The 6 bed mixed dorm with en suite bath was fairly large and had comfortable beds. There was a bed light, individual wall outlets and 2 pouches attached to the wall beside the electrical outlets which conveniently would store a phone and glasses. The en suite bath used 2 rooms at the dorm entrance - 1 for a toilet , bidet, and sink with mirror; the other was a stall shower. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. No included breakfast - but free tea, matte,and instant coffee are always available on the lobby level. The pool was small but very clean. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and helpful. I was very pleased to learn that if you leave for a few days and book your return at Circus Hostel., there is a storage room where you can store bags not taken while you are away. The hostel has an elevator to reach the dorm rooms. The kitchen area has a reasonable amount of cooking devices, but the amount of dishware and utensils is lacking.

The shower "room" did not have a raised lip to contain the water coming from the shower head to be contained in the shower area, so you couldn't place anything on the opposite side of the shower head and curtain from getting wet. There is no table or shelf to place a toilet kit from getting wet. No microwave oven in the kitchen. A couple of the plastic pool chairs are cracked or missing pieces - normal wear and tear.

Location in San Telmo is near Plaza de Mayo and Caminito in La Boca, but quite far from Palermo (another important area of town with many sights). Sections of San Telmo neighborhood are not always safe after dark. The hostel is well-organized and managed. Checking in and payment went smoothly. Staff speaks English. There is an elevator and my room -though small- was comfortable with shower and separate toilet. In addition to the common space near the pool on the ground floor, there is a kitchen with a big table and a spacious lounge area as well on fifth floor (rooftop). Most of the time it is quiet there! Wifi worked well and the place is kept clean.

They allow people with a snoring disorder to sleep in the dormitory. Just one person ruined night rest of all other guests. I escaped to the roof and had a couple of hours of sleep on a sofa. The others did not sleep at all. The kitchen is ill-equipped. There are only two very big pots (for family dinners?). The stove runs on electricity and has four spots to cook, but only two are functional. Moreover, it takes a long time to heat up anything (15 minutes or more, before you can start cooking). There are no bowls, or deep plates. So you end up eating your soup out of a very big pot. No towel included in the price.

Great, central location close to shops, bars and restaurants. The room was basic but clean. The staff were very helpful with 24 hour assistance. The shared kitchen is on the 5th floor with outside seating. Didn't have the breakfast but if wanted it was only USD4. There was a hairdryer available at reception. Lots of different age groups. I would say very good value for money as got a special rate on booking.com.

Would have liked a television in the room but there was a TV in the shared lounge area so probably helps keep the cost down.

Pretty much everything. Most staff were accommodating and provided us with detailed information including bus numbers or subway instructions for travelling around the city. We felt very safe in the area of San Telmo and within Circus Hostel.

Staff at the desk when we first arrived (later in the evening) could have been a little more forthcoming in letting us know what was available. It wasn't until the next day that someone just happened to mention the full kitchen on the 5th floor. The kitchen could use more dishes (especially bowls and smaller plates). When we arrived, the room was really hot and the ac was unplugged because it wasn't working. My husband finally got a box of remotes (after an employee tried really hard to get the ac unit working) and was able to start the unit so it would run beyond a minute. He also fixed a problem with the louvers.

The hostel's location is perfect for walking between San Telmo, the Microcentro and La Boca! The accommodation is clean, the patio with the pool is very pleasant, as is the kitchen terrace. The people at reception are really exceptional, helping me whenever I had questions or needed help!

The only downside would be to have a little more kitchen equipment, but frankly, that's a plus!

Don’t expect luxury. It’s an old hostel. It has what is needed for your stay. Rooms are small, they do not have a TV. In the other hand, it’s very well situated, closed to restaurants, cafes, Sundays fair, San Telmo’s mercado with plenty of little coffee shops and places to eat and shop. The staff was friendly and courteous. The pool an the TV room we’re fun to be to have coffee/tea or a glass of wine in the evening.

Needs sone remodeling of the rooms and better furniture at the TV room.

Great location in san Telmo. Comfortable and clean. A good base to leave your stuff and explore but not to spend time in the hostel.

Kitchen is poorly stocked with essentials. Like a good pan, fork, knife. The basics. Wifi was in and out. Power was off a couple times which was likely out of their control but they didn’t seem to care if you had to find your way in the dark. Staff rarely even say Hola when you walk in. They just stare at their phone.

The room was good size. We had a private bathroom and heater. The room was cleaned every day. There was a kitchen on the 5th floor that we could use. The location was very good. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The bed and the pillow weren't very comfortable. There was a lot of noise in the morning and sometimes during the night.

Relatively quiet hostel in a nice area with lots of coffee bars and restaurants. Facilities are all decent and clean and there is a small pool outside. The rooms are a bit dated but fair value for price.

Could do with a little painting and small maintenance

It was so pleasant to stay here. It is more like a hotel than a hostel! Comfortable, very clean with great facilities and nice staff. I liked the kitchen at top floor and lobby lounge area with pool view. Excellent location in San Telmo. My room was spacious, clean with good quality sheets and towels, good bed and bathroom, nice view. And the price is very reasonable.
