Everything went well and it was very good value for money. After arriving we had a very good dinner downstairs. There was a bar fridge with milk and yoghurt as well as cereal, tea, and coffee for breakfast- simple but just what we needed.I did bring my own gluten-free cereal. The hotel/pub is beautifully located being right on the Clarence River and the little town as some lovely older buildings.

The bathrooms were shared, which is fine, we knew that in advance. They could be spruced up a bit but the old pub is looking very good overall and seems well maintained.

Bed was comfortable; requested evening meal in the room, which was granted. Slept well. Quiet area.Light Breakfast was provided, requested alternative milk which was provided. Have stayed here a few times over the last year or two.

The main reason I stayed here was for the food...however....things have very much changed post Covid. The food was amazing, the cakes were 'to die for'. Unfortunately, this visit, I found the food quite average, & those delicious & 'never -before- heard-of cakes, were non-existent. Very disappointing. Went to the cafe down the road that has amazing pies, particularly the mushroom.

I stayed my first night in room 3 which was a really clean and a good size. It also has doors that open up to a large verandah. The location is quiet and even though the bathrooms are shared, they too are clean and a good size. The supplied breakfast was a real bonus. I travel a lot, and this is the best value for money room I've stayed in anywhere. Well worth the detour from the highway

Although the majority of the rooms in the hotel are excellent, I stayed a night on my return journey in room 5 as this was the only single room available when I made a last-minute booking. The room was good except that it had windows which would have been lovely, but they all open up to the corridor that led to the bathrooms. Rather than laying on the bed and waiving to people as they walked pass, I kept the rather inadequate blinds down and the fan on. Still value for money I guess but not for me.

We don't usually book places without private bathroom but thought we would try this lovely old hotel in the historic village of Ulmarra. The bathroom facilities were modern and in excellent condition. Easy to get to in the middle of the night. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable and fitted with good quality bed linen. There was a fridge, electric jug and a bottle of water supplied, as well as cereal, fruit and yoghurt for a light breakfast. We had dinner in the excellent restaurant downstairs.

Booked on-line the morning of my arrival, as it was in a good location relative to my travel plans driving south from Brisbane, good reports and reasonably priced. Restaurant was excellent, fresh local food and a varied menu, and a simple cold breakfast was provided in the booking cost.

A 1.5% credit charge fee was added to my bill over and above the quoted price.

Lovely old heritage pub. Room very clean and spacious with nice linen. Lovely balcony accessible from the room with plenty of seating. Meals were tasty. Great value for money. We would stay again.

Better curtains would be good to block out the street lights and for more privacy.

Beds were clean and comfortable. Great veranda access from room. Basic continental breakfast supplied. Nice outdoor setting by the Clarence river. The dinner menu was good. Excellent range of seafood specials. Complimentary drink.

Major roadworks and construction happening down main street. Will be fantastic when completed.

Beautiful old pub. Staff were lovely and helpful. Room, linen and towels were clean and room was quiet. Bed was firm but I like that. Fridge stocked well with real milk and plenty of it, fresh free filtered water, yoghurt, bananas and plenty of cereals. Nice outlook for dining.

Simple but good self serve breakfast in the room unlike any motel that only provide tea and coffee.

Room had doors opening to balcony around the hotel so anyone walking could see into the room. Good if hotel could put in some simple curtain or blind for privacy

Located on the Clarence River. It was lovely to sit in the evening and watch the sunset. Lovely restaurant with a good variety of food choices. Where else can you pay $88 for two people per night, including a continental breakfast
