Stunning well-maintained Queenslander. The smell of the oiled and waxed timberwork takes you to another era. Large room with high ceilings and a huge ensuite that accommodates a makeup mirror, table and chair as well as the shower, toilet and hand basin. A large very comfortable wooden framed bed was just what the doctor ordered after a long drive and dinner with friends nearby. Surrounding shops and restaurants cater for items you may have forgotten to pack. The breakfast offered cereals, fruit, bread, etc., and cooked offerings. I had some fruit (including some delicious pineapple) and yoghurt followed by cooked ham and eggs. This rates as the top B&B I have ever stayed in.
There was nothing not to like about this place. I could not fault a single thing, the great reception, room, and breakfast made our stay the best.

What a beautiful place to stay. Clean , comfortable and when we walked into our accommodation The Railway Room it was on the ground floor, which we chose smelt lovely and clean. Our accommodation was very spacious, beautifully furnished.we also had our own on-suite which was good also. There was other accommodation upstairs which was beautifully furnished. This B&B was run by the owners , the hostess Liz and her husband Richard who was the Chef. We had a yummy breakfast both days, which consisted of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, fruit juice and a eggs, Bacon tomato and avocado. tea and coffee which we had in the dinning room You walk up the stairs and it's like stepping back in time with the old furniture of table and chairs on the veranda. I absolutely loved it. They serve lunch on the top verandah Thursday to Sunday The food was beautiful, I had the Cornish Pastie served with salad and the dressing on the salad was so yummy.. Besides what I had there was other food on the menu, and including Hi Teas , Scones Jam and Cream.. If you are coming for lunch it is B.YO for wine and beer.. If you don't want to sit upstairs you have the option to sit out on the outside seating on the lawn, which would be lovely on a fine day.. I also loved the fact was when you arrived park your car and everything is in walking distance which was great, , for eating out at night. Well we loved this place and we will certainly be back. Thankyou Liz , Richard for your warm hospitality.

Thr location was so lovely, walking distance to whatever you need. The area was very safe, and thr people were so lovely. Richard was so accommodating. I was there for work so I'd leave very early and come home very late. I can't say with my hand on my heart that i loved coming home to my inviting space, because it was cosy and welcoming. I would fall into bed exhausted and it felt like a big così hug with the pillow, cushion and fluffy donna. Most of all i felt safe. I was a woman travelling alone and for me safely and cleanliness are so important, this accommodation met both my needs. I would highly recommend this lovely accommodation.
Everything was great

The property is beautifully well kept, the room was lovely with 4 post solid wood bed and very comfy mattress. The floor rugs and heavy curtains give a wonderful homey feel. The owners are lovely and friendly along with their family dog who greeted us each morning at breakfast where we were offered fresh cooked hot breakfast of eggs, toast, bacon and sides or continental style with cereals and yoghurt. Fresh coffee or hot pot of tea (various blend options) also offered each morning. Great location to public transport, local restaurants and shopping.

Location in a beautiful village setting, walk to shops, restaurants, pub. Easy access to the highway and country-side. Property was immaculately clean, beds very comfy. Open to the public from 11am, so gives accommodation guests enough time to still have place to themselves in the morning and night. Cleanliness was 100%. The resident orange cat and dog, very affectionate!
Be mindful of having to carry luggage up/down stairs if elderly or have issues with stairs etc. Would have loved a fan in the downstairs room to circulate air as not hot enough to have a/c on.

Liz & Rich were wonderful, friendly hosts who warmly welcomed us to their Mudgeeraba property, opposite the Village Green. We appreciated their local knowledge of the surroundings and recommendations of places to eat. Our room had lots of extras e.g. fruit, biscuits, coffee & tea. The breakfast was nice each morning with an assortment of cereals, yoghurts and fruits as starters, followed by a delicious bacon and eggs. We also had the high tea which was amazingly, great value for only $44p.p. You can even bring a bottle of wine/bubbles if you want, for a minimal corkage charge. There was an abundance of various savoury and sweet foods (all yummy) and all prepared by Rich and washed down with the choice of a variety of beautiful teas. We couldn't eat all the food on offer! The high tea is a must do. It certainly added to our experience staying at the Village B & B. We highly recommend this place.
Everything was great.

Clean, lots of space, comfortable bed. Quiet, even though near the road. Breakfast included. Offered a full cooked breakfast but we stuck to cereal and tea. Good choice of restaurants within easy walking distance. Off street parking.
No complaints but watch the intersection when you turn left from the building and join the main road at the bottom of the hill.

We stayed in an upstairs room called the Andrews room in this historic home that had been lovingly restored & renovated. Our room oozed with charm & character. The bed was super comfy & large. Facilities in the room include a fridge & tea/coffee making facilities, ceiling fan, aircon, ample storage space and a desk and chair. The private ensuite was a good size & the shower was excellent. Doors from our room opened onto a deck. An excellent breakfast was provided every morning that included cereals, fruit, toast, bacon & eggs, juices etc. We ate breakfast outside on the deck each morning. We also ate lunch out by the pool a couple of times & also enjoyed swimming in the pool. Liz & Rich, the hosts are amazing, so friendly & helpful. They gave us good tips on where to eat locally & what to do while staying on the Gold Coast. We are very appreciative of the way they looked after us. The house is located in a lovely quiet village, but close enough to get to all of the Gold Coast attractions quickly. We rate this as the best Bed & Breakfast we've ever stayed at.

What a gorgeous room! Furnished in beautiful cottage-style furniture and decor, so befitting of the grand Queenslander building. The location was perfect for us. It was so close to supermarkets and lovely local shops for a taste of local cuisine and crafts. The real gem was that we were able to walk across the road to our sporting event each day - no need to battle for a car park!
Unfortunately we were unable to experience the lovely breakfast as we had to be at our sports event early in the morning.

What a beautiful place. This is the second time we’ve stayed there. Liz and Rich are amazing. It’s like staying at a mates place. Very very clean, rooms feel like home, better than any 5 star hotel we’ve ever stayed in. On top of that your breakfast is included and you get to meet Marley. We will be back.
Thinking………………….mmmm can’t even think of anything menial.
