Even before arriving in Hoi An, we received a lot of useful information related to our stay from Hien, the front desk officer at Bean Grass Homestay. The homestay is located in a quiet part of Hoi An; yet, it is only about 10-15 minute walk away from the old town, which makes it a great base for exploring local attractions. In addition, for a small fee of 30 000 VND per day (less than 1.5 USD), it is possible to rent bicycles there to extend the range of explorations. Our triple room looked pretty much exactly like the pictures on the Booking.com website. The room was cleaned every day, including the change of towels, and the beds were comfortable. During our stay at Bean Grass Homestay, Hien was super helpful and gave us great assistance with organizing various day trips and other activities in the area. Thanks to her, we were able to get the best out of our trip to Hoi An :-)

I liked everything about the homestay. Hein was the sweetest person I’ve met in Vietnam. She honestly sorted everything out for us from the moment we arrived. She booked cheap bus tickets, tours and gave us recommendations etc. She even warned us about how to not get scammed and how much to pay for things around hoi an. Her recommended tailor was good and very cheap as well. We extended our stay because we loved hoi a first of all and then Hein treatment made us stay longer honestly sweetest person ever. We had 2 single beds room with balcony, WiFi was good, they cleaned our room everyday. Deffo recommended bean grass homestay.

Nothing, everything was perfect

Everything was great! From the friendliness of the host to the superfast wifi. The room is spacious, they're clean and even cleaned every day! So happy that the shower was separated from the toilet. The bed was huge and the mattress really confortable. Except from a few friendly chicken sounds it was super quiet. Location perfect, quiet but still close to restaurants and the city centre. Free bikes to use. I can go on and on, this was the perfect place for us to stay longer (ended up staying for 12 nights!) and relax and enjoy Hoi An. Bean Grass Homestay is highly recommended!

Really can't think of anything, except maybe that it can get a little humid/damp on the bottom floors (this goes for the whole city of Hoi An i think). We were moved to the top floor and didn't notice it anymore.

Although only 10mins walk from the Old City this homestay is in a quiet corner backing onto an orchard. Our balcony was shaded by a large tree. A welcome respite from the traffic even if the chickens wake early! The room was a good size with nice bathroom and good Aircon. Breakfast at 75k dong was excellent, either western or local And a big thanks to the staff, especially the manager Ms Hien who is helpful and charming. She arranged a good price for a private trip to My Son and made useful suggestions for other sites and tailors.

Location, cleanliness, pricing and spaciousness were all wonderful at the homestay! We would highly recommend this location for people who want to be a little further from the action but 10-15 minute walk to Old Town was easy peasy. We had old free bikes to ride around. We tried to get a moped at the location, but for 100,000 Dong, the motorbikes either didn't lock or the brake didn't work so we ended up going elsewhere to rent a motorbike that was newer and was better overall. If you don't want them to clean your room every day, make sure to tell the hostess as she's insistent on entering to give you new towels. Also, they will shut off your AC and you will end up coming back to a hot room. Make sure you tell them firmly that you do not want your room "cleaned" and can come out to ask for clean towels, garbage bags or TP and they will provide you.

One other thing I felt a little weird was the host usually kinda watches you come in and out. I understand it's her home, and maybe to make sure everything is okay but it was a little weird for my wife. There's a very fine line between being friendly and being nosy. The host is very friendly and accommodating but it always felts a little "watched" and this is the first time we felt this way at a homestay. I guess if it was your home, maybe you would do the same thing?

We love Hanoi and it such a beautiful town. The best home stay we stayed. The room is very clean and the bed is comfy. Location is so close to the shops Restaurants and Old town. And most of all thanks to Hien for all the help booking our flights, taxi, laundry and never ending Restaurants suggestions. The owner are nice too and even woke up early to say goodbye to us.

Nothing at all

Bean Grass has a warm homely feel about it. The location is good and it's peaceful (neighbours have roosters but there's triple glazing and they didn't disturb). It's about a 15 min walk to the most touristy parts - just right. The room was spotlessly clean and made up every day. It's a proper shower with lots of pressure and hot water. I really enjoyed staying here. They also directed me to a great tailors Thanh Tú) to get a suit made. It has only 5* reviews on Google and I'm very happy with the result. I needed a driver to Da Nang station and the guy they use - Mr Ra - is really pleasant and efficient with great English.

Perfect location, in a quiet small alley, peaceful place. I checked-in before midday. Good size room with cute small balcony. Big bed, different, nice bathroom, hot shower. Mini (but ok)hairdryer. TV, good picture quality with dozens of channels (only few in English, no News), A/C (never used) and...large size slippers. WiFi signal was good.Room cleaned every day (without even asking), bed made-up, towels changed, rubbish removed. You keep the key so can go and come anytime you want. Free bicycles to use. Friendly Reception lady.

There is electric kettle but no free water, coffee/tea. Shower's hot water not always hot but not really cold.

this is a really really nice homestay. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed is soft, the AC is strong (not that you need it in January) and the shower is hot and powerful. The room has good sound proofing for Asia so you are not disturbed by outside sounds. I would definitely stay here again.

The property is super clean, all facilities function very well, the wifi is very good. The hotel is in a small street, so it is very calm, the only « noise » would be roosters but it didn’t really bother us. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, when we arrived, she took a map and noted all the stuffs we could visit and do during our stay and recommended restaurants too. I definitely recommend this homestay !

We got the room on the ground floor, as it’s on the ground floor it’s humid and the room smells moistures. The smell was gone within a day though. Still I would recommend to book higher floors’ rooms.
