that's the only thing I didn't like.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Being able to store your luggage was a great service (I didn’t use the service, but they also have laundry service). They have filtered water machines for your refillable water bottles. The location was within walking distance of many restaurants, shopping, and tourist sights. The lockers were plenty big and were key card locked. Oh, and stairs to get to the upper bunks was nice, rather than a ladder.

It’s personal preference, but I think the pillows were a bit too full for me. If you sleep on your side, they are great.
