the size was very good, staff very helpful. We appreciate the decor, the religion tone and the peaceful environment. Under the bed needed a vacuum. We have stayed they many time before and we will stay again. I would like to know of special offers within advance notice.

Under the bed needed a vacuum and the exhaust fan was very noisy. Other than that we want to stay longer. My partner is elderly and everything else is suitable. We really want to stay several times a years. As ex Airforce living in Nelson Bay many years ago, it brings back wonderful memories.

the room is spacious, complete with towels and kitchen amenities like microwave, electric kettle, plates,cutleries, dishwashing soap , the toilet and bathroom were clean , the size of the bedrooms were great.parking space is great. the location is great not too far from the marina.

the AC is not clean that’s why we did not use it, the weather is ok anyway.the pool is not ready yet when we came back at past 2 pm , the staff said pool was being clean at 1 pm , that’s why we came back late so it will be ready by then but it’s not .they did clean it though but we have to wait so we just rest instead.

The Admiral Nelson Motor Inn is a wonderful place to stay the management are lovely and greet you with a wonderful smile which is pleasant after a long drive,The cleaner's do a wonderful job cleaning the room every day and leave the room smelling beautiful and like it's a brand new room so I'm highly recommending this gorgeous place for you to stay and im already planning my next trip my next stay at this wonderful motor inn,Thank you Management Thank you Cleaning Ladies well done!

The one and only defect is the Television reception in the rooms are poor and this was frustrating when you just want to lay back and check out the local news and other things,I truly hope the management fixes this reception problem soon because it's the only issue I have with this place!

The room was spacious and clean, with everything we could need. Situated 1.5km from both Shoal Bay and Nelson Bay, meant that we didn't have far to go wherever we wanted to be. Not right on the beach, but not a long walk, and there is a pool for summer months. Room tidied every morning.

The bed wasn't particularly comfortable, and the rooms not very sound-proof. Lots of door slamming, although it did quieten down sufficiently so as not to disturb through the night. Parking area best suited to smaller vehicles, as it is tight for navigating in large SUVs.

Super clean. I was hesitant to book this hotel as the display photo was a bit scary and dark. But it turned out this is a really lovely motel,super clean, comfortable bed, easy parking, 24 hrs access to staff, and they filled up all biscuits and milk every morning ! Love it!

The sound proof is terrible. I cannot sleep the second night due to neighbour playing ?poker till very late and they were very loud.

Great value for money, we were only stopping over for the night and the room was spacious for three adults. The room was clean and had great facilities. Walking distance to the local RSL which was handy after a long drive.

A little bit noisy from the tv next door. You wouldn't want to be a larger person trying to get into the shower, not a very big opening.

Everything was fine . Nice pool. Clean rooms.

The young Asian boy reception was very weird. He didn't speak and it was like someone was forcing him to be there. He just stared at us when we were speaking to him and gave us one word answers. Definitely shouldn't be in customer service. He didn't say hello to welcome us when we arrived so we felt like we weren't welcome. Not a good feeling when we spend our hard earned money

We were later than we anticipated and let the motel know -but that was fine and a very detailed email advised us how to check in after Reception closed. This went very smoothly. Parking was right outside our room. The room was very clean, warm and comfortable. The heater was very quiet. There was a couch plus a small table (with a tablecloth) & 2 chairs which was great for us. Good bathroom with hot shower and plenty of water. Nice amenities supplied too. Bed was very comfortable. A really nice motel in a lovely town, we wish we could have stayed a couple more days.

A tiny bit more bench space near the sink would have been great but this was not too much of an issue for us. It didn't detract from the quality of our stay.

Great location, easy short walk to the shops and beach. We were able to wash our beach towels for $5 which was good. The motel was clean and we could use the pool as well, which was quite nice

There were so many rules and warnings everywhere, with threats of fines, if you pulled out the couch. Had to sign a waiver for the pool use, which had no pools games, which I thought was a little odd

What a lovely clean and efficient place to stop over. Reception rang to check our arrival time and waited for us to arrive just after the normal reception closing time. We felt most welcomed on arrival and efficiently processed into our room which was well decorated, clean and functional. And to top it all off, very good value ...

Liked it all.
