Angel's Rest is a great place to stay in Moree. It is a standard motel and looking in need of an upgrade in some facilities but the customer service is remarkable. We left SE Qld very late afternoon having been delayed in house cleaning and packing our trailer for house move to Melbourne. We researched using GPS estimating we would arrive in Moree about 9.30 pm and rang ahead to make sure it was okay to arrive late and could get parking to accommodate our 10m ute and trailer rig. The office normally closes at 8.30pm and the owner offered to stay up to help us to unhitch the trailer and park. In fact the GPS didn't correctly adjust for daylight saving. When we realised we wouldn't arrive until after 11pm (after problems with the trailer) we rang and got entry instructions. The owner was so so helpful in every way. It made an otherwise fraught moving experience so much easier to handle. The bed was very comfortable And the cost (given my Booking.com discount) was amazing!!! Fab quality courtesy biscuits - macadam shortbread and chocolate chips.

The location is fantastic as I need to use the Moree Thermal Baths and meet friends off the Train without driving.

I liked everything really that is why I am a returning customer. The couple of improvements that could be made is to ensure the outside BBQ is fully serviced and working at all times. We are responsible guests and do not want strong cooking smells to contaminate rooms OR set off fire alarms. The other matter is check all lights are functioning every cleaning. My kitchenette fluro was really unuseable due to flickering. The staff are excellent, helpful and attentive, I cannot praise them highly enough.

Everything was super clean. I’ve stayed in pet friendly places which were not but this property, though old, was spotless. There is a little kitchen so if you want to do your own food you can. The food I ordered through them came in a timely manner and was delicious. Australian and Indian food is available, I chose Indian. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Only two things and the first brings me to the other. The property has nowhere to walk dogs for toileting so you need to go out of the gates and these are locked around 9pm, open around 6am. You need to unlock the combination lock to do so. The numbers are small and hard to read in the dark, even though a security light comes on and impossible to do from the outside meaning you have to leave it unlocked to toilet your dog. I’m sure there’s a better system.

Normally we travel with one dog, but this time we had 2, paid the fee for 2 dogs, but taking the dogs out for quick walks at night is hard as there is no grassed areas inside the gated area.

May have been a miscommunication or culture thing, my partner asked for a mop as we had dogs and it was raining, so paw prints in the motel room. Someone gave us a mop, but then someone else came in and demanded I stop mopping the floor and quickly snatched the mop off me.

Easy location to access. Security was evident (car park gates locked at night and security grilles on exterior windows). The room had a serviceable kitchenette and larger refrigerator than normal. Bedding was good, as was the bathroom layout. Hot water for shower and good water pressure. For the price of Genius 3, this was a great stay.

We got what we paid for, so nothing negative to mention. Would only be suitable for a short stay.

Very roomy, good location and very inexpensive.

We stayed there twice. First room the smell of cleaning powder or detergent on the bedding or floor was rather overwhelming and made my eyes water. Second room there was no such problem. We tried using the stove but it didn't work (the elements were warm but not hot enough to boil water after 15 minutes). We didn't try the meal service but it would be quite handy if you arrive late.

Exceptional value for money as room is fully equipped studio with kitchen as well. Staff very friendly and helpful. They have a full Indian restaurant menu for meals too which looked and smelled fantastic, though unfortunately I wasn't hungry as a late checkin. Also the parking is very secure with a security gate being closed at 9pm, though you have a combination to come and go if necessary. I was very impressed and would stay again if I'm back this way.

The room was excellent had all appliances including an oven. The staff were friendly. Location is very quiet and close to everything you need.

Air-conditioning didn't heat only cool air, not ideal on a cold night. Also limited blankets in room but I could have requested some from reception if before 8.30pm.

The staff were friendly and accommodating of our two dogs. The bed was firm but comfortable. It’s definitely an older motel (as per photos in listing) but is clean and tidy. It’s opposite the aquatic complex if you want to go for a swim during open hours

The gate is physically padlocked in the evening meaning you need to unlock and re-lock the gate to enter/exit. A little cumbersome but definitely gives peace of mind regarding vehicle security overnight.

The gentleman at reception was extremely helpful and responsive to all of our messages. I had left something in the room when we left and couldn't get back in to get them, it was well before reception hours and I called the number and realised I had woken the gentleman up at reception. He was more than happy to give me the room key to get back in to get our items. Couldn't be more pleased with the hospitality.
