The bed and breakfast was lovely. The owner was friendly and very responsive to my needs. The breakfast was lovely - for 4 of the mornings I was on my own and had personalized service. I was also so lucky to have the balcony to myself nearly every night out of the 6 I stayed due to being a quiet first week in January. Good location, I didn’t have access to a car so walked everywhere which I didn’t mind. It was about a 20 min walk to shops and main streets of Ipswich. I would stay here again. Room was vintage like but lovely and comfortable.
Nothing I disliked, obviously would warn people as is advertised on web that you have to climb set steep stairs with suitcase to access room which i could manage but would be difficult for some.

Staff were very friendly, and tried hard to please. Large room, two wardrobes with plenty of hangers, two small bedside tables with 3 drawers each. The whole house was neat and clean. Ensuite basic, but clean and adequate. Good quality towels (typically too small). Very quiet fridge and ac unit. Access to shared balcony, with separate tables & chairs for each room (some rooms have private balconies). About 5 minutes drive (25 mins walk) to the centre of Ipswich.
Very inexperienced hosts, struggling to get the hang of their roles. Steep and narrow stairs up to the rooms, unsafe for anyone with mobility difficulties.

Arrived around 8pm after an international flight into Brisbane. Directions to Comquat House were on point and no trouble driving up the side drive to park at the back of the property - plenty of parking, good gravel and private! Only had a small carry-on but owner carried bags to the room and it was lovely. Quiet night and continental breakfast in the morning (complimentary) was a proper continental breakfast .. coffee was great, fruit salad fresh, good range of cereals, orange juice and toast (? - I didn't have any). Lovely couple, very gracious! Highly recommended!!
Nothing to dislike.

Great location, gorgeous old style, nostalgic building, good parking, comfy bed and linen. Included breakfast was lovely fresh fruit, cereals, granola, yoghurt, juice and choice of breads for toast. Great coffee. Hosts were welcoming.
Breakfast was only at specific times (10 min increments) , eg 7.30, 7.40 etc. Not the best when on a weekend away and wanting to be flexible. Had to set an alarm as there seemed to be no flexibility.

We liked everything about the Cumquat accomodation, we loved that it was different than a standard hotel, old Spanish style house with high ceilings and beautiful balcony with stunning views made me feel like in one of the Southern Europe style houses. Breakfast was really nice, with cereals, fruit, nuts and yoghurt available, 2 choices of toast and gem and delicious coffee. Bed was made up daily and room was tidied daily Loved everything and the hosts were really nice too. thank you
can't think of anything.

The customer service was excellent, the hostess was always offering to help, even carry our bags up the stairs.
Breakfast was a slightly warm cooked egg and sausage, with cereal and juice offered. Garlic bread was also given, but perhaps a cultural thing, but I was surprised with this over ordinary toast. It was fine - it met expectations, we weren't staying in a 5 star hotel!

Lovely old place. Very nice and quite private. Very likeable and helpful gentleman host.
After arranging a very late breakfast at 7:55 am, we arrived at 7:45 am to be greeted by a mouthful of abuse from the hostess for being late? And then harassed for not eating fast enough? Finally, I needed to check my work messages and emails, as I was still on call for my job, and then copped another mouthful and informed that “We don’t use phones at the table”. Which necessitated me leaving breakfast to catch up on my work. Suggest you skip breakfast, otherwise place is great.

Everything about this heritage B&B with it`s elegant modern touches is just amazing.... From the warm welcome with Peter who outlined some of the history, to the room, (we were in Hadley Adams) the views from the balcony, the gardens, the comfy bed, the quality linen, the homemade shortbread & the yummy breakfast served by Marie around a communal dining room table. Absolutely stunning!!
Couldn't fault anything

The location was quiet, the house was lovely to look at and inside well restored. The room was just what I needed, room to work at a great sized desk, great bed a TV that was placed not for ease of the property but for the guest! The shower was great size and great water pressure, there were multiple power points for using all your gadgets and 2 luggage racks if you were a couple. Bed was very comfortable, nice linen and great towels. Little treats and plenty of tea and coffee. Hosts were very friendly, very experienced and very professional.

Good sized breakfast with fresh fruit and dried fruit, choice of cereals and tea/coffee, toast and choice of the jams. Gracious hosts have taken great care to cater for guests' needs. Thick towels, variety of pillows, private sitting area, fridge and tea making facilities, television, local information, peaceful environs, excellent off street parking....all made for a super relaxing stay.
Could not fault a thing.
