The bed was very comfortable. The day was cool and the reverse cycle aircon warmed the room nicely. The other guests with dogs were friendly too. The ensuite bathroom was lovely. The woman at reception when we arrived handed me a couple of dog biscuits and a Schmacko for my little boy. He enjoyed them all during our stay.

It's a pity it began to rain in the morning and that the local Botanical Gardens forbade dogs. There is nothing I didn't like about the motel.

very easy and quick check in which made it great after a long day travelling . receptionist very friendly and welcoming . the location was a little off the track to what we were on but that’s ok we found it easily and I really enjoyed the fact it was quite despite a lot of cars and I notced a lot of tradies or so staying I did expect to be worken early with that but was surprised we heard no noise at all . I also really loved how clean it was , probably one of the cleanest motels I have stayed in for a long time . kids were happy with how big the room was .

the only issue I can fault is the tv despite it being a smart tv wouldn’t connect to the wifi so kids wouldn’t watch Netflix or YouTube and I could of gone told reception after we tried the instructions in the information booklet to no avail but kids wernt fussed as used their phones and we were having an early night . I should of said upon checkout but forgot and it wasn’t really an issue anyway but I probably should of let them know so next guest could use it properly . probably something easily fixed as I’m not a technical person myself

We had 2 rooms, one was a pet room and one was a room with a double bed and single bed. The pet room was great as we were travelling with my sisters elderly dog. Both rooms were comfortable, clean, access to free netflix and wifi was a great bonus. Staff were very friendly and polite. Will definitely stay there again.

I did have some noisy neighbours on the second night of my stay. Not sure if the rooms aren't very soundproofed or if these neighbours were just particularly noisy while outside.

I liked the property because there was an available room when I needed it. There’s an iron and board in the room. The AC was also the best as it has all the functions for a comfortable sleep. Most of all, the staff were all helpful and accommodating.

As a solo traveler, I thought the room wasn’t that secure because of the big space between the door and the flooring, the door lock, and the window curtains couldn’t be spread wide enough to cover the window.

Close to facilities (1.3k walk to woolworths for example) and nicely located. I opted for a larger pet friendly room (not that I had a pet) to get a little more space over one of the standard rooms. was pleased with the space as it made things easier to move around in the room with my equipment stored there at night. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom is nicely laid out.

parking spots are a bit tight

It was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of power points and good lighting. I liked it had both air con and ceiling fans

I didn’t like the brick garden bed in front of the rooms It made it harder to in unload the luggage They are also at a height hard to see when parking. I was worried about my elderly aunt falling over them or tripping

About 15 mins drive from central Newcastle & beaches. Quiet area. Our room was compact but very clean. Comfortable bed. Bar fridge with good freezer. Parking was good even when we came back late at night. This is well-cared for hotel, which would stay in again.

Trying to access the fridge was awkward as it is tucked into a tight space.

The room was comfortable and clean, bed was super comfy, tea and coffee making facilities including wine glasses was appreciated. The location is just a short drive from the main tourist areas but you can also access a couple of restaurants down the road. The hosts are lovely people.

You could hear people talking outside the room as is typical with a motel of this era, but not a big deal for us.

Clean, modern bathroom. Good bed for the star rating and budget of this motel. Room had microwave and good size bar fridge. But no plates or cutlery - thought went and asked and they were more than happy to provide.

Smokers just outside rooms, even though signs saying no smoking and a designated smokers area away from rooms

Great location, spacious room, amazing communication with staff. We arrived really late and stayed only for a night on the way from Gold Coast to Melbourne, but got all instructions in advance and was very easy to find. Good value for money! Plus an option to stay with a dog, there're few rooms, is perfect for us for future trips.
