The apartment was nice: large, clean, everything worked,. The location is in the centre of Pokolbin so it's within walking distance of a couple of wineries, the cheese factory, a few distilleries, the Hunter Valley Gardens and the Irish Pub, so there's no need for a designated driver, and everyone can join in the tasting fun. To compensate, it's a nice 2.5hr hike up from Tinklers wines at Pokolbin Mountains Rd to Mount Bright Lookout (watch out for snakes in the horse paddock).

The cafe/restaurant is a separate business and was closed over New Year's, so no breakfast available, BYO.

Excellent location, very handy to a huge variety of cellar doors, restuarants, & gourmet food stores. Resort grounds were beautifully maintained & the 1bedroom apartment was spotless. Self catering was easy, but you will need to take all your own supplies except for tea bags / coffe granules, salt satchets & a tiny milk carton which were kindly supplied. We picked all our food up in Cessnock on the way through, but ended up eating out as there were so many great options nearby. We had an amazing lunch at the Ben Ean Estate in their Baume restuarant & can't recommend it more highly. Be warned though - the portion sizes are enourmous, including the delicious desserts, & are designed to be shared by 2.

Nothing to complain about here at all. The stay exceeded our expectations & we'd happily stay again.

Perfect location, good price with good deals, private and clean.

Not enough parking spaces and/or no limit of cars per booking. We had a late night out for dinner and when we returned, we found more cars than apartments in our area, causing us to decide to either park in a no parking area or out the front of the lobby which was disappointing. Also they don’t state the apartments are halved so yes you have your own villa to yourself but share a wall with others so wasn’t as private as first anticipated.

We had breakfast on Sunday at the inn and we found the a few challenging things. When the four of us were at breakfast- we were the only ones in the cafe and we turned the radio down a little. When the waitress came back she turned the music up and we explained we turned it down a little - she was not happy. Then while we were eating breakfast- again only four of us in the cage, the waitress started vacuuming- we could not believe it!! We were nearly finished eating!!

Ideal overnight stay (work trip over Easter). Nice enough room with everything I needed. I would stay again (2 nights minimum next time) so I could take proper advantage of the amenities. After hours check in was fairly easy. Beautiful scenery by a lake and I woke to a pristine sunrise with hot air balloons above.

Too short a stay to properly comment. My only feedback would be for staff to ensure they spell guests names correctly for the after hours check in/ envelope situation. This caused a little bit of confusion at first thinking I may have picked up someone else's room key. A LOT of SMS communication leading up to the booking however I guess that required due to a peak weekend and public holidays.

We usually stay here as we often head up to the Hunter Valley to attend an event at the Hunter Valley Gardens. This hotel is within walking distance (although we usually drive there). It has an amazing pool that my kids adore, as well as a play area and lots of space on the property where the wildlife will come up to your room. We had ducks last visit and kangaroos the one before that. The rooms themselves have all we need and are comfortable but they could probably do with a freshen up.

Little things like there being limited bench space in the bathroom, not enough hooks in the bathroom, issues with the TV that needed someone from reception to help out. Nothing to make me not want to come back - they just probably need to look at doing some upgrades over the next few years.

Leisure Inn is close to the wineries where we took our first stop in Hop In Hop off bus tour. Close to Hunter Valley Gardens where we spent a good afternoon stroll and Roche Estate doing some wine tastings at Tempus Two and Merrea Park. Our room’s apartment was situated near the lake behind the apartment clusters. My son had a good time feeding ducks and chasing birds. We even saw some kangaroos at sunset! The beds were very comfy and clean. I am very particular with the smell and I did not smell any foul or stink. Tv and airconditioner works fine. Wifi was very strong. They already turned on the heater that was pretty cool when we got there. There were complete kitchen utensils, used them to cook breakfast and warm our dinner. If it was not winter, we could have had a dip in the nearby pool beside the cafe. The playground was a nice way to spend the time while we were waiting for our cab.

The hot and cold showers were not working properly. Either you get a really hot shower or a really cold one. Maybe a small carton of milk in the fridge will be good to have to complement coffee.

Natasha, the manager, was superb with us. We had a bad night sleep on our first night and I asked to be moved to a quieter room which she graciously did for me and put us in an upgraded 1 bedroom on the lake. It was so wonderful to be treated so well by Natasha and I am very grateful as my sleep in the new room was wonderful! Thank you again for being so very professional, listening to me and helping us out during our stay!

Returned to Leisure Inn for another stay. Again very happy with the latest stay. Property is located in very central position in Pokolbin. Villa was good size, clean and well equipped with microwave, TV, DVD player, tea and coffee making facilities. Bed was very comfortable. Free wi-fi is also available. Really appreciated the spa bath in the villa as I was suffering from back pain at the time of our visit (not helped by the boxes of wine we purchased during our stay). A nice, comfortable, affordable stay. Property also features pool and tennis court although we did not have time to use them.

Dining facilities at the property are limited but there are numerous restaurants and cafes in Pokolbin.

Cosy villa style suite with seperate bedroom, bathroom & kitchenette facilities. Nice and quiet.

We had to change villas due to a noisy fridge that was in need of defrosting or replacing, and a smoke alarm that activated loudly during our first night. Big thanks to the staff who organised this swiftly.
