I've been to the Hunter many a times but this was our first stay at Harrigan's. I must admit I am impressed, and why had I not been here before, it has everything you need! What a wonderful little "resort/motel/hotel/village" an all in one! Complete with a pool, vineyards as your backyard to explore, a pub, club and a bottle shop. The food and service is very good, loved the atmosphere. We stayed only one night but if I were to stay for a week Harrigan's is the place to be.

The room is clean, and bathroom generally clean but the mould on shower recess could be cleaned better.

I like the atmosphere of being attached to a lively pub and it was St Patricks day - so a great venue for that.

I didn't like having to check in at the Mercure - this is weird AND I was only told about it the day before. If I have to check in at the mercure, Next time I would just stay at the mercure. Also - I ordered a takeaway chicken snitzel - the chips were old and soggy and the amount of sauce to have with it was pathetic. Also, because I am staying in the hotel - I should be able to have a normal plate and proper cutlery

Sensational stay!!! I have travelled the world and your luxurious pillow top beds are in the top 2 most comfortable I have ever slept in my 55 years & we will be back! Just wonderful friendly customer service, stunning comfort, gorgeous vineyard views, warm character ie fireplace (to enjoy during winter) spa bath, good shower head, sensational ducted air cond., irish pub / venue for delicious meals and drinks - the full package! Please pass this feedback onto your wonderful staff team and we wish you all a very merry Christmas & sensational 2024 - where we will book the same room again! 5 stars! Kind regards. We stayed for 2 nights over the weekend. The location is excellent as it is central to the vineyards and activities that we had planned. It was convenient to have accommodation next to the pub so food and entertainment was readily available. Sat night was quite busy and there was some noise during the night but was to be expected. The hotel supplied ear plugs for those who need to soften the noise :-). Sunday was much quieter. The king size bed was one of the most comfortable I have had during a hotel stay and large TV was welcomed to watch the footy finals as hotel was somewhat busy for the same and other reasons. Great undercover parking out the front of your room in most cases, certainly was for ours.

The room was as expected, a typical hotel/motel room however the comfort was unexpected in a good way. The sliding doors to the terrace need some maintenance but nothing else to say.

Good suite layout, large bedrooms & bathroom, plenty of cupboard space, fireplace was lovely in winter, location is perfect, live music Friday & Saturday nights didn’t bother us at all. Great option for family of 4 or 2 couples wanting to stay together. Mini fridge was sufficient for wine bottles & cans but if you’re bringing food as well, maybe consider an esky.

With 4 adults staying, living room could use 2 small couches otherwise 2 people are left trying to relax on upright dining chairs. Firewood should be delivered before the cleaning crew as there was splintered pieces of wood all over the carpet so we had to keep our shoes on inside. Room decor could use an upgrade - furnishings, carpet & paint is all looking a bit tired.

Fantastic location, great value for money, staff are amazing! The pub has great food, just have to book in advance to reserve a table. We loved it.

Honestly, our only issue was the mattresses may need to be changed as ours were extremely soft and we sunk into the bed, but if you love a super soft bed, it’s great! Wasn’t too much of a big deal because we still slept great! We would still stay again.

The location was perfectly situated next door to the hunter valley gardens as well as a block away from a wonderful street of wineries and confectionery/chocolate factories. The room was lovely and even had its own balcony to which had a fireworks display visible on Saturday night. The staff were very accomodating. Lovely little spot for meals that were reasonably priced and family Friendly (they have kids colouring packs as well as a decent menu).

On Saturday night it was very noisy until 11pm (they did supply water plugs but getting little ones to wear them wasn’t an option). Visible mould growing in the shower, ceiling and bugs trapped in a spider web as well as mould in the skylight. Lastly, they do not offer real coffee to be made prior to 10am as it’s part of the bar section.

We loved our stay at Harrigans, We had 9 of us in 3 x suites, and they were amazing. Big massive spa bath, massive bedrooms, and the log fire was stacked. All you needed to do was light it. The $25 massive breakfast included all you could ever want for breakfast. The receptionist at the accommodation, the young guy that seated us for dinner, the attendent in the bottle shop, the F&b attendant that served us breakfast on the Saturday, everyone was so accomadating and friendly. Gorgeous, spacious outdoor spaces, heaps of outdoor heaters for those chilly nights. They had earbuds in the room in case the noise was too much. A band both nights. Honestly, I could keep going. We will be back!!

loved the pub and the convenience of dinner, music and coffee.

although everything is accessible and wonderful. I feel the rooms are in need of renovation. I did have an issue the first night with noise vibrating thru the wall, right where I was sleeping. it sounded like a generator and turned on and off continuously throughout the night. every three minutes! needless to say I got almost no sleep. I spoke with the lady on reception who assured me the maintenance man would take a look. Also the screen door fell off as I opened it. I wasn’t hurt and it wasn’t a problem. The lady at reception was great and when I returned to my room, the generator sound was gone and the door was put back on. so grateful as I got a good sleep

Harrigan’s is in a great location for all things Hunter Valley. The room was spacious with comfortable beds, clean spacious bathroom and even a private courtyard. Staff were friendly and helpful. There were ample supplies in the bathroom and for tea/coffee. Would definitely recommend anyone needing reasonably priced accommodation in the Hunter.

The music from the pub was quite loud til midnight, but earplugs were supplied. Would only bother someone sensitive to noise.
