Overall stay was superb. No concerns. 24 hour reception was assuring, staff very friendly. Easy location, large parking and superb location. Walking into the room with the ocean view it’s to die for. Large balcony, huge living area and bedroom. Room provided all amenities, huge areas and room is very large and satisfactory. Balcony is perfect, flawless views. Local food, shops very close by. Coles very close by. Everything is very easy and accessible. Perfect for kids waterpark next door & during summer months ferris wheel. Staff are very accommodating bringing towels all the time and emptying rubbish/rooms daily. Everything is close to you, it’s a great stay. We do not have anything bad to say about the team @ Oaks Glenelg. Thanks so much. We will be returning.
Very minor items which I had no concerns with but to raise attention to future stays: - Room is quite dated but still worth the money. Would recommend not to use the kitchen amenities - Beach: Beach infront of the hotel, please be aware off your belongs. I personally witnessed within two days two people get their bags stolen infront of me. Keep belongs in a safe place, do not leave towels unattended.

Location is good, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean enought.
Itt is rather a studio than a, one-bedroom appartment. A bedroom is there, technically, but it is separated by glass doors from the rest of apartments. So, it is not really sound- or nouse proof. There was a washing mashine and a dishwasher, but neither washing powder or dish washer pills/liquid are not provided. Probably the appartment management, expects their guests travel with washing powder and dishwasher liquid, despite 300$ they charge for a night. Also, giests are charged extra $30 for parking for each day. . At Sat night we could hear a loud music from the hotel bar. So, you better bring an ear-plugs along with washing powder. Overall, rooms look a bit outdated and need some makeover to bring them to modern standards.

Location is perfect. Bar & restaurant were hood & apartments were a great size, with all mod cons available. Indoor pool & gym an added bonus.
The bathrooms were old and dated & could be modernised. They were A bit dirty with some mildew particularly around the shower. I expected more than this. The toilet roll holder was also hanging off the wall. I also found 2 pairs of dirty & used socks under the bed when I 1st arrived so that hadn't been cleaned properly either. I also asked at reception off there were any wipes available for cleaning gym equipment after it was used but I was told that the cleaning staff clean the gym. I explained about sweat being transferred throughout the day from a person to equipment & it not being cleaned & the man on reception said there was nothing he could do.

Well we paid over $2000 for 6 nights. We got there and the room was tiny, and I mean tiny. The bedroom was seperated from the Lou g area by a glass door that didn’t close as it was obstructed by a bedside table that didn’t fit in the room. The blinds were sheer and as anyone with a toddler can imagine there was no chance of a nap with the complete sun beaming in. If a person has children under 5 then this hotel is not appropriate for you. The balconies are glass with big gaps large enough for a small child to fit through. Hence we went to reception and told them we could not stay in the room. Eventually after we asked for a refund so we could leave, a man on reception gave us a different room. This room was spacious with an enclosed balcony. It had great kitchen facilities and was clean. This room was on the 7th floor where the larger rooms are in this hotel. If you do not book a room on this floor then I would not bother with the oaks. All other rooms are pokey, dusty, and dangerous.
Our bed was made once in 7 days. Parking was not mentioned at time of booking but when we got there we were told there is no free parking anywhere for miles and we were charged $22 per day (usually $30 but I complained).

Property location was fabulous and customer service staff at reception was excellent. The view from restaurant for breakfast was great too!
Booked three same room types and each was very different regarding room views, I had a shower over bath which is dangerous for seniors, my friends had walk in showers (I didn’t know you had to request this beforehand when booking. I only had one smaller type TV in my apartment sitting area, my friends had much larger screens in their rooms with additional smaller TV’s in bedrooms. Minor things that can make a difference. Overall, it was a lovely trip away.

Our Room on the 2nd Level had excellent views, and gave easy access to the Pool each day on the same level.
While overall quite good, the Hospitality touch was a bit lacking, eg, condiments, no salt or pepper, tea & coffee was ordinary, utensils were very slim. TheCompany Policy of $40 per day for parking for Guests is a breaker. In reality, guests have little choice at Glenelg. 24 hr parking outside is cost prohibitive. A fairer approach would be to tell guests before booking or include in the price (declared).

Great location to spend New Year’s Eve with the family. Space was perfect with a huge balcony! Really grateful we were given the room with the huge balcony. Can’t fault location! Place was clean and had most things you’d need to be comfortable.
On arrival we noticed hand soap dispensers were empty. There was no dishwashing liquid or sponges to wash dishes so we had to request them. We would think these basic supplies would be provided and topped up before guests arrive. We had to pay for a portacot which we thought should be free as hotels and air bnbs we have stayed in wouid provide these free epically when you pay premium prices for the booking already.

Located near public transport, restaurants and easy access to everything. Right near a patrolled beach. We had a great view. The room and beds were comfortable. The staff were very good. Responsive and accommodating. They were friendly and happy. We had a slight glitch with the bedding set up. This was rectified within the hour. The pool was great. Both the pool and spa could have been a bit warmer for me, however, I do like a warm pool.
The only thing that was a bit annoying was the access to the car park. On entry, you need to open your door to enter the access code. It was positioned badly. The one at the exit was fine, the right height and you could reach to enter codes etc.

I liked the location and the way the room was set up. I booked a room with a view over the reserve which was great. Glenelg is an interesting place, I spent lots of my younger years here. So it was familiar. Over all great position.
I didn't like the fact that my bed was uncomfortable. It had a centre board so I couldn't spread out. Most of the furniture is looking 'a bit tired now. The kettle was broken and was replaced with new promptly. I also think its definitely slightly overpriced because of mentioned examples. No room service is a let down for me, as I have a few health issues which limit me walking too much. Paying extra for parking is also a drag considering what the rooms cost.

Location excellent, rooms are quite small but adequate. the rooms are quite different from each other so depends if you are lucky enough to get a newer appointed room. And view, some rooms really have no view, others have view of park and some of the ocean depends where you get allocated. But the plus with this property is its location and ease to move to and from the property.
Booking and flexibility of bookings needs to improve. Also as it is an international chain sometimes you call and get a person that does not have information on your booking as they are either interstate or overseas which is frustrating. My other issue is that it is cheaper to book through Booking.com than direct. Something to be considered in the future.
