Almost everything was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were adequate, the location was great and property was wonderful.

The lever to control the shower temperature and water pressure was too easily bumped into, turning our shower into either a boiling hot or freezing cold glass torture box. The pool was filthy, it needs to be cleaned more often, it was filled with dead insects and other miscellaneous flotsam. The restaurant on the hotel grounds was incredibly overpriced and quite frankly the menu was small and unappetising.

I like the covered parking, i like the set up of their restaurants, the quality of the room and walls, i like how they offer daily cleaning. The staff are nice and very accommodating.

I think the price is a bit too expensive for what it can offer. It is not really like walking distance from big shops. The price in the menu is a bit pricey too and not too much options that a restaurant can offer. I suggest to add more menu to entice more people eating in the restaurant.

It was exceptionally clean and new looking inside. Beds were incredibly comfortable!! Very good cleaning service. Very nice and clean bathroom and good to be able to wash and dry clothes in the laundry.

The fridge was very small, no microwave and nowhere for storage but it’s ok if it’s a quick trip. The pool was nice but water not that clean and there were some black swimming bugs that kept biting me until I removed them from the pool.

Stayed in 7 different Hotel / Motels during this trip and the Ashby was in the top 1/3 of establishments. Generally clean and well maintained. Staff were professional and friendly. All in all good value for money.

Rooms exceeded parking spaces so could not park under cover. Toilet seat was not correctly secured. ROOM 2 I think. Stayed in another room in Narrabri. it had a spar bath, a separate bed room, two TV's and a Large Kitchen. The cost was $10 less than the Ashby - still, demand is no doubt higher in Tamworth.

The room has been recently & tastefully refurbished. The bathroom was modern & clean.

Specifically booked a “terrace” room on top level. Imagine our surprise when there was no access to the terrace from our room due to double hung windows (bottom window locked) rather than doors leading out. There was a table & chairs on the terrace but unable to use.

The look of the place is very cool. The apartment was nice and roomy, plenty of space for a family of 4. The bathroom was new and clean. The best thing was the shower, amazing water pressure.

The split system air conditioning was noisy through the night. The double bed was a little bouncy.

We stayed in the cottage which was beautiful. Just of to the side of the main building, self contained with separate kitchen, living, bathroom and 2 bedrooms. Check-in was open until 9pm. Immaculate presentation with the convenience of restaurant which was great. Breakfast delivered to door in morning on time and freshly cooked. Overall a delightful stay.

Only thing we could fault was no washing machine or dryer facilities.

Ashby House was beautiful to look at and gorgeous to stay in. The woman in reception was fantastically friendly and helpful and I just felt so welcomed. The rooms were modern and well-appointed and the location very central. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone going to Tamworth.

beautiful building, lovely big room looking out on to the terrace. clean and tidy. some mini bar products available. staff were very friendly and helpful.

only thing I can fault is that you can’t access the balcony/terrace from your room, no doors, only windows, have to walk around.

We stayed in the Ashby cottage. It was very roomy and comfortable. It is located close to the centre of Tamworth. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The kitchen was useful as we could cook food on one of the evenings. There is easy access to the pool and we could park right next to the cottage.

The Wifi was a bit slow which with teenage kids is essential to allow them access for their phones. Apart from the Wifi, the rest of our 2 night stay at the cottage had everything we needed for a family of four with older children.
