I chose this place because lately I prefer hotels. It's so rare to find a hotel that has a funky, vibrant, and trendy vibe. This place ticked all the boxes and was even better than the pictures captured. You would think that staying in the Valley it would be noisy. However, once we were in our room we couldn't hear anything and got a really peaceful night of sleep. I also loved the flexibility with being able to leave our bags at reception on the last day and also that I was able to check in a little earlier at no extra cost, really appreciated it on such a hot day!

Breakfast is not included and the cafe attached to the hotel doesn't have a huge amount of options on the menu.

Loved the efforts at making the place more environmentally friendly; the big bottles of shampoo/conditioner/soap were so much better quality than you'd usually get in a hotel, and less environmental impact than the tiny little travel bottles, too. And thr option to reuse linen/towels wasn't applicable to us, as we only stayed one night, but had it been multiple nights we would have used that little card. Also the art in the whole place was so cool, including the view out the window which could have been SO miserable if it were a plain brick wall instead but with the painting on the wall, it made the whole thing so cool. Plus the blue lights were a nice option, for when you needed to see your way around but don't want the full overheads on. The hot chocolates/teas/coffees were all good quality, and the blackout curtains were AMAZING.

A bit more space to hang things would have been great; hooks on the walls for jackets/jumpers/shirts/etc. And the shower floor was kinda slippery when first used; I think the housekeeping staff might not have fully rinsed it after cleaning? Not sure

I wasn't aware that the hotel was directly next to a bar. Considering our room looked through the bar next door (as in, out the window you could see right inside the bar) the noise wasn't too bad. But definitely bass noise. Service was great. Staff were friendly and room service was quick. Location is perfect for a night out. The bar next door had meals we got for takeway.

I don't think the bedding was so fresh. Hubby and I both had a rash on our arms from either the bedding or detergent if it was from the detergent then it's not their fault obvs.

The Courtyard Suite I stayed in was spacious, well appointed and very private; all it is missing is being dog friendly 😉 It’s location is perfect; central but away from the Valley’s chaos. The free parking is fantastic, and very handy I want to give a special shoutout to Ronn, who provided exceptional service throughout my stay. From the moment I arrived, after hours, I was impressed with his genuinely warm demeanour, as well as his excellent customer service - it makes the world of difference at the end of a long day to have such a lovely check in process, and I very much appreciated it! I will most definitely be staying again, and highly recommend this hotel ! Thank you, Constance Hotel, and a big thank you to Ronn for making my stay so enjoyable!!

Fantastic location for the Valley entertainment precinct, and really funky decor in the rooms. Great that parking is validated for half the price of staying parked in McWhirters carpark (when did that triple?!) otherwise for an overnight. If you're feeling up to it, you could dress up and go to 'Dirty Sultans' upstairs for a fancy lounge around and cocktail (but looks to be for the very fancy folk - wonder if I'd get let in with dress flats or Vans/Converse?!) but this also means the area is a lil loud on a Friday/Sat nights - till 2am+. Or see if the pretty 'Rose Room' is open for breaky/lunch right next door, gorgeous place. I do love the art-deco decor, the art work generally and the bathroom basin is really huge. For a Friday night, the standard Queen room was $200, more affordable than a lot of options nearby when booked a few months out.

We did not realise there were black-out blinds in our room (by remote), so the sunlight came straight in at 5am. After a night out we hoped to sleep in. But that's on us I guess, however the room could have a larger sign to mention there is a little remote for the black-out curtains on the side table. We did not use the TV, so we gather the remote for the blinds was near the TV remote if we looked. The bathroom bench-top area is tiny (after the huge basin)! Yes minor haha, but being a female I had to have my make-up goods and pieces outside the bathroom and just grab what I needed whilst getting ready. There is a mirror outside near the entry though too.

Have stayed here a number of times over the years and has always been such a great place to stay. In the perfect location to the top and bottom end of the valley. I have a feeling it's changed ownership - the only difference is you don't get bottles of water and lollies on arrival in your room anymore - all of the rooms used to come with that awesome little touch but other then that awesome rooms with different art throughout - Awesome it has parking now!!!! If you are staying longer, it is definitely worth upgrading to the spa room 😍

Bring back the bottles of water and lollies - nice touch, especially if you have a hangover

Continently located to where we wanted to go. Cute. Trendy rooms. Nice vibe. Checkout Staff were amazing. We mentioned the noise and they were extremely apologetic and gave me a partial refund for the inconvenience.

The noise. Roof top bar and function space next door—so loud until 3am. No one mentioned this on check-in. There was a smell from the drain in the shower. Fix the noise! Or offer cheaper rate for noise impacted rooms. We’d be back for sure if we knew that wasn’t going to be an issue!

This place was NICE! I'm glad I ended up booking this place. The service team was excellent. Check-in was a breeze; the employees were all friendly and cheery, bed was big and nice. And of course, the TV was huge and swiveled out from the wall, which was a great addition. The rooms themselves are immaculate. I only had a key to my floor, so I didn't see any other rooms, but my room matched the decor of the floor, it seemed. It was a beautiful room. The bathroom sink was like a piece of art (literally), and the shower was excellent! Very happy that I booked my stay here and will most likely stay here next time I'm in town! Kudos to the team!

There's nothing not to like about The Constance. There's a cool little cafe/bar downstairs, and there's a TON of stuff within a couple minute walk. It's centrally located to just about everything, so it's hard to get into a better location.

it’s location for the event we were going to was perfect. walking distance from the air train, walking distance to Brunswick Street and also Felons. it was clean and comfortable - very comfy beds. staff were friendly and helpful.

it can get noisy because of the location and a very nearby club but staff kindly put us on the fourth floor and other side of the building but we were out enjoying ourselves so only heard the club for about an hour on our return. we were warmed by staff and that was appreciated. it’s not something we disliked but if we weren’t on a late night out we would probably been more bothered.

The property was booked at the eleventh hour after a very disappointing experience at a previous accommodation through booking.com. Carley the receptionist could not do enough for us - the rooms are boutique style not huge but for 3 nights they worked - very comfortable and very clean. The staff were all accommodating, would highly recommend a great location.

The only downside I would say is if you are staying at the weekend ask for a quiet room as the music from the bar next door went on until 3am on Saturday night but a small price to pay for a lovely hotel. Otherwise it was very quiet. We were on the second floor facing the bar.
