We really loved our stay here. We couldn’t find any faults to the place and the owners were lovely and so helpful. Not only it is cheaper than most similar properties, but the attention the owners paid to maintaining the place neat and clean is unmatched. The rooms are spacious and well stoked with space for depositing luggage, hanging clothes etc. The pool was great, clean, the garden is wonderful, full of plants and very well looked after. Lastly, the location is excellent - on a very quiet street by the lake, yet only a 3 minutes walk from the touristic centre of the town.

Absolutely no faults. Don’t think twice before booking, they could charge double what they do and I would still go!

Tam Coc and Thanh Dat Homestay felt like a small peaceful paradise with a pool and palm trees next to the city lake and in the middle of such stunning natural wonders as the Mua Caves and Viewpoint and Trang An. Both of which are located just a few minutes ride away on a scooter (5 and 10min respectively). The property itself couldn’t be nicer, our room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious. Our hosting family very sweet, attentive and helpful. We arranged for a scooter and also the night bus to Hue with them. Laundry is optionally available. Despite the vast choice of accommodation options, Tam Coc Thanh Dat Homestay is a true gem and felt like a treat on our (so far) 6 months trip across South East Asia. Highly recommended.

it was really clean and the bungalow was nice. the location was perfect: right next to the street with all the restaurants, at the riverside and situated in a lovely neighborhood. the owner and his family were really precious and helped me out a tom: they booked a nice one day trip for me and gave me suggestions on what to do on the second day (sights and restaurants). after check-out, they stored my luggage and let me take a shower in a separate bathroom right before my bus was arriving. they booked the bus to phong nha for me, drove me to the bus station and didn‘t leave until i was seated in the right one. everytime i had a question, i got a reply in whatsapp in a couple of minutes. i felt very safe and welcome. highly recommend!

Our stay was amazing. I highly recommend you to book with this beautiful family. We arrived very early in the morning around 4 am and it was super cold. Everything was closed, I called to the hostel and they immediately offered us a room to stay for couple of hours. At midday we changed to the room we have booked. They offered a great breakfast than usually is included in the rate, and they have also the possibility to rent bikes and motorbikes (very good price). The location cannot be better, just in the middle of everything but far enough to be in a quiet place. The room was perfect and they were changing towels every day. We will come back for sure!

The host family was very welcoming. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious, airy and very clean. Fresh towels were provided each morning. The breakfast options were varied and delicious. The pool was refreshing!! So amazing to find a cooler water pool after 3 months of hotter than outside pools. The location was quiet and only a 2 minute walk to the town, behind the main street and just opposite the lake. We booked one night through booking and extended an extra two nights with the host.

I would have appreciated if the pool were a little bit cleaner, specifically the tiles.

Perfect location, 5 min walk to restaurants, boat tour and activities. Spacious and clean room that suited our family of 5. Ac functional and hot water with good pressure. Delicious breakfast with coffee, tea, juice, fruits and one choice per person of fried noodles, egg and bread or pancake. Host Family is super friendly and helpful. They can help you organise tours or bus transfers if you need. Great value for money

Nothing regarding the property however the lot next door is having some construction done so you can hear a little bit of noise during the day but it’s super quiet at night.

Fabulous homestay! Lovely owners, beautiful garden, comfortable bungalow and the best homestay breakfast we’ve had! It’s a few minutes walk to the town centre and lake but is on a quiet street with other homestays, cafes and restaurants. Tam Coc is in a wonderful area and it’s easy to cycle around the area to see the countryside. We cycled to Trang An for a boat ride there, which is about 10 km, and another day we cycled to Hang Mua to walk up the steps- the view is worth it!

The bathroom is a little old-fashioned but did the job! The first photo on Booking.com doesn’t show the homestay- it’s 200m down the lane to the left.

We arrived way too early (4:30am) at the homestay, as our bus dropped us way earlier than expected. After waiting outside on the terrace for a bit, a woman saw us waiting and decided to wake someone to check us in at 5 in the morning while we only booked a room for the next night. Even though we felt a bit guilty, we couldn’t be happier as they offered a room for a minor fee. This was an example for the rest of our stay, as everyone working here took great care of us: booking a bus, renting a bike, cooking breakfast and even doing our laundry within 12 ours as we only booked 1 night. Overall excellent stay with perfect people.

Excellent place to stay in Tam Coc! - great location, 5 min walk to Tam Coc boat tour - 5 min walk to all the restaurants - staff was friendly and always available and willing to help - scooter rental - water bottle refill - clean room, really comfy, good shower. - our bus arrived 3 hours early (at 5am) and they had our room ready by 7, thanks for that guys! - the lightening in the room is great! White or warm lights to choose from :) - very nice pool, super clean

- the A/C is pointing straight to the bed and it’s a bit hard to adjust. You’re either too cold or hot if you turn it off. - no mosquito nets on the window. It’s a shame because it’d be nice to get some of the fresh air from outside - towels are a bit worn (Just to mention something, but our stay was still great!)

Basic property but it has all that you need for a few nights in tam coc. The family who own the place are lovely and very keen to make sure you have everything you need. The place is located in tam coc town so it is a little noisy but very close to the restaurants

The room was very cold when I stayed in December and the hot water was not very warm but that’s my only complaint! The staff went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed, gave lots of suggestions and recommendations for the area and helped with onward travel to Huê. I recommend anyone to stay here
