What a gem! We booked the last minut holidays with my son through booking.com. When we arrived, it was easy to check in as all information were on the confirmation email. We found our Cottage nr 24 which was nice and cosy, with good quality kitchenette facilities and bathroom toiletries. There was even a choice of hard and soft pillow to choose. It was great to learn about the history of the Estate and the Convict Cottage that we stayed in. The grounds were beautiful with agapanthus flourishing around and we even played frisbee on perfectly mowed grass and golf on paddocks overlooking the vineyard and the famous mountain. The wine is worth recommendation and also nice and professional service both in Cellar Door and the Reception. It's easy 3min drive to the nearest beach and to the shop. We will definitely come back! Thank you for hosting us!

I liked the amount of space. It was very spacious and check in was easy. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioner was already on when we arrived. This was appreciated as it was a hot summer day. Kitchen was well equipped, and being a winery there was lovely grounds to explore. Pool and tennis courts were available as well. Smart TV was great as well. Checkout time on Sundays is noon.

The kitchen cupboards need to be replaced. The ceiling in upstairs bedroom needs repainting as fine dust was falling from it onto my pillow, bed and bedside table. Nothing major but a coat of paint would brighten the place. I wouldn’t spend more than 2 nights there just because the furniture and fittings are quite dated. But a weekend there is perfect.

I loved how the stable was refreshed into an accommodation location. The room was clean and tidy and it felt very private. The location was perfect for our intentions of visiting the nearby Bowling Club for a concert.

The smoke detector in the room was extremely sensitive. Upon my wife using a hair straightener it kept activating. In saying that I understand the requirement and if it there was danger it would be very helpful. I guess deactivating it was the troublesome part.

Got put into a room with one bed, reception were understanding and quickly moved us into a different room. Upstairs room with a slanted roof and separate bedroom, rather quaint. Two large mirrors in the bathroom. There was a pedestal fan, that did come in handy. Had AC as well. Blackout kit always a nice touch.

Road noise more prominent as building was adjacent to road. At times the other people were audible, but it’s to be expected in any accommodation.

The staff at Coolangatta Estate were simply lovely & super helpful nothing was too much trouble for them.Every building is historic & unique & has been sensitively updated but still reflects the original use.The beautiful timber & brickwork in many of the areas creates a special ambience. I stayed in the "Stables" with a beautiful outlook over the valley to the misty mountains.Little touches like the converted vintage kerosine light hanging from the beautiful timber ceiling evoked memories of peaceful times spent at pony camp with couches replacing the hay bales & the comfy bed was wonderful after a long drive.Super soft towels & nice spa soaps were a bonus. I enjoyed exploring the property on the self guided tour & the local produce available at the cellar was delicious. The wine tasting & platters were perfect for relaxing at the Estate & a cozy fire in one of the main areas was perfect .A shuttle bus was available to the local RSL which was helpful for a meal during the week.Visits from the little skinks (small lizards)were certainly a bit different but we were told they would possible appear so were enchanted to see them pop in & out around the Estate. I appreciated the emergency bag thoughtfully placed in each room which contained a torch, candles & matches so even with Berry in darkness we at least had light . Nothing fazed the staff & they did such a magnificent job when there was a total power outage for the whole district .I was staying to attend a relatives wedding & the power went out just after entree.Dozens of candles & beautiful tea lights appeared within seconds & the staff carried on without missing a beat. They managed to produce the complete dinner somehow & the bride & groom remained stress free & could continue to enjoy their special day.The staff remained calm & had everything running to schedule.

A double adapter to allow the microwave to run without turning anything off would've been nice.

Fantastic location for a quiet getaway. Had an awesome Sommelier Michell who took us thru our wine tasting! Very knowledgeable about the Estate history and it’s wines! Quite clearly loves his job! He was one of the highlights of our visit! Beautiful surroundings, relaxing stay!

We had the Basic room which had all you need however there was no where to put toiletries and things in the bathroom.

The room was well set up, spacious, quiet and comfy. The pool was lovely to swim in. The grounds were gorgeous to walk around. Close to beach, Nowra, Berry and Kiama.

Couldn't close or open bathroom window - was slightly open entire stay - therefore small flying bugs were present. As room was unserviced during stay, needed some extra towels and a larger bin but this was a minor inconvenience . Not many shops at Shoalhaven Heads but was close to Berry, Kiama and Nowra.

The location is great if you have a car. The cellar door was fun and the few staff members I encountered were all lovely and helpful. The accommodation is quirky - all in very old structures with some history.

The rooms we had (in the old Stables) haven't been upgraded for a long time. Both rooms were tired, and could do with a bathroom renovation. Room furniture doesn't hit the brief of being comfortable at the same time as being period pieces.

We loved our heritage accomodation in Room 7 of the Old Plumbers shop. Our bed was comfy, we had a huge space with lounges and cute rustic kitchenette with table and chairs. It was warm and the bathroom was very roomy too. We ate in the restaurant and had excellent meals and also enjoyed drinks in front of the open fire. Bliss! The staff were friendly and fabulous too.

Nothing. We absolutely loved our stay.
