Leisure Inn is close to the wineries where we took our first stop in Hop In Hop off bus tour. Close to Hunter Valley Gardens where we spent a good afternoon stroll and Roche Estate doing some wine tastings at Tempus Two and Merrea Park. Our room’s apartment was situated near the lake behind the apartment clusters. My son had a good time feeding ducks and chasing birds. We even saw some kangaroos at sunset! The beds were very comfy and clean. I am very particular with the smell and I did not smell any foul or stink. Tv and airconditioner works fine. Wifi was very strong. They already turned on the heater that was pretty cool when we got there. There were complete kitchen utensils, used them to cook breakfast and warm our dinner. If it was not winter, we could have had a dip in the nearby pool beside the cafe. The playground was a nice way to spend the time while we were waiting for our cab.

The hot and cold showers were not working properly. Either you get a really hot shower or a really cold one. Maybe a small carton of milk in the fridge will be good to have to complement coffee.

We usually stay here as we often head up to the Hunter Valley to attend an event at the Hunter Valley Gardens. This hotel is within walking distance (although we usually drive there). It has an amazing pool that my kids adore, as well as a play area and lots of space on the property where the wildlife will come up to your room. We had ducks last visit and kangaroos the one before that. The rooms themselves have all we need and are comfortable but they could probably do with a freshen up.

Little things like there being limited bench space in the bathroom, not enough hooks in the bathroom, issues with the TV that needed someone from reception to help out. Nothing to make me not want to come back - they just probably need to look at doing some upgrades over the next few years.

Returned to Leisure Inn for another stay. Again very happy with the latest stay. Property is located in very central position in Pokolbin. Villa was good size, clean and well equipped with microwave, TV, DVD player, tea and coffee making facilities. Bed was very comfortable. Free wi-fi is also available. Really appreciated the spa bath in the villa as I was suffering from back pain at the time of our visit (not helped by the boxes of wine we purchased during our stay). A nice, comfortable, affordable stay. Property also features pool and tennis court although we did not have time to use them.

Dining facilities at the property are limited but there are numerous restaurants and cafes in Pokolbin.

The cafe was open for dinners at the time we stayed and the meals were good old family type meals at a very competitive price. we did not expect this as the website indicated it was only open for breakfasts so this was a great surprise and saved us having to find somewhere else for meals on one of our nights.

The table in our room was a little small but this was not a deal breaker by any means. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and was a good central location in Pokolbin

Spacious and private. Resort made up of a serious of semi-detached cottages (only 2 together - with adjoining door for bigger groups) each with a different aspect across the semi-rural landscape which gave the impression of seclusion. My cottage looked over a expanse of grass to the dam. Lovely to wake up to

If I had to find a fault, I would point out that it was a 50m distance to carry luggage from the car to the cottage, and parking was not defined so people parked wherever they chose and some at funny angles

the location is good as it is within walking distance of some nice restaurants, cellar doors and some small shops. the apartments are like separate little huts, two apartment per hut, which is good as it provides some privacy

i booked two rooms for this stay, our rooms were in different huts. they could have easily been put next to each other. not so much an issue for us, more of an inconvenience, but if a family were to have rooms apart I can imagine this would be an issue.

Good location, convenient to cellar doors, restaurants & the Gardens without too many crowds. The natural bush setting was very relaxing. Had all appliances needed for a short stay.

The room was a bit cramped around the bed area. The wifi was patchy. Even though we inquired with the reception about the bottle of wine & the 2 containers of snack bars in the fridge and were told that they were complimentary, we were charged an extra $25 after we departed. A request for a credit, after our explanation, was ignored.

Beautiful area, nice pool & nice rooms.

I stayed for 2 weeks for work, it would have been nice if reception checked in with me regarding housekeeping, I was the one that had to arrange for housekeeping to come to clean room. Also I requested a quite room due to shift work & they put me right next to a main road which then required ear plugs to sleep, they did offer to move me after 3 days but my fridge was already full of food & I had settled in so I chose to stay.

it was located in the right area. Easy to walk to a few places.

I was under the impression 1 lot was your whole room but it wasn’t so we were a little disappointed as we could literally hear the people in the next room our entire stay. everything they did, we heard. The description of our room was that it was a king bed and the photos seemed a little updated. we got 2 singles pushed together. overall, we were still alright because it was a great price for a great location.

Handy to wineries and restaurants. Would be good if you had access to a bar on site.

A week after checkout they are still holding our $50 deposit. Would like for it to come off ‘pending’ on my credit card. Also received many email reminders to Check-in early using a link which wanted me to download ID ( not comfortable doing that) and you couldn’t enter your mobile into the mobile phone field.
